Edit: whatever they sprayed made my hair smell so BAD! I washed my hair twice since I got home but I can't get the smell off.. the comb they used on my hair was so brown. Gosh it was a nightmare, I should've stepped out the moment I saw their cart with dirty supplies in it. I paid in full and tipped them 30% so I could come here and still be honest with my experience. I only came here because all other salons near my house were fully booked. I wish I had waited 2 weeks to get a haircut from a professional. I got a haircut and brought a picture of how I wanted it to look, and the hair dresser says "oh, you already have some layers, so a trim would do" im like okay since she's professional ill just let her do her thing, and the hair cutting process took like 5 minutes I think. I was in the salon for exactly 13 minutes so I would say she worked on my hair right around 5~8 minutes. I told her I dont need a shampoo but she said "let me just wet your hair so its easy for me to cut it." And I was charged for shampooing. Not only that, I dont know what kind of rusty scissors sue uses but i gained extra extra split ends after I got a cut. Absolutely outrageous. read more

I went here for the first time on saturday for highlights and a cut and chose this place because it had great reviews. However the results were atrocious. I asked for full highlights and got barely a partial job done and despite me telling her I have to wear my hair up the majority of the time so it needs to be blended I got a terrible result and looked like a zebra. I had to go to a different salon to get my hair fixed after paying 140 for the terrible service from Zoe's. I should go ask for my money back. Worst Salon. After contacting the Salon to state I was unhappy with the color service, I was informed I would be refunded the amount I paid. I called back three business days later to indicate the day/time I would like to stop by for my refund. I was then told I could only come on specific days in the morning or leave my credit card and pick it up the following day. When I pointed out that this is illegal I was told that is all that could be offered and the phone was hung up. I will now take legal actions to obtain my refund read more

We booked at the last minute for a partial updo for prom for my daughter who has a massive, massive head of hair. Shana did a good job curling all of her hair and pinning it back in a way that looked simple but cute the way that my daughter requested as a full updo was not at all what she wanted. We were very pleased with the service and the price too. Most of the time we pay at least $150 or more for updos because of both of my daughters' waist length and thick hair, but the price was absolutely amazing. I found Zoe's about a year ago after visiting several other shops and sporting a variety of bad haircuts and bad highlights. I made an appointment with Nina and have been a happy customer of this shop ever since! Zoe and her staff are warm and friendly and Nina gives a fantastic haircut. Unlike the other reviewer, I think she does excellent highlights. She corrected and maintains my highlights and they look great. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Rita has cut my very straight, fine hair several times, and she always does a great job. My first cut with her was when I decided to donate my long hair. I showed her pictures of various short hair styles that I liked and let her decide what to do. She gave me very short A line bob stacked up the back. Hair like mine is unforgiving- every cut shows. I've had many bad cuts from several different stylists elsewhere, which is what led me to just letting it grow out. Rita's cut looked great, and I liked the short style she gave me so much that I went for a full pixie cut. I will not go back there!! Had been seeing Zoe for about a year. She also told me I had a bad haircut & she could make me beautiful. I got a coupon in the mail for a quick haircut at Ulta so I used it. About 2 weeks later, I went back to Zoe for my color. She was so mad that I had my hair cut elsewhere that she kept badgering me about where I went & when I went. She did not do what I asked her to do & then she charged me $10 more than normal. She has a bad temper. Don't make her mad. I had no intention of upsetting her but it is my right to go wherever I want. She needs to realize that. read more

I went to Zoe's Salon because of the reviews here on Yelp - I went for color and a cut... but I received so much more! Zoe is wise and insightful far beyond her obvious talent with hair. Actually, I have recently moved into the area from nearby and could have continued to return to my old salon. Being hopeful, I wanted to see if I could find somebody (better) and more convenient and decided to check on Yelp - thus I found this salon: great reviews with lots of praise for the friendliness and competence. Yes! These reviews are exactly accurate. I am so pleased to have found Zoe, and the search was painless :) As for the hair, she did an excellent job of matching my existing color even though I contributed zero information about what my prior stylist had been doing. Whatever "magic" Zoe did left me with great color and shine to boot. Not only that but she subtly improved on the shape of my cut, having an innate knack for knowing what to do. Then with only a blowdryer and a brush, she tamed my frizzy, graying hair (I mean "graying under the color," so it is full of those awful wiry and incorrigible gray hairs that resist being smooth!) Now my style is more lively and looks like it actually has a shape-- all this without drastically changing the general look if that makes sense. I am so happy with what she accomplished. Because I was impressed, I returned the same day with my 15yo daughter who needed a trim on her massively thick, naturally wavy, coarse, long hair. Zoe cut it dry as we requested, and the result was a precise, excellent cut. Not many stylists can get this right, but Zoe certainly did. Snooty salons make me uncomfortable...The type where the stylists seem to be in competition with one another to wear the most immodest, shocking outfits or the most unnatural hair styles and colors imaginable... none of that here. yay! These are normal, real people. What was the "extra" I mentioned? Zoe is a paragon of encouragement. It was a delight to spend time with her. Our conversation elevated my outlook many notches. Great haircut from Shana first visit, Ok, second visit, I could make it work, felt I just need to express my self more. third time, my nightmare hair cut. cut off 1 year of growth to one length, cut looked OK, then she picked up thinning sheers, and with my thin hair, cut off another two inches, leaving me with whisps hanging down around my head.
