I brought three cars here and had nothing but problems with all of them. For one vehicle, they replaced a door but never installed the door check, so the door wouldn't stay open. At first they tried to tell us we'd have to buy the part ourselves and take it to the dealership, even though we already paid them thousands for the job. After going back multiple times, they finally admitted they knew the part was missing the whole time and said it was on back order until November. If they knew, why give the car back incomplete and deny it until we pushed them? Another shop was able to get the part in just one day, so clearly it wasn't impossible. The second car was supposed to have front-end damage repaired, but they gave it back with a dent still there and acted like they didn't notice. Then they told us we'd have to wait months for someone else to fix it. On top of that, we also had brake work done on an AMG package car -- we specifically told them upfront it had larger AMG rotors, they said they understood, quoted us, then later claimed they "didn't know" and acted like they made no money on the job. The whole time, the guy John was rude, made inappropriate comments, and behaved like he was doing us a favor by taking our money. Both cars were left incomplete, and the experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else -- we did, and the other shop fixed things right away. read more

An Uber driver ran into me and so guess what needs to happen next...well repair right!? I have close friends that are classic car lovers or shall I just say car lovers in general that referred me to this lovely shop! Man they were a pleasure from the start! Called and was told to come on in to get a quote from them looking at the damage. They were fast and made the process easy. The guy that hit me initially wanted to pay out of pocket but then ghosted me...but the go ole law and insurance was able to find him and this shop took care of my car after everything was situated! The front desk guy John is a true pleasure! So is JP! He kept me abreast of everything going in from the start. Due to covid some of the parts they needed took a while but I was in no rush since I wanted it done correctly. When I received my car back, they had detailed it and it looked completely brand new!! You would have never knew that anything even happened. Truly all in all I will recommend anyone to come here if you want a quality job done!! I dropped my car off on a Monday and the car was finished as promised on Wednesday. John and his staff did a fantastic job with a minor scratch that I had on my car. The paint job was phenomenal and surprisingly they also washed and cleaned the interior of my car. The price that was quoted was also very fair. Save your time and money and go elsewhere. At first everyone is so nice and making promises to work with you. We left the car at there shop since this was the location it was towed to. After keeping my husbands car for over 3 months and only because I would constantly call to check in if not the car would probably still be there getting repaired. They collected about 14k from the insurance issues still came after costing us an additional 3000 out of pocket expense on things that should have been fixed when the car was with them. When we would call to let them know the issues that we were having it was always a call me back on this day or that day. Never a resolution to the problems that should have been done with the original repairs. I would definitely NOT recommend this place of business to anyone. It was a nightmare that continued even after they gave us the car back and not in the condition it was expected to be given. Run and take your business elsewhere!!! I couldn't possibly imagine a better experience than I had with everyone at Frame Auto Collision. I contacted JP on a friend's recommendation, and I couldn't be happier with the work that was done on my vehicle. JP promptly came to pick up and tow my car after my accident, and assured me that he would be able to take care of it. My nearly 10 year old Nissan Altima was repaired well, and completely detailed on the inside. You couldn't even tell that it had been in an accident; the guys at Frame also took the care to buff out any scratches and fix any minor dents unrelated to the accident that my vehicle acquired over the course of it's lifetime. One of my headlights had to be replaced, but they also buffed and cleaned the other foggy headlight. Not only does my car drive perfectly, but it looks nearly as good as it did when I drove it off of the dealer lot in 2005. The inside is SPOTLESS and looks better than it has in years. I am incredibly satisfied and beyond impressed with the work that was done at Frame. I have no idea where the negative reviews about this place have come from, because I dealt with nothing but honest, detail oriented, fair guys who obviously take pride in their work. They were even able to make me another spare key for my car with no problem. I've had two different cars repaired here - first an Acura TL with extensive hail damage and most recently a Jaguar XF with some rock chips. I was nervous because both cars had silver metallic paint, which is notoriously difficult to match. I was blown away by the color match! I have a fairly discriminate eye and I cannot detect any evidence of the repair. JP was a pleasure to work with, gave me a fair price and turned the car around in 24 hours. I was referred to them by a family friend when I was having trouble with my cars coils. I thought they did a fantastic job and to my knowledge charged me a fair price so I decided to bring my car to them again two weeks later when my ABS light came on. I trusted them so I didn't ask questions in regards to a price ahead of time which is extremely unlike me, but again I fully trusted them after being referred. I picked my car up today and they charged me $275 to change my ABS light. The guy on the phone wanted to charge me $300 when his friend called but he knew I overheard the whole conversation so he only charged me $275. I overheard him say the part was $130, I found it at auto-zone ranging between $20-$80. I called over to Mavis just to see what they charge to switch the part out of curiosity and they said $60. Mavis said it should not cost me anymore than $130 all together (that price quote included the new sensor and swap out) and that was him over quoting me. When I tell you I'm mind blown that they chose to rip me off by $145, I truly am. I really thought these guys were great in the beginning and was even going to bring them an autobody job that I need done on my car that would have put an easy $1,500 in their pocket, which I mentioned to one of the guys when I came in originally to discuss my ABS sensor. Looks like I'll be bringing my business elsewhere from now on, total shame. read more

