We tried the foul (fava beans), fatteh, lahm b ajin, fried eggs with tomato. All were delicious and made to perfection. When we're done eating, the server offered us a dessert on the house. It included halawit el jibn and ousmalieh in addition to riz b halib and jello. The place is not that large but it can probably fit about 100 people. Fairouz songs were playing in the background bringing back memories of homeland. It was a great experience. Will definitely come back again to try other items on the menu.

Truly spectacular. Soujouk : Decent 3/5. Soujouk (or sujuk depending where you're from) is a dry, spicy sausage that I swear is always prepped different at every single restaurant that services it. Unfortunately, I wasn't overly fond with the version provided here, a bit too dry for my taste and the portion less than expected. Meat Plate : Good (3/5). We took a family plate which consisted of 1 stick of kafta, shish-taouk and filet mignon. The meats were good, I was especially fond of the filet mignon. The plate comes with a selection of salad or fries/rice. Service is friendly albeit a little standoffish. Good was prepared quickly and efficiently. The establishment is clean and well presented, our banquet table was comfortable. Overall the food is good, with some of my particular tastes showing clear bias in my opinion of them, some of the mezze plates are not as generous as they should be and this went in particular for the Soujouk which didn't fill out a full plate. I also regularly find plates of meat at Lebanese restaurants being quite overpriced. The meat plate which was close to $25 only held 3 sticks of meat and anyone knows we could get these at Adonis for about $2 to $3 dollars each. I would hope to see more generous portions in the meat plates but alas that challenges seems to be seen everywhere. Conclusion? Worthy of a taste, try it out and enjoy this cuisine.

They offer food by both a menu and per person formula, where you can pick a salad (tabbouleh or fattoush), two cold mezza, two hot mezza, 4 skewers of grilled meat of either filet mignon, chicken kafta, beef kafta, or shish taouk, and a dessert, all for two people for 60 Canadian dollars per person. You can pick any combination of skewers, cold mezza and hot mezza. Food came quickly. Everything was perfectly prepared, from the mezza to the grilled meat on charcoal, and finally the dessert. The Shish Taouk plate appealed to me and I upgraded the side salad to a fattouch and Lebanese potatoes. The portion I received was reasonable and we ended up waiting about 10 minutes for our meals to come to us. Our waiter was friendly and on point but I can't state if the service would this ideal if there were far more patrons to be serviced. I was very impressed with the quality of the food, the Shish Taouk was of high quality with the cuts of meat tender but at the same time the skin ends crunchy and flavorful. The fattouch was really good with just enough dressing to pull it off without killing it. The Lebanese potatoes were excellent. My only qualm would be the pricing, which would perhaps explain the lack of patrons during the lunch I ate here. It is moderately more expensive than the competition would serve. While it may be true Amir, Basha or Boustan may not serve in such a gorgeous environment, the same plate I received would probably have cost me about $11-12 at most elsewhere. I ended up paying close to $20. Perhaps the extras to get a fattouch salad and a small garlic dip increased the price I'd however state that the fattouch salad shouldn't cost anything extra and the fact I can't have a large garlic dip (which was excellent BTW - size was too small for my meal) to accompany my meal very disappointing. Simply put, to pay extra for garlic dip for Lebanese food would be about as fair as paying money to be provided with utensils to eat. There's no just cause for that and for that I'll subtract a star from the rating. I'm not a fan of the nickle and dime practice. If they'd make their price-point a little more manageable, it would serve them well. These extra aren't desirable and it's obvious to see when their lunch rush don't even and up to 10 patrons in a place that can serve over a hundred. The quality of food simply here doesn't meet the flow of patrons coming in. Especially when across the street you find Juliette & Chocolate with a line-up that extends to outside in the dead of winter for AT BEST, mediocre desserts.
