While Zippy Mart's proximity to campus is convenient, I would strongly advise students and others in the area to consider it a last resort. My recent visit was deeply disappointing.A primary concern for me was the questionable quality of the products. Upon closer inspection, the expiration dates on several items seemed suspect, which raises serious doubts about the store's inventory management and commitment to consumer safety.The atmosphere and service are equally concerning. The environment is unwelcoming and gives off a distinctly seedy vibe. This is matched by the service, which is apathetic at best and contributes to an overall feeling of discomfort. It's the kind of place where you feel like you should get in and out as quickly as possible.For these reasons, I cannot in good conscience recommend Zippy Mart. It may be close, but the risks and unpleasantness far outweigh the convenience. read more

Here for car wash only. What's with Reno and limited car wash options . The wash offers soft touch or touch less. Prices are fair for wash provided There is plenty of space to pull your vehicle around and straight in. Underside wash is nice. Bonus, the triple foam is actually triple. Been to so many triple foam washes that are one or two foams. Dryer hits the vehicle forward and backwards. Overall, we were happy to have a clean vehicle now. read more

I moved into the area recently and walked to this store to purchase cigarettes. While in there I spoke with one of the owners and explained that I would like to walk up and bring my dog and if it was alright if he stepped inside the store. She smiled and said he was welcome. I explained he was big but gentle and she said no problem. I went twice with no issues. A different female worker and a male. No problem. Mac and I came by a third time and the woman I spoke with was working. When we entered she immediately started screaming at me tell8ng me the dog was not allowed. I reminded her that she told me this was fine. She told me that was only for that one time. Funny cause he was not with me when I asked. She was so rude as she went back on what she said was OK. I specifically asked without the dog to explain my intentions and she said "we are fine with that" there are plenty of other parts in the area stay away from this one. They are liars. read more

For college kids living up the road it gets the job done, but most of the food is definitely knock off and doesn't taste like the real thing despite the packaging appearing so. Pretty overpriced, but then again, all these little gas station businesses are. I'd probably go down McCarran to Shell, a more trustworthy place for both fuel and food. read more

First off, this store is HORRIBLE! We wanted to get change but apparently "we had to buy something in the store first" before we could get change which is just ridiculus! Forcing us to buy something we dont even want just for change! I have never been to a store that has done this "policy" before when all we want is change. Apparently in order to "open" the register you need to buy something first but as someone that has worked in retail before, that is just not the case. Do not come here as there is ZERO price tags in the store as well so you dont know how much is the stuff your getting. read more

Very nice of them to let my 2 year old son and I use the restroom, but when I complained that it was so dirty in the bathroom that I didn't want my son touching anything! And no paper towels. Instead of the owner apologizing he got super defensive and basically saying I wasn't a customer so there was no room for my opinion. He was very rude! And didn't seem concerned about how dirty the bathroom was. But I do appreciate you letting us use the restroom. read more

BUYER BEWARE: It's pretty unfortunate that the majority of the people that come here will not see this, but for the rest of you-- take caution when you use your card here. For the last three months they have been charging me $1 fees here and there. At first I figured that maybe it was a service charge. Then I noticed that it has happened a few more times, and I haven't even been there recently. I called them and asked for an explanation, but they had no useful information. I had to sit on the phone with my bank for 20 minutes to correct it. Use cash, do not trust them. I will never shop there again. read more

Dirty restroom and rediculous debit charge!! There is no obvious signage indicating there will be a $.50 debit fee! The prices for the products are already too high and then they add a debit fee on top of it! I paid almost $5.00 for a bottle of water and a small fountain drink (plus a debit fee)! The fees that retailers pay for taking debit is just a cost of doing business just like electricity, water, telephone, etc...... Should I be charged an electricity fee for using the light when going to the restroom? No! If retailers want to take debit, they need to eat that cost, not charge the patrons! Besides, new regulations capped card charges to 21 cents per swipe...... Zippy Mart is making a profit by me using my card to buy their already over priced items! Never again will I shop there! This place is great - I live really close so I walk up there to pick up things I forgot at the store, or grab a drink. They have all of the different flavors of calypso lemonade! Most gas stations don't, and they're so good. I'm in there all the time and they recognize me now, the husband/wife team is super friendly, and the other guys that I see occasionally are great too. I've never tried their hot food but I see people buying it all the time so it must not be bad! This place has a great selection for a small convenience store and the people are very nice, I'll be a loyal customer as long as I live down the block! read more

I live fairly close to Zippy Mart (or the Zippy as all of my college roommate call it). It is convenient to go to because it is so close. The gas pumps seem a little outdated and you have to wait a while for credit cards to go through which seems to take forever if you're in a hurry. but they stock the BEST tobacco around! I do not chew, but all of my brothers and boyfriend do and this place is ALWAYS fresh! If you are going to shell out $5 for a can, make it a fresh one! Other gas stations sell the stuff right up until the day before the can expires. Not Zippy! I have never bought a can from them that didn't have at least 2 weeks until expiring! Its a husband/wife team and they both are always welcoming and smiling and I really enjoy the warm greeting when I walk in the door. read more
