My mechanic of 30 years retired last year and I thought I found a replacement in Nick but less than 10 months later that turned out to be a definitive NO! If you expect your car to be repaired on any kind of a schedule then Nick is NOT the guy. Multiple times now I have brought my cars to Nick on the scheduled day (planned out a week in advance) and he doesn't even get to it. It sits there all day and Nick wastes my time. What is the point of scheduling if my car is going to sit there untouched for days/weeks? And he doesn't even call to tell you anything. Then I took to calling him or dropping in and he acts bothered and too busy to deal with me. He started giving me snide remarks when I would show up like "Oh you again!" or "Get a new car!" or "Go away!" Seriously??? How about DOING YOUR JOB IN A SOMEWHAT TIMELY FASHION??? and not putting your customers down. When it snowed and my car never got looked at I showed up a week later and my car was still buried. I took a shovel and had to dig it out myself to compel him to get to my car. During the last transaction where he once again did not complete the job, and I only found out by following up with him, I told him that he is not trustworthy and his reply was "Now you're getting me mad, I've built my reputation on trust". My response was "Well I'm already mad, join the club. Your work can be trusted but your reliability and word for when you will get to the work cannot be trusted AT ALL". Just look around his lot when you get there: complete chaos, cars everywhere, total disorganization... believe your eyes and take your business elsewhere. read more

a few days back I took my card to Jericho Automotive just to check the tyre pressure , as noticed the tyre pressure sign on the dash board. Nick, the owner of this business gladly checked all the tyres and corrected the pressure on all the tyres immediately. I offered him the service charge, but he said no. I had previous dealings with him and always found helping and accommodative. His helping mentality towards others is the best part of his business. read more

Nick and his crew are awesome. They always take the customer seriously and take care of whatever is the issue. Sometimes the issue is not noticeable and Nick will find it. They never upcharge the customer and you only pay for labor and parts. Recently after an oil change and checking the tires pressure was done (about a month ago) my car was fine for about two days and then the rest of the time it has been making horrible sounds, like a wind-up-toy. I feel as though the brakes are worse and harder to stop my car with, and the tire pressure symbol hasn't disappeared (gone off) since the last two (2) time I brought it in for service. I'm disappointed with the noise change from squeaky to "errrrrrrr" but at the same time, I know he'll look into it and get back to me. I've given in my car keys today, and hopefully I'll have more positive news to add on to this review. For all former times of service, he and his crew are always honest, take care of the situation, inform me of any reasons why things are happening. For example the reason my tire pressure symbol hasn't disappeared though the tire pressure is fine, is because two (2) of the pressure sensors are not working. Instead of him installing new ones and charging me more Nick gave me the option to not install new ones because he knows I'm also in the market for a new car and these little gadgets aren't cheap! ($92.00 each) One time there was a strange sound and it disappeared when he cleaned out the air filter. There was so much fluff in it, looked like I could fill a small 6"x6" pillow with that! He'll let me know if he's too busy to service my car when I bring it by and will tell me when to bring it by if it will be a few days. Sometimes if I don't need my car any time soon, I'll leave my keys with him and he'll check it out when he has a moment. Nick mentioned to me once that he only services typical cars - nothing fancy because the parts are harder to get, .... yet sometimes I see fancier cars on site waiting to be worked on. Not sure if that has changed. All in all except for the one recent time, I've never been displeased with Nick, his team, the service, and the expense. Happy fixes! read more

Nick and the guys at Jericho Automotive are HONEST, friendly, fast and professional. Your car is done when they say it will done. I have NEVER gotten that feeling that they "just happened to find" something else wrong with your car that costs an extra $1000 and nothing else has ever "just happened" to breakdown two days after having work done. This repair shop was formely doing business on Glen Cove rd. & Mineola blvd. as a Mobil Gas Station & Automotive repair center. They lost their lease due to high rent and has now relocated to 99 E. Jericho trpke. Mineola. I was really concerned everytime I had to find a new repair shop to work on my five cars during his search for a new location. Nick is a very knowlegeable technichian & HONEST, priced fairly on all repairs, regardless on how big or small the job may be. And NO CHARGE for minor things that other shops harp on charging for. He deserves my business for as long as I keep driving & he rightfully deserve's your business as well. After all HONESTY takes you far. read more

I highly recommend this auto repair shop. The owner Nick is very attentive, knowledgeable and honest. There is no job big or small that he can't handle and his prices are very fair. You can stop in with an emergency situation and if he can assist you, he will do so without hesitation. He explains everything in detail and I always learn something new about cars.
