Movers showed up promptly at the pre-arranged time, and leading up to the move, there were several communications to guarantee time of the meeting and the plan. Upfront communication of pricing, expected services to be provided. Nate was always immediately available by either text or phone. I plan on using this company again when I move away from the Syracuse area as part of a planned move in 2018. While I did see other moving companies online with competitive rates, the difference in price was small and the service rendered by this company would be hard to beat. They were very professional. On the day of the move, they called ahead and showed up on time. They moved everything quickly from my apartment to the Uhaul and secured my furniture (efficiently!). They hauled more boxes and bins in a given time than I thought was humanly possible. The real test however was getting all of my heavy and large furniture up into our second floor apartment. They scoped out the stair/door situation and had a plan of action as to how to move every piece of furniture. They managed to move my heavy 7ft x 3ft x 24.5in rigid couch up a winding (4 turns) stairwell that was ONLY 24.5in wide at one point!!!! I am sure that if it is physically possible for your furniture to make it into your apartment, that these guys can do it quickly without any damage. Even for people who don't necessarily have a jig-saw puzzle of a move, I would recommend Gorilla Fit movers. They were professional, experienced, and had great attitudes. Our movers worked as a well oiled team giving each other direction to make sure none of my furniture (or the apartment) was damaged in the move. They made a very stressful day much more manageable and freed me up to tidy up my old apartment and get my affairs in order. It was a very pleasant experience. I lucked out with Reliable Movers - not only were they responsive and willing to book me from out of state for a move-in to a place with multiple sets of stairs, when they arrived they were helpful, friendly, and even prevented some damage that would have been done because of the way my outgoing movers packed my truck. They took great care with all of my items, got everything to exactly where I asked it to be placed even though I was stuck outside with the truck providing information, and got it all done in record time. The crew that showed up on move-in day were about twenty minutes early, after checking in with me via phone and text. Everyone was helpful and courteous. This was an excellent moving experience and I will be hanging on to Reliable's contact information for my eventual move to another location. The price for unloading into my new home was great, especially given the stairs involved. No one likes to make furniture go up narrow stairs - Reliable's crew made it happen quickly with a clearly practiced pace.

Unfortunately, this company does not work. My experience with Monica at Strong Hands LLC as well as Justin and Danielle from The Clean Team--has been a garish, Aligherian nightmare one that I imagine even Dante would've rejected. In the beginning, I was told that Strong Hands LLC's subsidiary, The Clean Team, would assist me with my move in three parts. Given my moving needs, I was told my move would require a "pre-clean" day, scheduled for Saturday February 11th, a "pack + move" scheduled for Monday, February 13th, and a "post move-out deep cleaning day" scheduled for Tuesday February 14th, 2023. We all reviewed the images of my studio and agreed to carry out the move over those three days. The contract was written by Strong Hands LLC and agreed to by me, the one who hired them. Nothing promised was delivered. Danielle did call me to let me know she was happy I had found another company to do the move so, should you also choose to look, elsewhere, your business will not be missed. I've attached photos of the apartment, the contract and communication indicating that there were no issues in moving forward with the move until it was time to actually do the job. Shame on you Strong Hands LLC and The Clean Team for refusing to do your job in the eleventh hour, inconveniencing me simply because you did not want to work and imbuing what has otherwise been a lovely moving journey with unprofessionalism, poor value service, unresponsiveness, incompetence, neglect, disrespect and blatantly wanton ableist disregard.
