    Blackened Bleu Burger

Still best burgers in the County. Had the Black n Bleu sgain. Cooked perfectly. Fries reminded me of fries from Ocean City, Md boardwalk. Also be sure to try the Zuzu shrimp app either hot or Asian chili sauce.

I stopped by Zuzu's for ice cream on my way to the pier. It's a local fave that was recommended by many. Know that's it's an older establishment (and it shows signs of old age) that likely holds lots of fun memories. It has that local diner feel that made it a bit more fun for me. They had about a dozen choices of hand-dipped ice creams. I got butter pecan in a waffle cone and it was delicious! I didn't order food but the place was packed with people eating delicious looking meals (burgers, sandwiches, etc.)

Trio Salad | Scoop of homemade chicken salad, tuna salad and egg salad on our house salad with your choice of dressing
    Sharon M.

Recommend the Trio Salad which includes generous scoops of their homemade chicken salad, tuna salad and egg salad along with greens and choice of dressing. It could have used just a bit more greens in my opinion. Overall the salad was pretty good and didn't even need any dressing. The wings were good too! Location: Mallery Street just steps away from the pier.

Now this was a burger!!! So glad I made the stop. The lady at the counter was friendly and accommodating, food was made to orders. Will make sure to stop by every time I'm in SSI!

We tried this spot for the very first time today. Our favorite, Sandcastle Cafe just next door, was a little full and had stopped the breakfast buffet. We had a 45 minute wait there so we went to Zuzu's. We were pleased they were able to accommodate us. They were short-staffed but served us beautifully. The waitress was very accommodating. They do charge automatic 18% gratuity for parties of 5 and up. Parking is ample outside along the pier. The food was delicious, cooked-to-order, and hot. I loved the double cheeseburger. It reminded me of the ones my Dad used to make when we were growing up. The ambience here is very diner/dive-like. They are not fancy, but the food is very good and fulfilling. I didn't see any desserts on the menu. Give them a shot on your next trip to St. Simon's.

If you're in the mood for a fantastic burger this is the place to go. Highly recommend the fried pickle appetizer as well.

Overall, it was a pretty good experience. The food was good, the service was excellent, and it was fairly laid back. There was a live band playing which I didn't expect on a Sunday night but it was alright. Their libations menu was nice and nicely priced. Food-wise was kinda your standard pub grub with a few tasty surprises. Here's what we had: Drinks: -Backhouse Pinot noir -Silver Bluff Mexican lager Dinner: -Wild GA shrimp basket w/ side salad -Shrimp and Grits -Fried Flounder with side of mashed potatoes -Clam chowder My shrimp and grits were good but a touch salty. My lady and her mom enjoyed their food for sure. This place was pretty packed almost every night so it's definitely a local favorite. They're certainly doing something right for that. I'd consider going back next visit.

There were some great options which made choosing difficult, but we tried the biscuits and gravy (go ahead - get 2 biscuits!) and the fried chicken and biscuit. Both were great! The sandwich wasn't huge so it was a perfect amount for breakfast. We sat inside - it's very cute - with a market and to go as well as the tables. Food comes up fast and is really reasonably priced! The chicken was perfectly fried - not greasy - and the hot honey was a nice touch (and thankfully, not too hot). Good bathrooms and lots of tasty looking items in the refrigerated cases (including various types of seafood to cook).

I decided on a grits bowl . I was shocked at ghe size of the bowl when it was delivered a short while later. Huge is an understatement. The grits were well done, the bacon plentiful and lots of cheese. I could only finish about half of it. Really nice dish I will get again. There's not a lot of tables, and it would be hard for a large group but even if you have to wait for a table, it is worth the wait! I will return!

I highly recommend their buffalo crab dip, a concoction that is a buffalo cheese dip served with fresh lump crab. You can really taste the crab in this dish. They don't skimp on it at all. The most clever thing that they did here, though, is to serve it with wonton chips. It's something that's truly unique, as most restaurants would serve a dish like this with regular chips. The wonton chips are a treat unto themselves, having great wonton flavor. However, when you combine it with the dip, it really takes it over the top. Highly recommend. For my entree, I had their Cajun Alfredo pasta. It is linguine served in a "Cajun-spiced Alfredo sauce". It is "served with tasso and smoked sausage", and you can choose to have it with either chicken or wild GA shrimp. In either case, once again, they do not skimp . You get a heaping portion of either chicken or shrimp, and the sauce is very tasty. It is just as described, an Alfredo sauce with a little Cajun flavor, though it is not spicy. It is served with no sides, but no sides are necessary as it is a hearty portion all by itself. Very delicious. The most impressive thing that I saw is that the owner is very hands-on. They have these new-fangled mobile electronic lamps, and the owner came by and noticed that ours wasn't quite working. He replaced it immediately himself. He was very friendly and chatted us up. He also went around and was serving and clearing tables himself. It seems that if you eat here, there's a strong possibility that you could end up meeting the owner! Meeting him was a very nice touch. The only thing that I had a hard time with here was choosing a dish because everything looked so good on the menu! Delicious food and great service. I strongly recommend this place!
