They came late at night and fixed my main line blockage in no time. Okeno was a professional and wore booties.

I'd like to give a tremendous shout out to both Ashley and Mark. Let's start with Ashley...I…read morecalled at 9pm last night about an emergency in my restaurant thinking I would just leave a voicemail...somehow the call reached her. She was calm, listened, and put my anxious mind at ease. Then...after promising she would call me first thing in the morning...she did just that! Amazing service from the first voice/point of contact. Then Mark arrives first thing in the morning and was so knowledgeable. I'm pretty sure he could feel and see the anxiety stricken state I was in. He kept calm and guided me thru what his plan was for both a short term and an eventual long term solution for what I'm experiencing here. I'm only leaving a review here on Yelp because I've given them amazing reviews literally everywhere else possible. Thank you AGAIN john the plumber - you guys are very special and appreciated.

I needed my hybrid water heater replaced. I got an initial estimate from another plumber who…read morecharged me just to come look and quote the job. I called a second plumber to get a comparison quote and they too were wanting to charge me just to look and quote. Then I called John The Plumber. To my surprise, they didn't charge to come out and quote the job. Setting up the appointment was very easy and they sent their tech the very next day. Mike was my tech and he called ahead to say he was enroute, he arrived on time, even asked where I prefer that he park. His truck was modern and clean. He was friendly and very professional. He inspected my old unit and gave me a quote, he answered my questions, and he was able to even beat the other plumber's quote. Amazingly, he uninstalled my old unit and installed the new one that same day. He did a superb job, it took as long as he said it would take, he wore shoe covers when he came in the house, he cleaned up after himself, he then explained everything he did and why he did it that way (including some re-piping he had to do), and he gave me a very thorough tutorial on how to operate the new unit. The workmanship itself looks great--it looks very neat. Mike is the GOLD STANDARD. Thank you, Mike, and John The Plumber!

Yes, Amy's Plumbing, repeatedly!…read more Clear communication, rapid responsiveness, superb service. HIGH QUALITY. She's done that before, and this time the job was also to repair someone else's shoddy "work," including an old electrical installation. Amy to the rescue, including a referral to a superb electrician who, like Amy, communicated clearly and rapidly. She's an artisan of her craft, and very much appreciated for it.

Extremely disappointing experience. I had been using Amy's Plumbing for a while -- they were always…read moreexpensive, but at least upfront with pricing and the work was done as promised. Unfortunately, the most recent job showed a complete change in their ethics and customer care. I called them to fix a leaking bathtub faucet in my guest bathroom. I was presented with two options: * $850 for a 3-handle replacement but requiring a hole in the wall, and * $1,150 for a 1-handle replacement with a clear promise that no hole in the wall would be needed. I agreed to the more expensive option specifically because they guaranteed no wall damage. While I was off the premises, Amy called insisting the plumber needed to be paid immediately before leaving. I paid. When I got home, I found a large hole in the wall in my master bedroom -- the exact thing they promised would not happen. I called Amy right away. Instead of owning the mistake, she blamed "miscommunication," said the plumber should have called me, and then started gaslighting me by claiming the job was "more expensive" and that I should be grateful that they kept the "old price." Absolutely absurd -- especially considering the already outrageous cost. I offered two reasonable solutions: * reduce the cost to the $850 option (the one that did require a hole), or * fix the wall they damaged. She refused both and showed zero interest in resolving the issue. Key points future customers should know: Pricing has become outrageous; greed has replaced fairness. They do not uphold their agreements -- even written or verbal commitments mean nothing here. Customer care is nonexistent. It feels like they have enough clients and simply don't care about losing anyone. If you're looking for an honest, reliable, and ethical plumbing company, this is not it. I never leave reviews like this, but the level of dishonesty and disrespect I experienced deserves to be public. UPDATE / CLARIFICATION: The owner posted a response that unfortunately does not match what actually happened, so I want to clarify a few key facts for anyone reading this. I was originally given two options for replacing my leaking tub faucet: $850 for a 3-handle valve, with a hole in the back wall. $1,150 for a single-handle upgraded valve, with a clear promise that no hole in the wall would be needed. I chose the more expensive option solely because I was told it would avoid cutting into the bedroom wall. However, when I came home, the wall was cut open anyway, and the tiles in the bathroom were also disturbed. I never received a call, no one asked permission, and no one sent photos before opening the wall. The work was done without any notice. The owner now claims that: the tiles "were not disturbed" (they were), I approved additional work because of corrosion (I was never contacted), and that "no one promised the wall wouldn't be opened" (the entire reason for choosing the $1,150 option was exactly that promise). These statements contradict what was discussed before the job started and what I saw afterward. I asked for a fair resolution -- either: * adjust the price to the $850 option, since that's effectively the method they ended up using, or * repair the wall they opened without authorization. Both were refused. I had used this company before when their pricing was high but transparent. This last experience showed a complete change: the price increased into unreasonable territory, the agreement wasn't honored, and decisions were made without my approval, followed by a response that tried to reframe the situation instead of addressing the issue. I stand by my original review. If you value straightforward communication, predictable pricing, and respect for your home, please be cautious here.

