My sister and I have gone to the Bing for the Bing Holiday film festival for many years now. We love it! Being at the Bing, watching White Christmas! It doesn't get better! It's a great little venue with excellent sound. They have popcorn and other snacks and they also have a bar upstairs. It isn't always open, but sometimes it is and it's pretty good. The margaritas are premade, but they still do the job! The staff is nice, the shows are great, and the venue needs our business to stay around. The next time you're looking for something to do in December, look into the Bing Crosby Holiday film festival at The Bing! I had a terrible experience with the Bing Crosby Theatre's ticketing system and customer service. I bought tickets for the Josh Johnson show but got too sick to go. I spent over an hour trying to transfer them to my sister through their ticketing app. Nothing worked. When I called the main number for the theater for help, the manager picked up. She was immediately condescending and rude. She said, "Dear, I'm in the MIDDLE of OPENING and I'M the MANAGER and you can just go to the box office people and WORK IT OUT WITH THEM," and hung up on me. I never asked for a manager. I just needed help. They clearly don't have a real support system. No one was available to handle a simple ticketing issue. After everything I spent to attend, including hotel and airfare, being dismissed like that was unacceptable. read more

This is such a nice event center for concerts. There really isn't a bad seat in the house and it's beautiful inside to boot. A smallish bar on the second floor and a small snack center on the first floor are just fine for this smaller venue. On this occasion we treated ourselves to an evening with Leonid and Friends. This was the perfect venue for them and they blew the doors off with a fantastic show. I'm hoping when they come back someday they choose this place for their show again. read more

My family and I attended a comedy show 11/16/23. Zero legroom had us chewing our kneecaps the entire duration. Bonus: We only heard about 70% of the jokes due to the very quiet sound system. This art deco theater is an enjoyable experience for the most part. I've attended a few events here. There really isn't a bad seat in the house due to the small size, tiers, and acoustics. The seats are very small and not much knee space at all so if you are a large and/or tall person, be prepared for that. They do have a family/non-gender restroom on the 3rd floor past the bar for those whom require it. They do require proof of covid vaccination or you test (you purchase and bring in unopened) right there. Although, I have issue with this part. We received an email just a day or two prior to the Fab Four concert (that was rescheduled twice due to covid complications) that proof or a covid test would be necessary upon entrance. This would have been nice to know well in advance during the window of deciding to get a refund or not. So we spent the extra money to buy the test (which was our budget for refreshments and could have went to The Bing instead of the pharmacy). Let me tell you...I've never felt so judged and on display in my life. The staff was not even informed being tested was an option in lieu of showing vaccination proof. So there was a very obvious hold up in the line and loud discussion alerting everyone to that point. Then we were told to stand off to the side until they could confirm what they were supposed to do. Finally after about 20 minutes they had us stand over at a table that was set up in the lobby and do our test. The person "monitoring" wasn't present the entire time we awaited the results and then basically shouted over the crowd to just dispose of them in the trash and enter, not even verifying. What a waste of money and unnecessarily being given judgement and rude looks from other patrons. We were very annoyed by the lack of communication and follow through of their requirements. We also witnessed several of the staff and workers not wearing their masks at all times or properly, and no enforcement of their rules as to others wearing masks at all times unless eating/drinking. If this was such a big deal, then perhaps they should have treated it as such. I'm sorry this review was more of a rant than about our theater experience itself but this pretty much set the stage and mood for the rest of our evening that we had waited so long for. read more

This is one of the most gorgeous theaters I've been to. The architecture is beautiful, the acoustics are great and the setting is intimate. I experienced John Prine seven rows back, but it seemed that I was so much closer. The only downfall I can say is if you're short, like I am (5'-5") and you get a giant sitting in front of you, you may have a harder time seeing, but it's not that bad compared to most theaters from this era. Update: I came here in April 2011 for April Smith and the Great Picture Show. Everything was just as expected. Lovely theater and not a bad seat in the house. This time we decided to try out the lower balcony for the performance and if you can get near the front rows, it seems like you're right there! Up here, there is still a little problem with us vertically challenged, but overall it's still a great experience. As for the other review, I don't know if they were just having issues the night she was there, but all toilets seem to in working order as a flood of females tested them out during intermission. read more

We had the chance to come hang out At the Bing Crosby theater for a reunion show of the band Jack's mannequin. Located right downtown, we got super lucky and scored some street parking right out front. This made the remainder of the evening very easy! As it's located, what seemed like, pretty centrally downtown, it made it easy to walk Up to a restaurant and grab some drinks about a half an hour before the show started. The quick trip back made it so we were in our seats before the show had begun. Winning! The theater holds about 750 people plus or minus. There's a nice lower area as well as some good balcony seating. The place is fairly long and thin, but it's not big enough for there to be any bad seats, which was nice. It's definitely an older style theater, but it really added to the charm of the place. The seats are definitely more aligned with patrons of yesteryear, but there was adequate room for my butt... And if there's room for this butt then there's probably room for yours too! It seems that they have a good number of shows here and it covers a pretty eclectic variety of music styles. If you have the chance to go see a band that you like her, you should definitely take advantage of it. This is a really cool theater it was comfortable, had good access to downtown amenities and definitely heavy on the whimsy factor. Well worth checking out! read more

We worked on a fundraising event here and everything went smooth and great - such a beautiful venue and tons of dressing room areas to use. Not a ton of backstage and side stage storage for props and people but it's doable. The people working here are very professional and kind and our experience was so good. I'd love to return. read more

What's not to like about the Bing? It's a classic theatre that has been well cared for. Yes, the seats can be narrow and not a lot of room for your knees, but it's a great place to see a show. We have seen two comedians perform there and the acoustics are great. Ovations lounge is a great place to get a drink before the show. Nice view out the windows and you can bring your beer back into the theatre. We were in the balcony both times, and the view was very good. I'd go back any time there is a show I'd like to see. read more

Gorgeous space! Great seats! I can't say much about the regular programming since I was only there for a theatre festival.

This theater has a sort of vintage feel to it, and it is much bigger inside than it looks. The sound was great, we did not hear any reverberation even in the balcony section. The popcorn is by far the best popcorn in Spokane. They had a bar as well as candy and soda for those like myself who do not drink. My husband and I had a fantastic time. read more

Beautiful theater, amazing architecture and detail. Truly feels like a night out on the town. Comfortable seating and a great layout both upstairs and down. The staff was kind and I found every moment enjoyable. The only thing I have to complain about is that the theater could use a possible update in the bathroom.