I brought my car here for repair and these guys will take ur car parts and change it with something broken Before I brought my car here my side mirror was very clear and didn't have any light reflections when driving at night when I got the car back my driver side mirror was very blurry I thought it was just dirty but when I drove my car at night i could hardly see anything and the light of the car that's behind me will be reflected from my driver side mirror to my driver side window which makes it very hard to see since the light is always shinning in ur eyes when u look at the mirror now I have to pay more money to change my side mirror Go here if u want but u been warn they will change ur parts and think you won't notice!! read more

After they get their money, they don't care!!! I dropped off my car in March after being referred to him from my car detailer. Service was great, they worked with my deductible and agreed to pay my car detailer to detail the car after the repair was complete considering the referral. I got the car back and the problems started from there: Upon receiving the car I noticed a day later one of the lug nuts was missing so I called, spoke to Joyce who mentioned I also left my house key at the office. She apologized about the lug nut said she will mail it to me along with the key. After a month went buy and realizing I never received anything in the mail I called again, spoke to Joyce and she apologized again saying she totally forgot and would send it out, no package. A few weeks later called again said she had a root canal and things were busy she'll get to it soon. Now we are in September, I called again, said she would mail it out, asked me to send her a photo of the lug nut and will send both items out. I received the key but no lug nut. By this point we're now in October, she asked me to send her a photo again and she'll send it out...you can guess the outcome. Shortly after this I found out Frame Collision never paid my detailer after multiple attempts of my detailer to collect payment for the detail. At this point I called and spoke to John, who I believe is the shop manager to explained to him the situation and said he has no idea why Joyce wouldn't have mailed out the lug nut. He then took down my address and said will have someone drive to my house and drop it off...no one came. I spoke to JP the owner of the shop, explained to him this entire story, he apologized said he will take care of it. I asked him about payment for the detail, expressed that the detailer called and got not where. JP said to have them call the office and he will arrange payment for them directly. The detailer hasn't received payment nor have I gotten my lug nut. I left a message right before the holidays, still haven't gotten a call back. read more

These guys are the best in the business. I was in a bad car accident and my truck was badly damaged. Frame collision were so professional and prompt and fixed my truck so it I is now even better than it ever was. Excellent service and excellent work. I had made a few scratches shoveling snow (oops) and it was not in the area of the collision at all. I noticed that they took it upon themselves to get rid of thOse scratches too. I consider myself a fair person. At the same time, I must write this review to reflect the negative experience I had with Frame Auto in New Hyde Park. I have to start off by saying they have incompetent mechanics and automobile technicians. My car was painted so poorly that I couldn't believe that they were licensed to do this kind of work (that's if they even have a license). When repainting a vehicle, you are supposed to remove badges, emblems, glass, lights, door handles etc. It seems like these guys chose to spray around many of these parts rather than do what's considered normal practice. For example, the back glass of my vehicle had paint all around the perimeter (meaning they didn't remove the glass to spray the roof and rear side columns). Not only was it painted poorly, the roof paint started peeling on the edges only 5 weeks after the paint job was "complete." On top of that, they sprayed right over the vinyl molding on the roof because they couldn't bother to remove it. It looks terrible and it is completely unacceptable. They also had problems installing a replacement hood. If it wasn't one side of the hood being too high, it was uneven lines and edges. The installment was rushed and you could tell right away the hood wasn't installed properly. They even managed to damage the hood lift hinges because they opened and closed the hood so much times trying to adjust it. As basic as installing a hood should be, they simply couldn't get it right. Maybe this is because they tried to short change me and give me an aftermarket hood when my insurance company paid for an OEM replacement. If that wasn't bad enough, even the customer service is lackluster. The lady's name is Diana. She is nice and tries to do the best she can, but she is simply overloaded with work. If you give her a message, William and/or J.P. NEVER call back. In fact, no one calls you back. They only call you when they want the check from your insurance company. You have to constantly call and chase them just to get someone on the phone. It's almost a miracle that they are still in business. I literally had to go to the shop over 20 times to nag and complain about the poor job they did. They tried to fix some of the things I complained about. But then, they would screw something else up. They even left me with 2 flat tires (because they keep most of the "to be repaired" cars on the side walk). The original turnaround time was 3 weeks. To make matters worse, when I brought it back for them to repaint, it took another 2 weeks. You are talking 5 weeks without having a vehicle. At one point I got so fed up I refused to deal with them. I wouldn't let them touch my car even if they offered to do the whole thing over for free. I had wasted enough time. I decided to take my car somewhere else and fix it. I'm writing this review so that I can help prevent someone else from doing business with this greedy shop that seems to take on more jobs than they can handle. I would hate to see someone go through what I went through. AVOID FRAME AUTO AT ALL COSTS!!! read more

