He was pleasant to talk to on the phone, and he even confirmed our appointment with a text, saying that I was on the calendar. On the day of our appointment, I called him earlier on to confirm our meeting, and he didn't answer. I sent him a text, and he didn't respond. Four minutes AFTER we were supposed to meet, he texts me, saying that his job was having problems, that he was running about an hour late, and that he could call me when finished to see if I was still available. I told him that I wanted him to call, and he agreed to do so. The work I need done is on a rental property. It's not my own home. As a consequence, I found myself sitting in an empty unit on a Friday night. Now, I guess if I was at my house I could take a nap, watch tv, do some chores, etc. However, this was not the case. I was sitting in an empty house by myself, with no furniture to even sit on. For an hour. On a Friday night. Actually, it was more than an hour. I waited 2.5 hours for Tom to call me, and he never did. The next day, I sent him a text in the morning asking if he was still interested in the job and if he could meet me at another time, or if his failure to call meant that he was not interested in the job. He couldn't even be bothered to respond. Thanks a lot, Tom. I hope you treat your other customers better.

Sweet kid, but holy CRAP he's horrible with time…read more He's always got an excuse for being hours and hours late or not showing up at all. Heaven forbid he should leave to go get something... You have time to go catch a movie! He's not coming back any time soon. I had several projects for him to complete. To be fair, he did very well at switching out two exterior lights. HOWEVER, Do NOT let him drill holes ANYWHERE!!!!! I wanted a recessed light. He couldn't install it; instead, he got a similar flush mount. It's been six days and countless hours of work... I don't have recessed lights. Instead, I have no fewer than 4 holes in my 2nd story hardwood floors (above the kitchen). His drill even went into a storage bin that I had in a closet (piercing the contents over and over). I have 5 gaping holes in my ceiling and am having to hire an electrician AND ANOTHER HANDYMAN to fix Tom's "work." Very sad. I kept giving him chance after chance, and all I got for it was hours and hours of wasted time waiting, a ruined floor, ruined ceiling, ruined computer monitor, ruined storage bin, and swiss cheesed keepsakes. #Sigh

And when I asked Ryan if he was a licensed electrician, he stated "I'm the face behind the name" never revealing that he was not a licensed electrician. - When questioning Ryan about the position of an outside motion light he installed, he referred me to Steve Woolf stating that he was only a handyman. When talking to Steve Woolf he indicated that Ryan was a licensed electrician. However, when I asked him for Ryan's electrical license number for verification, he did not provide Ryan's electrical license number for verification. - After talking to Steve Woolf regarding the matter of where the motion light was placed, neither he nor Ryan made the correction of the electrical work in question.

I know it's unheard of yet, Woolf Electric went above and beyond my expectations from my first inquiry for services. I am very happy with the services they provide which was reasonably priced! Synopsis of my prior three-week electrical nightmare: before I contacted Woof Electric. I was looking for an "Electrician" to work on three electrical outlets in my kitchen. 1st: (Everybody hit the floor, this is a stick-up)! After calling Express Electrical Services @ (213) 626-4277, (I don't remember the guys name but let's call him: John Dillinger, lol) he arrived and started with these Harry-Potter-Wand, theatrics': Which, I have characterized the experience as the Electrician waving his Green tipped, beeping light-saber (electrical voltage sensor) stating: "somethings wrong here!" Walking numerous times from my kitchen to the dining room area. "oh, there's most definitely something wrong here with your wiring: see, see, it's not supposed to do that". Long-story short, "he sates you need a new 200 amp. panel (@$12,000 Plus), or we can rebuild your existing one (@$6,000 plus)". The kicker was toward the end of his performance: (oh it's your garbage disposal outlet). And, he had the "gall" to ask me with a straight face "how much do you think this will cost you? Give, me a number!" Yeah, this man wanted to charge me $475.00 to change out a single electrical outlet (which costs $2.00 @ Home Depot, & the covers was not included). Finally, he stated "Oh, I cannot guarantee changing the outlet will fix your problem, because; you need a new electrical panel as I have priced you from our set-pricing book". He should be in movies from his performance and theatrics'. I paid him $89.00 per his service fee and sent him packing (just wow). 2nd: Anji's List (w/Incompetent Service Pro's). I called and scheduled for one of their Electricians. My initial assigned services pro (more like service knuckle-head) cancelled 1/2 hour before he was scheduled to start my project. He phoned me at to say "I don't do electrical!" I was thinking...really dude? You, were scheduled almost 5 days prior. And, now you called to cancel. Moving on...So, Anji's rescheduled a new (Knuckle-head) to replace the 1st flaky-Procrastinator. Ugh, this: New Tony dude was an unexperienced (four hour) nightmare. Subsequently, I believe Tony was not properly vetted by "Anji's List" before sending him into my residence to do my electrical job. Fact: Just because you own a voltage meter and some wire cutters doesn't make you an electrician. In short: Tony ran from my home in frustration leaving open outlets, wires exposed. Lastly, frying the mother-board of my refrigerator by using his voltage meter incorrectly while testing dual (hot) open posts of an: on/off electrical switch, which; inadvertency fried my beautiful stainless-steel refrigerator. He spent 3-1/2 hours trying to fix his errors in judgment and lacking skillset. Ugh. Note: any time a so-called experienced professional has to look on: YouTube/forums for step-by-step instructions how to problem solve is dangerous and/or momentously inexperienced. And, just possibly you shouldn't be servicing the public under the false impression using the title: Electrician. At the end of the day I have "Woolf Electric," now on speed dial for all of my future electrical needs.
