Awesome job by Joe and crew on a very tough city move. They delivered a good quote and the move went off without a hitch despite pouring rain and parking challenges. Our stuff stayed dry and both houses stayed clean. The crew were all super nice and worked really hard. I did not see a single guy look at his phone the entire time, they were so focused. Before reading on, note that I did not choose to use Zito for my move. I was shopping quotes for a fairly substantial move from Buffalo to the Syracuse area. I used their online system to start the estimate process, which attempts to quantify the major furniture/appliances you have, plus asks for a number of "boxes." They called me with a quote for the move, and made it VERY clear that that quote was good ONLY for the exact number of boxes I had plugged into their website. As I know we had a lot of stuff, and was quite concerned about it, I called them back to attempt to schedule an in-home estimate to get a more accurate quote. Zito told me they only do this once a week, on Thursday mornings, during the work day. I rearranged my work schedule to be able to get home for the appointment to meet someone, and THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. I called the office, wondering if perhaps I got the day mixed up, and asked for a call back to potentially set up another time, but expressed that I wasn't impressed that no one showed or called. Zito Movers NEVER called me back, and at this point I was obviously happy to take my business elsewhere. So, I obviously cannot comment on Zito's ability to move your stuff, but with my isolated experience, I would certainly advise any one who asks me to steer clear of them. Very unprofessional, and obviously not concerned about treating (potential) customers with respect. Lastly, I will say that I had MANY more boxes than I had originally guessed, and the mover I ultimately chose (Diamond) came in $1000 below the Zito quote, which clearly would have only gone up if they saw what I had. read more

I would never use them again.They were on time at 9AM.But very careless abd asked us for $70.00 Dollars more after we pain $520.00 already and they dented some things and broke somethings.I would not recommend them at all very careless movers. read more

Unprofessional, lack driving skills and proper training. These movers were hired by my tenants. They parked in my neighbors driveway without permission and on the lawn. When I told them to move and park in the correct driveway, the diver started freaking out because he didn't know how the back up the truck. Then, instead of listening to what I (the property owner) asked, they decided to ignore my request and do what they wanted. If they ever show up on my property again I'll call the police and have them removed. Their unprofessionalism and lack of respect was unprecedented and represents the entire company from the owner down to the mover. I highly recommend calling someone else. read more

I was moving about 45 miles from a storage unit to a home. I spoke to two girls on the phone about my move and they quoted me $700. I thought it was a little high since another mover quoted me $500 but wasn't available on the date I needed. I had a list of things but had to add one tv and they tried to charge me another $50 for that. I complained and the girl changed it for me. My first red flag. They seemed very eager to get off the phone with me to make sure I felt comfortable. I thought that was really poor customer service. The day of the move the guys were professional at first. They got the job done. They said they'd put together a couple things but then didn't. Then one of the movers asked to use my bathroom and was in there for over 20 min. This was a brand new home and someone already was stinking it up. Very inappropriate I thought. Then a second one used it as well. I wouldn't use these movers again. I am going to be moving in the next couple years to an upgraded home and will definitely use another service. read more

Moving to another home is more complicated that it seems. Most important a mover is needed that is reliable, provides a clear estimate close to the actual price, and stick to a schedule. Zito Movers are excellent. Most important they were recommended by my Broker. A seller of a house has much to do, and must select what will go and remain. Then the mover is the final element in the purchase of a home. They came to the storage facility that was full of totes artwork, furniture, etc while I was literally 4 hours away in the new home, and arrived a few minutes early. They unloaded the boxes, furniture and electronics with care from experience and even arranged the furniture, boxes, electronics in the correct rooms. I highly recommend that you talk with Zito Movers when you are planning to move. They were prompt in placing totes, furniture, and electronics in the correct places in the new home They were careful and nothing was damaged.. They did a great job moving my apartment on short notice. Three guys showed up and wrapped the furniture, took apart furniture, took out my window ac units, rolled up the rugs, were careful with my stuff and were friendly & professional. I have never used movers before but I'll call these guys if I have to move in the future. The price seemed fair and I threw in a little extra for a tip. Only issue was playing phone tag trying to schedule but wasn't too bad. read more

This company moved my 88 year old parents out of their home of 32 years and into a senior apartment. I had to hire them long distance as I live in another state than the move. Their website allowed for a room by room estimate of the furniture and boxes to be moved. I was contacted by Lou Zito the next day with a very reasonable estimate. He told me that it was a flat rate regardless of the time required for the move be it 5 hours or 12 hours. Three movers showed up on time the morning of the move and got right to work. Todd,the foreman was polite, thorough and very accommodating in all of our requests. They wasted no time in loading the truck. It was especially nice that this company allows the owners to keep all of their clothes in the bedroom furniture during the move. They also disassemble and reassemble all of the furniture in the new place.I did feel sorry for the guys as they had another move after us but they were scheduled to start well before the five hour time allotment given to us. Maybe the boss should allow more time between moves. I know that if I were the second move of the day, and the movers were late, I wouldn't be happy or too nice to them when they arrived. I would highly recommend Zito movers to anyone! read more

These guys were fantastic (and I've moved a lot). I had a full 4 bedroom house with formal dining room (everything but a piano basically) and they were fast, efficient and took excellent care of my items. I had some additional things to move and it was no problem and the price fell right about average for all quotes. Before moving the larger pieces they covered each completely with a furniture pad and always used moving straps so the item was secure. I can not recommend them enough and I will definitely be using these guys in the future. read more

I have used Zito's twice. The first time was a small move where they put my mom's furniture into storage. The second time was last week where we moved into our new home. There where some were: very heavy pieces, big bulky pieces, some antique pieces and each piece was handled with great care. Nothing got damaged and they were very professional. I knew it was a bad sign when after 15 minutes of being in my house one of the movers broke my bathroom scale, saying it "shattered in his hands" (?!) and then left the shattered glass for me to pick up. It got worse about a week ago when my dresser mirror came crashing down because, I discovered, they never reattached it to the dresser after the move. Disassembly and reassembly of the dresser were explicitly part of the moving agreement. They did not return my calls about it either. You're better off using just about anyone else. read more

They are obviously not seriously interested in getting new business as they won't even come out to your house for a quote. They want you to take your inventory...people don't have time for that crap. Don't bother calling, they don't answer, take days to call back, and when they do call back, they are very little help. read more

ZIto movers told us they would arrive between 11 am - 1 pm. The day of our move came and at 1:30 they had still not shown and we started to panic- no one had called to tell us they would be late. We tried to call the number listed mulitple times and I left multiple messages starting at 1 pm. My husband actually went to the business address listed at 1:30 to see what was going on and no one was there. We were concerned they were not coming at all. Finally after 2 pm they returned our call to tell us they were going to be late and would not be arriving until 4:30 or 5 pm! Meanwhile my husband had been sitting at the house all day waiting for them, the call should have come at 11 am when they realized how backed up they were. We had both taken the day off from work to be there during our scheduled time of 11- 1. This was a huge inconvenience as we also had an appointment schedule at 5 pm which we had to cancel because they were so late. They did not show up until 5:30 pm. During the move my coffee table was broken and they left a huge yellow mark on my hallway ceiling. I am beyond disappointed with this company. The actual movers were very nice, courteous and professional. However we were very disappointed that management overbooked for the day and did not reach out to us to tell us our move was going to be delayed by 5 hours. When I spoke to management on the phone (after our move was finally completed at 8:30 pm) he could have cared less about his inconvenience. He took money off the bill but did not express any apologies for the huge inconvenience this caused and I will just have to use the money we saved to hire a painter to fix the mark they left on the ceiling. read more
