I wish I lived in Spokane I would be at Zola's as much as possible. Cool atmosphere comfortable and clean. The service is fantastic Sheldon was our bartender he was friendly and welcoming. We order a smash burger which was AMAZING simple and delicious. Also, a Jimi Hendrix elevated gin, infused basil lime juice, cucumber, sour, sour and simple syrup. One of the best gin drinks I have ever had.

We love coming to Zola for happy hour -- definitely the best in town from 4-7 PM! The menu is great, the live music is always fun, and the atmosphere is perfect. Taijah takes the best care of us as always -- so welcoming, polite, and attentive. Amazing food, drinks, and customer service every time!

After reading Yelp reviews, I decided to give this place a try while in town for work. I came in during happy hour after some long flights over, and I am so glad I did. I was worried about the hipster vibe a bit because I like really authentic places, but this place is truly a great place to visit. The bartender Sheldon was great with recommendations for food and brews. The Happy Hour here is no joke, and I get why it is so highly rated. You get live music while enjoying select delicious bites and draft beer for a great price. I originally ordered the Fried Olives, but it was suggested to do the Hummus Plate with the Fried Olives as an add on - incredible suggestion and a huge platter of good food! The beers here are a good selection between IPAs and Ambers, but there is no flight to try the selection. The bartenders can and do make pretty much any other cocktail suggested, and many others did the happy hour of a beer and shot for $8 option. The live music during Happy Hour was truly great! Many original songs and good talent with Eric Kegly. I also made conversation with some locals and the bartenders - all of whom were welcoming and kind with great local suggestions. The decor is fun and eclectic with great indoor and outdoor seating options. If I come back to Spokane, this location is definitely on the list.

I stopped by on a Thursday night just after happy hour around 630p as it was conveniently right next to my hotel. It was pretty quiet, with only a few patrons. I ordered take out from the bar, which took a bit longer than usual as they were in the middle of changing cooks, but not painful. I got some groceries next door while I waited and the bartender was super nice and kept me updated and hydrated. Ordered a Mediterranean salad and the grilled cheese/tomato bisque combo. All of the food tasted delicious. Salad ingredients were fresh and the balsamic dressing was top notch. The grilled cheese was cooked well, and the bisque was both tasty and creamy, perfect for dipping or sipping. The price tag was pretty average these days, but worth it for a filling and satisfying meal. Chill ambiance inside, would definitely pop in if ever in the area again.

Zola is a fun place to go. Certainly don't go for the food or the cocktails. Go to have a fun time. At happy hour prices, the drinks and food are an ok deal, but really I would recommend going elsewhere for a dinner, and then going to Zolas for the music, dancing, and party Service was good, and so no need to go to the bar. Just sit down at a table, and a friendly server will be by.

Swanky, hip, cool, hipster-doofus vibes with more charm than a bucket of moonstones. Cocktails are really expensive and not worth the price point IMHO. Live music is a great addition but the space and sound mixing were... less than ideal. To me it was incredibly loud with echoey but opinions vary and my GFF was a-ok. Super neat-o booths upstairs converted from old Tilt-a-Whirl rides. Not at all comfortable and a bit jammed in, even with two people, but kitschy AF and that's worth a wee bit of discomfort. Service was serviceable.

Honestly, Wooden City really lives up to its hype. It's an upscale spot right in downtown Spokane,…read morebut still feels warm and lively instead of overly formal. Definitely one of the best-quality restaurants in the city, where every dish was thoughtfully made and packed with flavor. What we ordered: Starters: - Spring Salad: Super fresh and well-balanced. The snap peas were crisp, with strawberries added for sweetness, and the goat cheese + pistachios gave it a creamy, nutty contrast. The lemon & tarragon vinaigrette tied everything together with a light, herby flavor. - Jerk Cauliflower: Crunchy cauliflower with Caribbean spices with a creamy jerk sauce, good as a side Appetizers: - Peel 'n' Eat Shrimp: Really juicy and spicy from the Cajun spice. There's butter to dip in but I found it too greasy and prefer lemon instead. - Blistered Hungarian Peppers: Smoky pepper with some sweetness and savory from the sausage and cheddar. Served with a toasted focaccia that soak up all the sauce. Main dishes: - Chicken Schnitzel: One of the must-orders. Crispy, golden breading, super tender inside. The lemon & caper butter sauce added acidity and richness that elevated the whole dish. Yoy have to order extra because it's never enough for the table. Yes, it's that good. - Marbled Duroc Pork Chop: Another favorite . Juicy and tender, with 'nduja salsa brava bringing a spicy depth, while lemon tahini and marcona almonds added creaminess and crunch. I always missed tasting this dish like my first time - Beet Ravioli: Earthy and slightly sweet flavor, nice texture but I hate goat cheese so I'm not really a fan of this dish - Pesto Bacon Pizza: Delicious crunch, loved the combo of mozzarella and gorgonzola, kind of creamy with a bit of funk. Balsamic do help balance and gave it a sweet tangy flavor, or else it would be too heavy for me (yes, not a pizza fan) Drinks & Dessert - Not Mai Tai mocktail: very aesthetically looking drink, but a bit too sweet to my liking - Apple crisp: cozy and warm, with baked apple & pecan crumble and served with vanilla ice cream on top. Delicious ice cream. - Pumpkin cheesecake: My 3rd favorite of the night, I still dream about it!! Rich, smooth, and perfectly spiced, you shouldn't skip this!!! That said, I do have to take away a couple points for timing. Our foods took 45 mins to come out even though I had reservations and note the menu items via the email, and the wait time between each dish was also... very confusing. It broke the flow of our meal. But once the food hit the table, it was hard to stay mad, so I forgave them.