I had other plumbing issues today, and they came so fast!…read more Leo (owner) goes beyond with the "hands-on" fix, as I know most people replace, and he shows you the right way to ensure your plumbing is functioning properly. I have to brag about the "family run business" that is all hands on! His wife, Lori, is on all his service appt. calls and updates you on the return visits! I used them this year a few times now! Called them again and they came right away!!! They are always a good choice!!! I have called them over the past year and found the owner to be hands-on and very professional in dealing with my plumbing issues. They care about your issue and come the same day! They are local, and the owner is hands-on with all service calls! I am so glad someone suggested this to me, and I hope to share this with others. Use local people who are aware of many parts of repair, and do not sell you something!! I used them last year---This was a sudden Sunday Night water pouring into my wall from a wash sink. The company came highly recommended, and I was calling to leave a message at 10 PM on Sunday. They called and immediately went into a repair plan. I was so happy to see that repairs were no damage to the walls and were fixable in 3 hours with all new parts! They called several times to explain the process, and then two plumbers worked on this fast and furious... I am a realtor and will recommend them!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fair warning I met Leo from My Own Plumbing Company last…read moreJune and explained that I wanted to install a separate irrigation meter and new water line to my home in Fort Lauderdale. He explained the permitting process and we agreed on price. He seemed like a competent guy so I came away from this interaction feeling confident that he could perform the work and the job would go well.  He said he would send my info to his assistant Lori (wife) and we would begin the process.  After a couple weeks when I didn't hear from her, I called and her VM was full. Not a good sign. She did send me a screenshot of the water line permit application on LauderBuild (Ft Lauderdale's permit portal) from July but that was it.  On Aug 18 (over a month later) I called and texted her again requesting status. She responded by saying that My Own Plumbing would be starting the work in 2 weeks. I waited THREE weeks after that before I called and texted her AGAIN. At this point, I also called Leo twice but he never picked up. A week later on Sept 15, Lori texted and said "she would see about getting me on the schedule next week".  On Oct 6, Leo called me and apologized profusely for the delay but couldn't answer any questions about why this was happening. He promised that he would focus on my project and get back to me the following day, so I agreed to give them another chance. WRONG MOVE!!! He ghosted me again and then texted me a week later on Oct 13 telling me that Lori is "handling" it. At this point, I texted them both and said I wouldn't be requiring their services. Lori replied that "everything has been uploaded and I should give them another chance."  I did a quick check of LauderBuild again today 10/23 and see that NOTHING has changed. The system still shows the initial permit app submittal from back in July and requesting missing plans.  I don't know what's up with these people.  Why Lori said they were starting work on two separate occasions last summer when they hadn't even gotten the permits. Maybe they are unfamiliar with permitting in the City of Fort Lauderdale? I prefer honesty and someone saying they dropped the ball rather than outright lying about starting work. I wasted 4 months. It's a shame, seemed like nice people, but using this company is definitely not worth the hassle.
