Important point to make though is that the restaurant is open based on occupancy at the hotel. So we had to call and the phone line is super confusing so have patients and it is option three that will get you to an operator who will give you answers. The entrance to the resort is right by the restaurant as long as you enter across the bridge or at the valet. You do not have to be a guest at the hotel as we were not. You have to walk though a gift shop but it is simple to find. The front cashier was super friendly and after paying $21 you get seated. The restaurant was relatively empty which is a surprise. The food is exceptional, very very good. I mean that, it was not the typical mass produced slop but each were in a skillet or pan; making me think that they were each cooked with care and individuality. The pot roast was to die for, tasted like carnitas almost but had a rich smokey flavor and fell off the spoon. It marked the fat that is often seen so I knew it was a good cut that was used. Mashed potatoes with gravy, these were divine, not buttery tasting but instead a rich cream taste that complimented it well with the beef gravy. Bang Bang pork tenderloin was sweet but whole tasting Broccoli was offered at the salad bar with dip, steamed, and steamed with cheese. The building has some type of history to it which I was unable to readily find online (boo, that is so odd). But the history is paid homage in the design of this space, with old timey photos of Sandusky and Cedar Point blown up on the walls and little stories to accompany them. The design is actually brilliant. It's a cool mixture of old school heritage meets modern rustic vibes. It makes you want to stop and look. The businesses in this building are open during the pandemic, just make sure to check with each business directly before visiting as most of the hours are likely changed. I stopped by here extremely quickly (I do not go out much during the pandemic) to pick up some pre-paid birthday treats from Bake Erie. It has a spacious, accessible parking lot and is just a joy to browse. Check it out for yourself, than continue exploring the surrounding area of local businesses... and Lake Erie :)