I feel like I just went to a dress rehearsal about a play about a group of friends who got together…read moreand said "How about we open a restaurant? That would be fun!" Tonight was just so strange. First, I had no idea who was an employee. There were two girls that were going around together over and over, they kept stopping at tables so I think they worked there...but they never had anything in their hands. Our server seemed to keep forgetting we were there. Or just forgetting she was employed in general. Seriously just not with it. She was very nice...when she remembered we were there. I will say the pizza crust tasted amazing. So many places that serve pizza think of the crust as just something to put toppings on, but this had great flavor. Sadly, it was rolled too thin and said toppings made it somewhat soggy. Caesar salad was ok. Romaine was really fresh and crisp and the homemade croutons were still a little warm. Very good. However, the dressing was rather bland. And when I asked for pepper for it, our waitress first had it in her head that I expected some kind of peppers on my salad. When she finally understood I meant black pepper, she went away. Eventually she returned. Not with a pepper grinder or a shaker, but a sauce bowl that had about 3 tablespoons of black pepper in it. I wouldn't use that much pepper if I cooked for myself for a week and used it with every dish. Had to ask for knives for some of people's meals. I will say the spicy lamb rigatoni was amazing, pasta just right and the sauce and flavor was peak. I am just not sure what to say, other than this was the strangest and most disorganized dining experience I have ever had. I think if a grown up showed up and brought the kids into line, this place would be amazing. Also, for what we paid, I expected to be wowed, not left wondering what I just experienced.

Started off with a Perfect Peach & Huckleberry Lemonade Mimosas that were divine! Everything on the menu sounded amazing so we ultimately decided on the chicken and biscuit with country gravy, the Honey Gochujang chicken sandwich with fries and the verde Hash with eggs on the side. The chicken and biscuit was a winner but be prepared for the food coma afterwards- worth every bite! Their fried chicken is perfectly seasoned and moist. I'm glad we shared the chicken sandwich because it would have been too much , too sweet, on its own. I was Expecting to get more heat but it was mostly sweet- could have used more of a tangy slaw and house dill pickles for texture and acidity. The title with Honey in it should have tipped me off. The Verde Hash was the best hash I've ever had and a generous portion. The use of roasted poblano peppers, red peppers, carnitas and potatoes was taken to next level with the feta cheese on top! Great flavor profile and big enough portion to share. I can't forget to mention the delightful server who patiently gave suggestions and went out of her way to make our first Bruncheonette Experience memorable. Shared the Verde Hash and Vegetarian Breakfast Burrito (which we had as a bowl to make it gluten free). The hash was amazing, had such good flavors, and a generous portion of meat and the potato medley. The biggest issue right away was how long the food took. It felt like we were waiting forever, and by the time it finally came out, it definitely didn't feel worth it. We started with the pretzel, which honestly was nothing like a pretzel. It tasted more like glorified fried dough and didn't have that classic pretzel texture or flavor at all. For drinks, mine was way too strong and just didn't taste good. It wasn't balanced at all and ended up being hard to even enjoy. For my main, I ordered the Cascadia burger medium, but it came out clearly well done and overcooked. On top of that, the egg on it was severely undercooked.. some of the whites were still clear and slimy, which completely ruined it for me. I had also heard good things about the mac and cheese, so I gave it a try, but that was another disappointment. It was bland and runny, and even after adding salt and pepper, it still had no real flavor. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich, which wasn't terrible, but it was definitely on the dry side. They were also out of fries, so he had to get fruit instead, which was kind of disappointing. Overall, the food took way too long, the quality didn't match the price, and the experience just didn't live up to the hype at all. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.
