I decided to use this business as it was local to my business. The woman in charge seemed very nice and actually turned out to be the former mayor of the area. I thought to myself wow I scored this women is going to do a good job on my vehicle. Sadly I was mistaken. 2015 gl350 with only one scratch on vehicle , the one it was brought in to repair-in essence a brand new vehicle. The scratch which I put on the vehicle in my own yard by rubbing a very frail pool fence, went across the plastic bumper trim the chrome trim and into the white painted part of bumper. I purchased the grey plastic trim and the chrome trim as I was going to just replace those pieces and call it a day. Being this was my wife's vehicle that I damaged I felt bad and decided to have the minimal 3 inch scratch in the painted part as well. Here's where this business was going to step in and make me look like a hero.
Instead of removing and cleaning bumper before the repair, they cleaned and repaired on the damaged area.....not cleaning entire bumper. Apparently after the repair they then sprayed clear coating to blend the bumper.....and apparently inadvertently clear coating dirt stains that they didn't bother cleaning off and now clear coating them onto the bumper. Awesome! When I pointed it out they said we didn't do that but they took in the back and tried to compound it out. Still noticeable I was given the vehicle back and said they would redo bumper if my wife wasn't happy. She wasn't. But upon reinspection at home I noticed the gaps were a little off on the 2 new pieces I had provided. Upon further inspection I realized for some reason the chrome trim was superglued to the white painted part of the bumper. Infuriated I returned and asked why was this like this? I knew the answer already but the manager of the shop said she didn't know and that I'd have to come back after the holiday to gave her top guy look at the the truck. Really....this is how we do business? Inexperience or a rush job broke the clips trying to reinstall all the parts withought doing the job correctly by removing bumper cleaning it so the first problem didn't happen.....and then the second problem of breaking clips wouldn't have happened either
Pretty crappy repair, pretty crappy management of said repair......and although I'm beyond upset with repair I cannot risk the potential further damage of a return to this shop.
I like to find businesses I can rely on and use them for everything. I won't be returning here especially with another expensive vehicle. As luck would have it road debris just damaged my 2017 X5M......would have been nice to be able to rely on a local business. read more
