I have a rather complex medical situation and they take the time to really take care of me. They do this with all their patients. They are caring and knowledgeable. The one thing thats worth making a note of is you can expect long wait times to see the doctors. This is because of the personalized attention they give to each and every patient. As long as youre expecting it, its not that bad. When it comes to doctors these are the best primary care physicians around. With hours Monday through Saturday, it is relatively easy to get an appointment if you are sick. They even have blood lab right in the building. I highly recommend Smithtown Medical Associates!

Most years I max out deductible and don't have to pay anything. My insurance company instructs not to pay at point of service. I pay the insurance company any uncovered fees. Like normal, they should have addressed this with the insurance company asking for a retro payment. It is their insurance filing problem, not mine. The office management was rude. My wife verified twice, in my presence, that starting Monday, March 9, 16th & 23rd she was scheduled for two knee injections each appointment. Upon arrival we were advised that we were "misinformed by the office staff." We were now to schedule SEVEN appointments with only one gel injection at a time. When we voiced a complaint about this being the SECOND time Arthritis Pain Centers had MISINFORMED us at a terrible traveling expense, the staff could care less. I have elected to FILE A NOTICE OF CLAIM vs Arthritis Pain Centers in 5th District Court or 1st District Court for ANY scheduling issues with us in the future. My colleagues who obtain their gel injections at Catholic Health Sports Medicine in Port Jefferson advise they have both knees in one visit and NEVER experienced any scheduling dysfunctions.
