    Blackened Bleu Burger
    Dan W.

Still best burgers in the County. Had the Black n Bleu sgain. Cooked perfectly. Fries reminded me of fries from Ocean City, Md boardwalk. Also be sure to try the Zuzu shrimp app either hot or Asian chili sauce.

Grilled Brussel sprouts! These are the best I have had. Definitely recommend! They were yummy hot and cold.

Very laid back spot near the pier. You can tell it is a local favorite. Prices are so reasonable! Plus they have icecream! Give them a try!

I stopped by Zuzu's for ice cream on my way to the pier. It's a local fave that was recommended by many. Know that's it's an older establishment (and it shows signs of old age) that likely holds lots of fun memories. It has that local diner feel that made it a bit more fun for me. They had about a dozen choices of hand-dipped ice creams. I got butter pecan in a waffle cone and it was delicious! I didn't order food but the place was packed with people eating delicious looking meals (burgers, sandwiches, etc.)

Trio Salad | Scoop of homemade chicken salad, tuna salad and egg salad on our house salad with your choice of dressing
    Sharon M.

Recommend the Trio Salad which includes generous scoops of their homemade chicken salad, tuna salad and egg salad along with greens and choice of dressing. It could have used just a bit more greens in my opinion. Overall the salad was pretty good and didn't even need any dressing. The wings were good too! Location: Mallery Street just steps away from the pier.

Now this was a burger!!! So glad I made the stop. The lady at the counter was friendly and accommodating, food was made to orders. Will make sure to stop by every time I'm in SSI!

    Double Cheeseburger with Fries

We tried this spot for the very first time today. Our favorite, Sandcastle Cafe just next door, was a little full and had stopped the breakfast buffet. We had a 45 minute wait there so we went to Zuzu's. We were pleased they were able to accommodate us. They were short-staffed but served us beautifully. The waitress was very accommodating. They do charge automatic 18% gratuity for parties of 5 and up. Parking is ample outside along the pier. The food was delicious, cooked-to-order, and hot. I loved the double cheeseburger. It reminded me of the ones my Dad used to make when we were growing up. The ambience here is very diner/dive-like. They are not fancy, but the food is very good and fulfilling. I didn't see any desserts on the menu. Give them a shot on your next trip to St. Simon's.

    Cuban Sandwich with Onion Rings

If you don't care about hygiene, this is your spot... tables are sticky, seats have crumbs, and the cooks do not wear hairnets. We only came here for lunch because lines were longer at other restaurants. We ordered the Double Cheeseburger with Hand Cut Fries, the Cuban sandwich with Onion Rings, and Lemonade. The Lemonade was freshly squeezed and the Cuban sandwich was decent, but it came with only five semi-tasty, non-crispy Onion Rings. As for the Double Cheeseburger, the flavoring was good, but the patties were so thick that the juice spills out and turns the buns into a mushy mess. Taste overall was 4/5 for the burger. Experience was 3/5, mainly due to our waitress - she was super sweet!

I found this spot when we weee staying nearby and looking for some biscuits and gravy…read more We were quickly seated and started looking over the menu. There were some great options which made choosing difficult, but we tried the biscuits and gravy (go ahead - get 2 biscuits!) and the fried chicken and biscuit. Both were great! The sandwich wasn't huge so it was a perfect amount for breakfast. We sat inside - it's very cute - with a market and to go as well as the tables. Food comes up fast and is really reasonably priced! The chicken was perfectly fried - not greasy - and the hot honey was a nice touch (and thankfully, not too hot). Good bathrooms and lots of tasty looking items in the refrigerated cases (including various types of seafood to cook).

This is a combination restaurant, store, bakery and premade takeout place. Amazing…read more I came for a late breakfast/ lunch. I was seated right away and my order was taken quickly. I decided on a grits bowl . I was shocked at ghe size of the bowl when it was delivered a short while later. Huge is an understatement. The grits were well done, the bacon plentiful and lots of cheese. I could only finish about half of it. Really nice dish I will get again. There's not a lot of tables, and it would be hard for a large group but even if you have to wait for a table, it is worth the wait! I will return!
