I was kept informed of their status during the day. Arrival was exactly on the promised time. I was expecting a large number of people but was incredibly surprised when only 2 men arrived. They carefully took the item out of the shipping crate, working quickly and efficiently. When the time came to bring it in I expected them to call in more people. Incredibly they lifted the 500 pounds, brought it up the stairs, navigated the tight corner and placed it where it belonged. Even while moving the care used was impressive. Great pains wee used to avoid anything that could cause damage. There was no damage caused. This company is great at what they do and the price was more reasonable then expected. In spite of the challenges of the move both men were pleasant and wanting to keep us happy. They did a great job and we will definitely use their services again.

My only complaint was that it ended up costing much more than I expected. I sent pictures of everything I wanted moved. Justin offered a $700 flat rate. I said that was more than I wanted to pay, and did he really think it would take more than 4 hours at the $150/hr rate. He said after talking to me he thought it could be as short as 3 hours. But, he wanted me to be prepared that it could cost $700. He ended up charging me $850 for the 5 hours it took them and $63 for mileage and gas (for a 13 mile move). As you can imagine, I was not happy about that. This was to move 2 regular couches (not sleepers), 2 beds, 2 dressers, and two bookcases, an entertainment cabinet and a few smaller items. I moved all the boxes myself in our cars. The movers were not more efficient or skilled as the last guys I paid from UHaul's find-help service. It took them 5 hours to load and unload everything, whereas previous movers moved the same stuff plus all my boxes faster. I wanted to be happy to support this local business and recommend to others, but I was left feeling ripped off from paying more than expected.

They truly treat your belongings and house as their own and make sure to protect everything from any damage. They even put blankets down everywhere to protect carpet and flooring from damage/dirt. When we arrived at the new house they did the same thing. My wife was able to specify where everything went and how is was to be put in each room. Everything went better than I could have even imagined. I can't thank Joe, Gio, Joe IV, and the rest of their crew enough. Since they finished so early, they helped us brainstorm other tasks they could do for us to fill out the minimum time. So I found this company on Craigslist, and was a little unsure because you hear a lot of horror…read morestories about craigslist companies, but I was looking for more quotes and called. The owner Don, came to my appartment to do the walkthrough and quoted me for 4 guys and eight hours. My move was a little more complicated than most as there were 3 separate places to load up and a real trick and steep stairwell with a lot of big furniture. I was in the Army living in Itay for 7 years so I collected a lot of large and heavy furniture and quite a few fragile trinkets. The crew showed up on time- no complaints there. I took them on a tour of what was needed and they started to work. After about 30 min though, they had to rework their plan after realizing just how trick this appartment was. I can't complain about that, because after they got it figured out, everything went smooth. They had one guy on the back of the truck who really knew how to load a moving truck. It was pretty impressive. Kinda like tetris. So they got the apt loaded up and the stoarge area loaded up (located in a warehouse behind the apt) and Don came out to check out progress. That made me feel good. The crew didn't break anything and showed me any thing that was damaged before they touched it, so I knew it wasn't casued by them. They even took apart some furniture and put it together perfectly later. After all that was loaded, we went to my brother's house to pick up just a few more large items and the crew went to have lunch. I will be honest and say I was a littler worried on time because we were at 5 hours by then (always takes longer to load than download) but once we got to my new house, everything went fast. I walked them through the place and as they got my stuff off the truck, I just told them where to put it and it was done. I did walkthroughs at all locations and there was no damage, I checked out all my furniture and the things I was sure would be most likely to break and no problems what so ever. They even got it done just shy of the 8 hours quoted. I hope I wont ever have to move again, but If I do, I would hire this crew again. The guys were hard workers, they were funny and most importantly- They moved all my belongings without breaking them. As far as price goes, Don even gave me a better quote than the next closest guy by almost $200 and then, He even gave me a discount for being a Veteran. I can't complain about that. Looking on this site, I see someone on this site had a negative experience, but I can't relate at all. Everything went textbook for my move and I had a hard one. I would say call these guys. They offered the best…read moreprice in the area for a small move, and though they were the cheapest, I'm glad that I chose them. They were scheduled to be at my old apartment between 11 am and 2 pm. They were there at 10:45 am. They were professional and polite, and handled my items with care. I think anyone's biggest concern when moving is that their belongings will get damaged. The crew was a 3 man crew. They asked exactly where I wanted everything to go in my new place. They efficiently put it where I asked. They got the move done in less than two hours and they were on their way. I don't think I could have asked for a better moving experience. I don't plan on moving out of my new apartment anytime soon, but I would definitely recommend A&L movers to anyone who is looking to move. I would highly recommend them and would use them again. I interviewed three moving companies. These guys impressed me the most. They called me back immediately and had the clearest pricing plan of any company in the Buffalo area. The day of our move they were on time and kept me updated on their arrival. They individually covered everything dresser, table, and bookcase to protect them. At the end of the move there was not a single mark on my walls or on any of my personal items. Most important these guys were respectful. Our move took all day and I never heard a bad word or inappropriate language. You always worry inviting a stranger into your house.
