I was impressed by the quality of service, particularly after changing my mind about a dressing and arugula mid-order during the bowl making process. The staff was friendly, positive, and upbeat when making the change. I visited during the peak hours in the evening on a Friday night, but the service was prompt and wait time was minimal. I am surprised I have not rated CAVA earlier! This is my absolute favorite location in the Triangle area. They are quick, always have fresh ingredients and honor both delivery orders and pick ups. I love the falafel, because they are always soft and piping hot. I would recommend ordering there because they seem to give you a greater quantity then. I sometimes feel like I get half a bowl when I order delivery. My favorite hummus are the eggplant, crazy feta, red pepper. The dressings are all delicious but I always go for the lemon herb tahini and skhug. The ambiance is friendly and everyone sitting there to eat seems to be having a good time. I have been going to cava for years so I was very excited for one in south Durham to open finally open up! Positives- the staff is very friendly! The food has been great and orders have been accurate. Negatives- the wait can be bad. I looked at other reviews and it does look like they have a history of not being able to handle large amounts of people well. I can see that. The line has been frustrating and unexpected. Made my own bowl on a bed of spinach and saffron basmati rice with half falafel/grilled chicken; Crazy Feta, Red Pepper Hummus, & Eggplant; a bit of all the toppings; Garlic & Tahini Caesar dressings on the side; and a pita bread on the side. I find the falafel here so interesting: it had whole chickpeas and is a lot more mushy (not in a bad way) than other falafels I've had. Ambiance is good: lots of indoor seating with a few tables outdoors as well. Service was fast. Large parking lot in front. 9/10 would recommend! read more

If this rating could be zero it would be. I have contacted Cava to check in on this location. I placed an ASAP order at 7:12PM, just a bowl, kids pita, and side of chips, when I hit submit it told me that my order would be ready at 8:30PM. HUH?! Immediately I tried calling the store to cancel. I called 4 times and no one answered and I never got sent to voicemail to leave a message. I then proceeded to submit a customer support complaint because there's no other way to cancel an order! Thankfully the customer support person is issuing me a full refund, but then I got an order update at 8:15PM saying that the order wouldn't be ready until 8:54PM! This is my first and last experience with this store. I have never experienced anything like this before and I'm just flabbergasted. Get it together Cava Southpoint! I have been a Cava customer since the first one in Raleigh opened in 2018-2019 and will just avoid this one at all cost. I hate to give bad reviews but I have to be honest when I have a negative experience. This is a new location and we stopped by for a Sunday brunch. They were advertising a special limited-time dish which we both ordered. The staff person took our order and then halfway through it, told us that item was no longer available so we had to change or orders to something different. A different staff person took our order and asked us if we wanted anything else. I said yes, we'd like a fountain drink. He rang us up and I noticed the bill did not include a fountain drink. I told him we had ordered a drink and he acted like it was our fault for not telling him, although we clearly said so. The food was fine, and on par with our previous experience at other CAVA locations. I went to the men's room and noticed they were out of paper towels. Everytime I have been to this location it feels unorganized and the wait is awful. We tried ordering ahead this time and had to wait 35 mins after our scheduled pickup time. 10/10 experience. This is the newly opened Cava near southpoint mall. I had an amazing experience for my first time. As an avid chipotle lover, they may now have some competition. Cava is very fulfilling and this location is very clean and up to standards. The employees are wonderful and the vibes are amazing. This new location is such a train wreck! Have been 3x and have had to wait 30+ minutes for an online order each time. The most recent time, we submitted a mobile order at 6:45pm. Got to the store at 7, our order wasn't ready until 7:25pm! Then, there were so many things wrong with our order, they must've mixed them up and labeled them wrong because what they gave us was full of ingredients we didn't ask for and missing things we did ask for. We are running late to catch a movie a this point since our order took 40 minutes to make (mind you the store was practically empty the whole time we were there waiting, they just moved so slow. There were about 5 people waiting on mobile orders, and about 7 employees there working, the walk in line was empty). We requested a refund given that we had to leave in order to catch our movie. The cashier was nice but the manager Kyra was so rude! She seemed appalled that we would request a refund. Then, when we politely pointed out the 8+ things wrong with our order, instead of apologizing she doubled down on her nasty attitude and insisted she could NOT help us resolve anything and we would need to call corporate for a refund.
