This is such a wonderful restaurant when you drive by it's in a wonderful strip mall with lots of parking. I'm updating my review as the employees are amazing and very kind. They have gluten free options on the board selection which is great for people like me that have Celiac. So. Slow. For a place with pretty much everything pre heated/pre ready, it falls very short of being an option for quick food. Soup options sound enticing but always taste mediocre. On a rainy chilly day don't be fooled. It's never worth it. About once a year I try again and am reminded it's slow and not very good. read more

I've introduced my parents and my husband to Zoup. My mom doesn't eat red meat and is prone to eating vegetarian options, so she was thrilled at all the options. My husband on the other hand hates veggies and he was also able to find a sandwich to satisfy his hunger. I personally love that the soups rotate everyday. I've enjoyed the broccoli cheddar, the chicken pot pie, potato cheddar and fire roasted tomato. The cranberry almond Sonoma salad is delicious and I love the raspberry vinaigrette dressing. My husband loves the maple bacon ham sandwich but my favorite sandwich is the pesto 3 cheese. The workers are extremely helpful. My parents, my husband and I all wanted to sample some soup before deciding and the employee was patient with us and let us sample before ordering. Biggest downside is the price. Seems like you don't get much sandwich for the price and the soup is fairly high in price too. I do love this place and will continue to come here, but sparingly. read more

You'd think for how expensive their food is, it'd be top tier. It's just soggy sandwiches with little to nothing special about them with a soup for 30 dollars. Thankfully they also add rock hard bread on the side, cuz I'd hate to not have a piece of cement to wash down my water dipped sandwiches and 2 spoon full of soup. After all of this you're lucky to have anything left in your account for a drink, but if you got it like that, then treat yourself to a child size drink. It's a little unassuming from the outside (being in a strip mall and all), but the staff were very welcoming and were full of great suggestions for us. My family eat here last night. The staff was very friendly and I loved that they so many options. However, it was pretty pricey for what you get. We ordered a variety of different items between the five of us. The maple bacon sandwich was the hands-down favorite, followed by the salad with the cranberries and almonds. Our family was visiting the area and called in an order for pick up at 7pm for 7 sandwiches on Saturday evening. Assuming they would be able to complete the order in 30 minutes, we stopped by to pick up the order. To our surprise they only completed half the order in that timeframe and there were no customers in the store and there were no other to go orders (the two employees working confirmed). We waited another 20 minutes for a total of 50 minutes for 7 sandwiches on a non-busy hour. Beyond the wait time, the sandwiches were sparse on the meat/other toppings and bread was hard. Not much to say, but Zoup was pretty dang tasty! It's a standard soup, sandwich, and salad place. It's similar to a panera but more homey. The Staff was friendly and let me try a few soups before deciding what I ultimately wanted, which was nice. I'd recommend one of their bisques or a chicken fajita soup if they have it. The cookies were also delicious. The one downside to this place is that it is pricey for what you get. I thought it could have been a bit cheaper, or have some value combos. It's possible I was just broke when I went, so it seemed more expensive than it was ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. In any case, it's still a good option if you're looking for some good soup. read more

I am a drug rep so I get to stop at server all places in my travels.I have not been to this Zoup since the end of September 2016 and something has changed. The attitude of the staff is not sincere-they used to greet you-now I'm lucky if they make eye contact with you, the restrooms were dirty(the fan vent is dusty),and the table I sat at was sticky with crumbs on the booth seat. There was no genuine hello, no small talk, no thank you! I feel like all the small town charm this place had has disappeared since the last time I visited. It was like walking into a completely different restaurant and not a good one. One of the ladies working (she had glasses) was the only one hustling. The rest only had one pace and I think it was speed one. I worked in retail/restaurant in college I could see exactly what was going on. There was four staff behind the counter semi working and attending to customers while one sits in the back. Plus, the staff were more invested chatting about that instead of giving customer service to there paying customers. I literally sat there with my soup that looked watered down chicken pot pie (Thank goodness I asked for extra pie crust on the side to soak it up) and a laptop watching this all go on. Why? Because I could hear their personal struggles loud and clear from where I was sitting. My last review of this place was a 5 star and I am giving them a 1 star. Because I have seen them at a 5 star level and this was no 5 star level. I am adding on to my review----------- I just recently visited due to a work meeting that my colleague selected to meet at half way only to be disappointed again. I'm glad work paid for this meal because I would not of paid for such bad service and WATERED down soup. I stopped using them all together for catering orders last year. To start on a positive note, the staff at Zoup has always been friendly and helpful. After many visits, however, I don't know that I'll return unless it's just to be social and go with friends. Every soup I've tried is INCREDIBLY salty -- the last time my friend and I both had Mushroom Bisque and neither of us could finish it because the mushroom was so overwhelmed by the salt. As shown in their nutritional data, some of the 8 oz. servings have 1200 mg sodium! Hard to believe no other reviewer mentioned this. With all the little dietary designations (GF, LF, etc, etc, etc) I would expect there to be one for Low Sodium, since that concerns many people. On one visit, there was a piece of chicken bone mixed in with the salad. Would also like a choice of sides other than bread, bread or bread. I'm not a huge Panera fan, but at least you can get an apple or chips. read more

The prices are too expensive and the food isn't good enough to warrant such high prices. The soups lack flavor and are overlooked. The salads and sandwiches are run of the mill and don't justify the cost.
