I have been to them several times in the last two weeks to have several items dry cleaned and one repaired. I dropped off slacks and a sweater which came back in good condition but the slacks were not pressed. The second time I took a sweater and a royal purple silk blouse which I cannot replace. The blouse had moisture stains under the arms which I pointed out. Since I have alot on my plate with the passing of my Grandmother it did not occur to me to check their workmanship.Once I did when I got home I saw a tag stating we can not make further attempts to clean this item for fear of damging it. Well guess what a purple blouse does not have bleached arm pits. They are literally worn by cleaning chemicals to the point where there is no color left in the fabric. I also had made a repair inquiry on three occasions and each time told the seamstress would be there on a different date or time period as well as several different prices and the fact that I could not leave the garment with them but had to give it to her personally. Not what I expected and not happy.Hoping when I go to pick up my repaired blouse it is not damaged further as I intended to wear it for the service. read more

Terrible customer service. Some guy who wouldn't even look me in the eye took my clothes and basically ripped them off the hanger. Then he dropped my suit on the floor and didn't even pick it up, just kept typing on the computer. At this point I was like wow...if they treat me this bad how are they going to treat my clothes? This place is horrible! If you want to wear dirty clothes that's ironed then it might work for you. Not only did my two Blazers return to me in the same condition, they also lost my husband's slacks! You're getting exactly what you pay for! #nothing!!! read more

These guys did an awesome job, I highly recommend bringing your clothes here to get them cleaned and pressed. Never had an issue

I could write an essay on the horrible experiences I've had here, but because I kept going back to be a victim of the same horrific service, it is my fault. I suggest you stay away from taking your clothes there only to return to have them done again and they return them to you in even worse condition! This location is certainly one to avoid. I even offered the owner and staff $5.00 a shirt to press them correctly. They kindly refused and in turn did their "best" job of pressing. When i got home I showed the shirt to my wife and she busted out in laughter. Funny thing was she didn't laugh at my shirt, but at the fact that i went back "there" again! I'm done. read more

This place is the worst. A bunch of kids working. They do not help customers at all. If it rains then come with cash. Their system is always down when it rains. The 10 minimum I think is ridiculous to use your card. When I have 20 dollars or more though, and credit card system is down. That is crazy. Stains on shirts. Over pressed. They suck!! read more

If I could give a - 55 for this place I would. I paid to replace a dress shirt sleeve button, it fell off when I wore the shirt. Paid to have a zipper replaced in dress pants, zipper was not stitched correctly, had to wait 2 additonal weeks for pickup (though I checked in twice because I was told it would Wednesday). My dress shirts are wrinkled most of the time. The sad thing is that most of the cleaners around here are almost equal. I am seeking a new cleaner asap, because I could go on and on about their service. read more

I guess you get what you pay for. I'm originally from the west coast and a business suite would've about 12-15 bucks. But they actually remove all stains( that can easily be removed with water) and press it nicely without smelling like old clothes lost behind the closet. So I guess I should have guessed the quality by the price. I been coming here for a few months and I always try to give them another chance. But I feel I'm done with these guys after today getting my suite with a old food stain. I asked the gentleman if they even spot check it and he stand yes but I have to tell him in advance about any stains. ..., I'm sorry but I'm giving it to you to clean. Anyways I got back home a old rag and some tap water and BOOM ! Stain is gone !!! I should open my own ZIPS ! I guess I'm qualified to operate one ! DO NOT GO HERE! In general they do a pretty bad job, and most of the clothes look just as dirty when you pick them up as when you brought them in. If that was the only issue, I would not be writing this review. Last time I brought in a pair of suit pants I asked them to pay special attention to a stain on one of the pants leg. When I came to pick it up, I checked the leg and there was a huge discolored spot with a hole in the middle where the stain used to be. The whole bottom of the pants were also ripped up for some reason. When I spoke to the manager about it he told me I must have brought them in damaged and refused to even consider that they might have done it. Not only will he not reimburse us for the damage, he was super rude. This is the worst dry cleaners I have ever been to! read more

negative stars to this location. After being a loyal customer, forgiving lost clothing and garment mishaps, I took some clothes in for same day service and was flat out denied! I arrived at 9:03 am for same day service, rushed in and asked ever so nicely if i could please, please have the clothes same day(cut off was 9am) "No" he said with a blank stare. Funny thing is, I went home and called around to some other cleaners, went to an appointment and THEN dropped my clothing off at another cleaners and received them after 6, same day. Yes, it cost a bit more, but I will pay for excellent service anytime. I found my new cleaners.... read more

