Got there at 7:20 when it says it closes at 8. Asked to show me some shoes and 5 min later they tell me that they can't show me any shoes because they want to close and if we are not sure if we will try on the shoes they won't show them to us. First they don't respect the time and second they don't want to show us anything because they want to close. Bad customer service. read more

I have to say. That every single time I have been in zumiez in the past 7 yrs or more the staff is amazing. Someone ALWAYS greets me and my children. They are eager to help. Even during Covid, they helped us pick out a bathing suit for my daughter when other places did not. Whoever is in charge of hiring and training the staff does an outstanding job!!!!!!! read more

Justin went above and beyond for my family and I. Here's how this guy knocked it out of the park for me. I got my dad a watch as a gift and needed to get it resized before my wedding that weekend. It was the weekend of fiesta so most jewelers were closed and would stay closed all weekend. My dads watch needed to be resized and I was in a bind. I initially went to Nordstrom's, the retailer store famous for their customer service. To my surprise, the girl behind the counter at the watch/jewelry section gave us the boot and would not resize the watch because I didn't not have a proof of purchase from them. Mind you this was a $600 Nixon, not some cheap made in china Folex. I was in a bind and needed to get it done ASAP. On a whim ( and out of sheer desperation) I brought it to Zumiez and Justin took care of us, no questions asked with an awesome attitude. He sized the watch and made sure it fit my dad perfectly. Who would have thought a skate board/street gear clothing shop would have done what the might Nordstrom's could not. Major respect and props to you, Justin and a big thanks to Jumiez. read more

If you think about getting a skateboard here please do not. I was unfortunate enough to do so and regret it very much. They have almost no quality boards, or grip, only ones that fit their "aesthetic". If you do find something that you like than DO NOT let them grip your board. I had my board gripped by an employee and not only did they put the grip tape backwards but they left air bubbles in multiple places and did not sand down the grip which started to peel off. Please go to lighthouse skate shop to get your skateboards or skate related items. read more

I usually buy my son's shoes at Nordstrom but decided to give Zumiez a try. Big mistake! I tried to return the shoes a day later as he wore them for about an hour and they gave him a blister. Zumiez would not take back the shoes since they had been worn. I will never buy from this store again. Nordstrom accepts returns without any questions. read more

Handed cashier (manager) extra hundred on accident, while getting change . I went back after I left, when I realized. I was told they couldn't tell me until they close at 9 to count the register, so I should come back. I gave them my contact info and I came back at 9. The manager told me to wait and come back when he calls me, whenever they are done working. I waited for an hour without any call. I went back at 10 and the manager told me he already counted the register and "they were only 16 dollars over." I am certain I gave him an extra hundred and I challenge the regional manager to check the camera footage. The money was on the counter. I never once accused the manager of stealing however , I know for a fact I gave him an extra hundred. I was at the store around 5:30, Monday the 21st of August. I tried to call back the next day to contact the regional manager but was told I couldn't contact them. Hope to hear back from someone through this post, If not at least I tried. read more

The worst customer service ever! My sister bought a board online and it said that the Santa Barbara store had it so she waited for the confirmation for pick up.. When they hadn't sent it I called the store for her and the girl who answered said she had been looking for it all morning and she couldn't find it but it might arrive in the afternoon but if not, she would check other stores if they had it and would call me about it. Three days passed and we still hadn't received a call from the Santa Barbara store so I called back and a guy picked up this time and he said exactly what the girl had said a couple of days ago. We got frustrated and checked ourselves if there was a store that had it, and guess what the one in Ventura had one left! We called Ventura to confirm if they had it and we told them the experience we came across, luckily they said yes they had it and all we had to do was call the Zumiez in Santa Barbara to transfer my sisters order to their store. It was that simple and the employees at The Santa Barbara location could have done that instead of leaving us clueless and waiting. Annoying enough when we went to the Ventura store after getting the confirmation email for pick up the employee there said he couldn't find it! He told us we could wait until noon for the shipments to come in unless we wanted to talk to the manager. We said yes to talk to the manager, he went to get the manager but it looked like he was already explaining the situation and all the manager did was point near the register and that's where is was. Zumiez employees need better customer service training or they need to be aware. I don't know but that's the worst experience I've had from any store! The only good customer service came from the manager from Ventura who I talked to over the phone.. and I guess that is why they are manger. read more
