Movers showed up promptly at the pre-arranged time, and leading up to the move, there were several communications to guarantee time of the meeting and the plan. Upfront communication of pricing, expected services to be provided. Nate was always immediately available by either text or phone. I plan on using this company again when I move away from the Syracuse area as part of a planned move in 2018. While I did see other moving companies online with competitive rates, the difference in price was small and the service rendered by this company would be hard to beat. I hired Zolar Moving to unload my rental truck in Ithaca on a Saturday at noon. By 1pm, I had left several unanswered phone calls at the only phone number I had for Zolar Moving (the one that is listed online) asking where their movers where. By 2pm, I had given up hope of them ever showing up and decided to go for a hike. They called me at 2:30pm saying they had just finished a job and were ready to head over to my apartment. No sign of apology for being 2.5 hours late and failing to return any of my calls. In fact, when I said I had just gone on a hike and might not be able to get back until 4pm, they told me they couldn't do that late and I'd have to wait until Monday. I decided it was better to unload the truck and abandoned my plans to hike. But they never apologized or remotely acted like they cared about me at all. I got back from the hike at the same time the movers showed up. A number of them were smoking cigarettes. The lead mover was particularly rude to me, my family, and the landlord (who happened to be there at the time). The movers punched a big hole in the wall of the entry hallway while trying to get the couch into the house. It was a tight fit, and there might be no way to get it in without damaging the wall somewhat. But the movers never showed any sign of remorse, only barely saying "our owner can fix this no problem". It sounded like this sort of thing happens a lot to Zolar Moving.

I hadn't planned on using movers (get a couple of friends,…read moreright?) until I realized that both entrances to my new 2nd floor apartment had very narrow winding stairwells. In a panic, worrying about how my furniture might fit, I called around to movers in the area. These guys had great reviews, the best rates, and were available, so I hired them. They were very professional. On the day of the move, they called ahead and showed up on time. They moved everything quickly from my apartment to the Uhaul and secured my furniture (efficiently!). They hauled more boxes and bins in a given time than I thought was humanly possible. The real test however was getting all of my heavy and large furniture up into our second floor apartment. They scoped out the stair/door situation and had a plan of action as to how to move every piece of furniture. They managed to move my heavy 7ft x 3ft x 24.5in rigid couch up a winding (4 turns) stairwell that was ONLY 24.5in wide at one point!!!! I am sure that if it is physically possible for your furniture to make it into your apartment, that these guys can do it quickly without any damage. Even for people who don't necessarily have a jig-saw puzzle of a move, I would recommend Gorilla Fit movers. They were professional, experienced, and had great attitudes. Our movers worked as a well oiled team giving each other direction to make sure none of my furniture (or the apartment) was damaged in the move. They made a very stressful day much more manageable and freed me up to tidy up my old apartment and get my affairs in order. It was a very pleasant experience. They also provided an accurate estimate of the time the move required and finished right on time. I would definitely call them again the next time I have to move. I can't recommend them enough.

I lucked out with Reliable Movers - not only were they responsive and willing to book me from out of state for a move-in to a place with multiple sets of stairs, when they arrived they were helpful, friendly, and even prevented some damage that would have been done because of the way my outgoing movers packed my truck. They took great care with all of my items, got everything to exactly where I asked it to be placed even though I was stuck outside with the truck providing information, and got it all done in record time. The crew that showed up on move-in day were about twenty minutes early, after checking in with me via phone and text. Everyone was helpful and courteous. This was an excellent moving experience and I will be hanging on to Reliable's contact information for my eventual move to another location. The price for unloading into my new home was great, especially given the stairs involved. No one likes to make furniture go up narrow stairs - Reliable's crew made it happen quickly with a clearly practiced pace.
