Visited June 19, 2020 at 5:00 p.m. Mediocre food. More of a self-service concept than I expected. First visit while staying at a nearby resort. I called ahead of time to ask if they were wearing masks and distancing tables. The person on the phone assured me that they were and reservations were not required. Even though we planned to sit outside, I was surprised to see a very crowded restaurant and no customers wearing masks. There were at least 200 people there and nobody was wearing a mask except employees. Customers didn't care about distancing either. At least for the upper deck, ordering takes place inside the bar. Employees often had their masks off while behind the bar and would put them on when a customer approached. I had to retrieve menus inside and was handed a reusable laminated menu. Had to sign my credit card receipt with a pen that was handed to me. I was told on the phone that tables were spaced six feet apart. They are, but the seating is closer. Cigarette smoke wafted everywhere. I didn't realize until we left, that the area under our table was wet and I had set my purse in a puddle. There was a garden hose nearby, which must have been leaking. I had chosen that table only because it was further from the others and on the end of the deck. **GM WAS DRUNK ON JOB AND COULDN'T HELP ME** I had a nice dinner, but I forgot to pay my tab. This was last Saturday and I was waiting for my ride when I remembered I needed to pay out and when I walked in their bouncer was extremely rude to me and very offensive. When I asked someone to speak to the GM about it they said she was drinking and wasn't going to be able to talk to me or help me. Good food! But for a place that feels like a real local I'd joint, I'd stick to Iron Horse or Bullwinkle's.

I like this place ok, I'm always up for mexican. And in this part of the greater Brainerd area, it's one of a handful of places we hit up while in town. Prices seem reasonable, and service is decent. read more

Stopped at the "Minnesota Famous" Zorbas for the first time tonight. Just wanted to grab a cold beer and check it out. Have you ever paid for your drinks and had the bartender say, "Whatever?" Yeah. Me neither. And the group next to us had a similar experience with a different bartender. Maybe they have good food, and maybe we got the worst they have to offer. read more

This is THE place on the lake. Food was great, served hot and arrived in a timely manner. Several lakeside restaurant docks were near empty, due to past poor service. Won't find that at Zorbaz. read more

Let me say that I am a big fan of the Zorbaz chain as a whole. My families experience this past weekend was enough for me never to go back to the Gull Lake location. We ordered our food at 1:00. At 1:45 I inquired what was taking so long. After a moment we were told our order was misplaced. They never really apologized and didn't offer to comp anything. When the order did arrive some was burnt and some was luke warm. The single pop machine was malfunctioning so most of their selections didn't work correctly. I realize they have a built in business and are usually very busy during the summer but that doesn't mean they have to treat their customers so badly. I will stick the Crosslake location from this point on. read more

We arrived on a Friday morning, before they were open. They gladly served us and we went down to the patio where it was absolutely beautiful. the employees were very rude to me, i asked the dj if he could switch up the music to maybe some hip hop or something other than country music... i even asked for fleetwood mac cause older people like them too right ? well he was extremely rude to me and said no i'm not playing ur type of music. said you're too young NO. Don't recommend this place unless ur an old creepy man who is bored the dj (who lookks like he is a high schooler )and other employee continued to stare at me with mean looks. trash dudes his name is koonz. also dude let me in after it was 21 plus so ??? dude should be fired for letting me in anyway ‍ my fam tipped well before this all happened. and when i talked to the manager to tell them what happened the women was very very nice to me but ANOTHER random dude behind bar told me that i can't handle being told no and he didn't believe me and pretty much flamed me in front of everyone and made me look stupid crying. like who says that to a paying customer.... and after he told customers who's were trying to talk to me that i was underage and telling my business which is also so disrespectful. i felt like the whole bar was staring at me while i walked out laughing . I'm not going to lie to you, at first, I thought it was called Zubaz, and I was pumped as Hell. When I found out it was a restaurant, I was pissed. But when I walked in to find free popcorn, delightful decor, and a menu that ends every food item in the letter "Z", well, I'm not made of stone. This place is like disneyland to the hungry drinker who wants to both enjoy a blue slushie alcoholic beverage without feelin like a chick, but also catch the sports game on tv and be one of the guys. Really fun in the summer when you can bring the whole crew via boat for some nachoz.... I kinda wish they had funnel cakez though. read more

This is the worst place to visit on the gull lake chain. There are no servers. You have to get your own drinks, and go order your food too. Not handicap accessible! The bathrooms are disgusting, they smell like a sewer. Avoid at all costs!!! The owner Lee J is very unfriendly and has been heard cursing in front of customers. Just go to Bar harbor, Ernie's or Quarterdeck for a much better experience. They may be more costly, but well worth it! read more

Late Thursday Feb 17 ~1100pm. Ordered a non cheeze pizza and a beef Quesadilla. The pizza was devoid of sauce, I mean the dough was just pink it was just missing. The beef was dripping with fat to the point of saturating the cardboard and dripping, it was not palitable.There is inconsistent quality that Zorbaz on the lake has. When it's good it's really good, but not alway so, it shouldn"t depend on who's cooking. read more

As always, the food and atmosphere were great! Have been coming to Zorbaz for over 20 years and it still doesn't disappoint. The Macho Nachos are a must try, but order the half order if only one or two are eating. The pizzas are always good and my husband loves the Colorado burrito. I've order pizza here a couple times, and they made it pretty quick. This place is a little expensive, but the food seems to be quality ingredients, so I'd say that's OK. If you're looking for pizza, I recommend the, "Hot Hog". read more
