I asked him if he was okay. He said "I'm hanging in there, we don't have any A/C in the back room where I work". Completely shocked, my mouth just dropped. He proceeded to tell me that his manager forces them to bring in their own water and are able to "peek" their heads into the freezer aisle by the ice cream if they can't handle the heat. He indicates he's been working here for several months and they have never had A/C. It's 91 degrees outside, and I'm positive it's way hotter inside that building with no air flow. I asked for his union number as well as called Kroger customer support to report this information. I've been assured this is being looked into, and that this is the only store that apparently doesn't provide A/C to their employees who do pickup groceries. Swartz Creek Kroger on Miller rd, you should be absolutely ashamed.