Unfortunately you have to leave at least one star, because this place doesn't even deserve that. After dropping off my vehicle on August 8th, and being told that it would be ready in roughly two weeks, it was nearly 4 WEEKS LATER!! On top of the horrible timing of these sub-par mechanics, they didn't even do the job that they had promised to do. They were supposed to fix both interior and exterior parts, and the inside of the car was never touched. The car was returned in as filthy a manner as which the employees treat their customers. I brought these hacks a job that ended up being worth over $7000, and needless to say, the "finished product" doesn't justify the price tag. Furthermore, trying to get one of these guys on the phone is impossible, and if you expect a call back, forget it. Now here is the final cherry on top: My father was kind enough to go pick up my car since I had to be at work all day, and they preceded to talk badly about me and treat him as if he was an inconvenience to them by showing him complete disrespect. I am in the service industry, and if i treated people like this, I'd starve. I really wish I didn't have to waste time writing this, and this is the first time I've posted a review, but if I can stop just one person from taking their business to these frauds, than I will have done my job. Oh and before I forget, these wannabe Mafioso thugs only accept cash...so don't bother going with a credit card or check....but please, just don't go!!!! read more

Was involved in an accident June 25, 2015. Called John from Bumper 2 Bumper to get vehicle towed from Cross Island Parkway to Bumper 2 Bumper previously located on Denton Avenue in New Hyde Park about a block away from Frame Auto Collision. Frame Auto Collision Tow Truck came and picked up my 2014 Nissan Maxima (lease), and was brought Frame Auto Collision located on Denton Avenue. Was met by John who said he sold his shop & was new part owner of Frame Auto Collision. I have used John before for previous repairs but none that were this extensive, more of cosmetic damage.. Was told the car could definitely be ready within 2 weeks as that was rental vehicle allowance time frame. Was in touch with John via text message for 40 something days, constantly being told that the vehicle was going to be painted and assembled. Finally went into the shop & told them that if I could not pick up by that night that I would show up with a police officer to have vehicle removed as air bags were still blown out of the dashboard, windshield was still blown, and car was disassembled where accident occurred. I got a call later that night at approximately 10pm stating that the vehicle was ready and I could come pick it up (thanks to JP getting involved). Upon pickup saw & noticed some issues that I had with the repair. Ex: missing carpet patch - wires exposed, exacto knife dashboard cut out, different color headlights - apparent accident, wheel alignment, etc. Brought back and vehicle was kept all Saturday to get a call 5 hours later that nothing besides the carpet patch was able to be fixed. Brought vehicle to NISSAN & another auto body shop where pictures were taken to show issues with work - making issues with safety and driving vehicle. Long story short, vehicle was repaired with BONDO & POPSICLE STICKS. When I brought the vehicle back, I was given excuses for some of the pictures & no response but a head shake to others. I had also asked (previously working in an auto body shop) why there had been AFTERMARKET - NON-OEM parts on the vehicle as I had specified that the vehicle was a brand new lease and needed to be all certified Nissan parts for return purposes. I was told that insurance companies only write for reconditioned parts. When I had responded with calling State Farm, they told me "Oh, State Farm is one of the only insurance companies that write for brand new parts".. bringing me back to my original question of why there were aftermarket parts on my vehicle.. I was asked when I could bring the car back so that they could fix it which I was obviously uncomfortable with since they let me drive around with the vehicle like that originally hoping I would not notice the imperfections. I brought the car back the following week and was told it would take at least a week as the WHOLE job had to be redone. Was in touch with the shop for 3 weeks until I went to the shop to pickup the vehicle without the oil change, wheel alignment, and bulb color being changed but took vehicle anyways because it had been 4 months on and off that I am making a car payment on a vehicle which I didn't have. Older receptionist was EXTREMELY UNPLEASANT & NASTY as if I was inconveniencing her by giving her business! At pickup, she had come outside after going over the car with me when I pointed out some of the issues & said "Now what?!" On a positive note: Yes, they picked up my rental for the second repair BUT, there should not have been a second repair. Not a good first impression for Frame Auto Collision to make to a new customer. read more