The adage that you get what you pay for is thoroughly true when it comes to dry cleaning at Zips. I was initially elated that we had a Zips in Silver Spring, but after patronizing the store for a few months found that my clothing and other articles where not thoroughly cleaned, and in some instances did not appear to have been cleaned at all. The laundered shirts were okay, but they continually did an abysmal job on the dry cleaning. If you value your clothing and spend good money on them, spend the same to have them cleaned properly. read more

Terrible customer by the cashier that took my clothes by the that showed up on my receipt as "Edward R", politely asked for crease in sleeves and for them to be treated on the collars as well, came back to pick them up nothing that I asked was done and he was the same one who gave me stuff back and I was done with my stuff and asked me to move out the way for someone else. read more

My girlfriend and I have been going to this location for the past 6 months but in the last month and half their quality of service has gone way downhill. Sure no cleaner is perfect but they did a decent job on clothes until our third visit where they got blue dye and left the chocolate stain that we pointed out on my son's vest for his suit and shrunk my girlfriend's dress. Well of course we asked them to re-do the garment pointing out the old issue and the newly created on. The manager tries to tell us that it's the due from the vest (black vest, blue dye? Go figure) but finally agrees to do it over. Well next day we pick it up and guess what. It's still not right! This time the manager says that he needs to take it into their main branch. When we picked it up this time it was finally right. So after that did we stop going? Nope, I figured give them the benefit of the doubt since they recently opened. So now skip to 6 months later. Well the last 3 batches of dress shirts and polo shirts I have put in have all come out with the same dirty collar that they went in with. It seems like even pointing out something as common as a dirty collar goes unheard now. At this point I'm paying for so called in by 9 out by 5 service but it's becoming out by 5 the next day because every garment has to be redone. I am definitely not giving this place anymore of my business. I'd much rather pay more and have clean clothes than to get back pressed dirty clothes with now set-in stains because of an employees laziness and lack of care. read more

I am not at all happy with the service I received at Zips located off of Tech road. I dropped off 17 items to be dry cleaned. At pick up time, my husband went in to pick up the items I dropped off. Upon arriving at home we found out that one of his work shirts were switched out with a shirt that was not even his. When I went in the very next day to return the shirt and request that they find the original shirt that was dropped off no one wanted to help me. The manager with the short ponytail, who is pretty young saw the entire transaction going on at the front desk and did not even come up to assist the new associate helping me. Instead when she went to him with my complaint he advised her to leave the shirt and wait for his Assistant Manager to call me. When I finally received a phone call from the Assistant Manager, I was accused of lying and that the shirt that I dropped off was not even a shirt that they dry cleaned. This was extremely upsetting that they would treat a customer like this. I had to come in and watch the video along with Assistant Manager to show the entire drop off transaction and the entire pick up transaction. After viewing the video the Assistant manager was able to see that indeed they misplaced my husbands shirt. I was patient and requested that she follow up with me in a few days with a resolution. After a few days passed I had to call in and follow up. This showed that they don't even care about my time or my concern nonetheless the missing shirt. The Assistant Manager advised me that her manager the young guy who did not find it important to speak with me when I was at the cleaners, said that I have to wait 30 days for the shirt to appear and if it doesn't then they will place a ticket in to reimburse me for the misplaced shirt. This is totally unacceptable and inconsiderate of any customers time or belongings. This establishment is poorly managed with young inexperienced staff members who could care less of the reputation of this business. Very Disgusted with this service. read more

I decided to use this dry cleaner for the first time last Thursday. My son needed a patch sewed onto his Boy Scout shirt and I decided to have it clean as well. They told me it would be done by Tuesday. Now, we had a severe snow storm on Saturday, so I decided to wait a few more days before picking it up. I go and the shirt is in a yellow bag. The lady in charge of doing the alterations hadn't touched it yet. It was all wrinkled and forgotten on the floor. The lady tells me that she didn't come back to work until yesterday and that she didn't know what to do with it, even though the instructions on the receipt are very clear. To top it off she tells me that to replace the old patch with a new one instead of the $12 I already paid, I needed to pay $15. Which would had been fine except that a) why didn't' you call me if you didn't know what to do with it? b) we all have bad days don't take it out on me c) where's my refund? Did it go to my credit card? Where you supposed to give me cash instead? The person who helped didn't know how to refund me the money and couldn't give me a receipt of the "refund" that she claims went back to my account... First and last time there. read more
