My boyfriend and I love going to Zipline! It is a great local brewery in a great location in North Downtown. If you're nearby for a show at The Slowdown, Creighton, Charles Scwabb Field, or the CHI Center, you should definitely make this your next stop. The bartenders are always extremely friendly and give super great recommendations if you are not sure what you want to get. If you work nearby, the happy hour deals Monday through Thursday are great ($3 from 3-4pm, $4 from 4-5pm, and $5 from 5-6pm)! The selection is always great and they have options for all different tastes. They rotate the selection often enough to keep it fresh, but also make sure to keep some favorites around! The space is comfortable and large, and has lots of different spaces for all sized groups. Sitting at the bar is nice, but plenty of tables are also available. I ordered the resinator this past visit, which was a new release. I really enjoyed it, and they had a limited number of resinator-themed cups to give out to those who ordered it, which was a nice surprise! As always the beers we had were great! I love Zipline beer and have been fans for years and used to frequent the Lincoln location often. Tonight was our first time at the Omaha location and it was almost impossible to get a beer even sitting at the bar. It was a little busy and only one bartender but we couldn't even get acknowledged. Hubby got a full pour of the Daaang! IPA, followed by the limited time Hazy Daaang! IPA. The bartender, Ian, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the different beers. He ordered our beers in a way that would make sense and help us to get all the flavors. It wasn't very loud, which I like to hear table convo so that was nice. It seems laid back & chill. I'm not a typical beer drinker & that's all they have, so I opted for a light brew in a sample glass for $3. The beer was cold & refreshing. They offer every table a bowl of pretzels-nice touch! Looking around it's very clean. They have hi cement walls with vibrant pictures of buildings that have beers paired with them that show their local beer with the architecture they think match their style! I dropped by Zipline twice during the CWS and had an enjoyable experience each time. They had an impressive selection of beer on tap in addition to a couple of guest taps. The tap room itself is nothing special. In fact it's sort of industrial with the shipping container housing the kegs. There were several wooden tables throughout. I enjoyed the patio that lets you watch the passers-by on 14th street. The real story here, however, is the beer. They definitely rank among the best in the state. My favs are the nut brown and copper alt. If you want something little different, try the tequila lime gose. It's flavor is dead ringer for a shot of tequila. read more

Will S. had a Yelp event going on, so what a perfect time for me to run down from the Slowdown, see some Omaha Yelpers and have some brews! The staff at Zipline were all very sweet and explained the beers perfectly! I ordered a Flight.. I choose 3 of the beers then I said Bartenders choice.. And she did not disappoint with her choice! I had an IPA, a Pils, A Sour, and something I can't remember but was delicious as well! I really dig the layout, and they have a huge projection screen playing sports. I love this little pocket of Omaha, and I guarantee this would be a hot spot during the college World Series, Don't strike out! Get up to the place, and Zipline over fast! I was very excited when the new taproom opened recently, given my affinity for Zipline beers and the proximity to my workplace. It will be a great location for a beer after work. Some buddies and I stopped in after a CWS game recently and overall, we had a good experience. They have a good variety of beers on tap and also have a cooler with other Zipline products. I'm not sure if you can buy those and drink them on site, I would assume so. Maybe not? I don't know. Why would you when they have a great selection on tap. The servers were attentive, as well. The taproom itself was a little disappointing. They have a bar area and several tables around but I was hoping for a bit more. I'm not sure what though, so perhaps it's not a fair complaint. We all kinda thought that the space was not used very well and they could have more seating with some strategic maneuvering within the space. Maybe they will, maybe this is what it will be. Either way, it's not a major problem, the beer is great and the location near downtown is great. So, I am certainly a fan and look forward to enjoying this place as a welcomed addition. read more

I had a flight, and a couple full pours and really enjoyed each one. The service was great. I learned chatting w/ barkeep that they don't actually brew on site. Their main facility is in Lincoln, although they do barrel age some stuff in house. Super cool vibe. Great part of town. No food, but you can bring/order in. Had a chance to drop into this brewery last night. Great downtown location but parking was a bit tricky. (Bring quarters for street parking). Super friendly staff and comfy seating makes this a great addition to Omaha's amazing growing brewery scene. I tried two brews. First was the red pale ale. Delicious well balanced beer. Ended my night with a growler of it. Second beer I tried was the Daaaang pale ale. This one held true to its name. It's got some stank to it. Very nice!!! Selected an Alpha Modern IPA. Easiest IPA I've tasted in some time. I've been touring breweries for a couple of months. Here in Omaha and in Seattle. Lots of great IPA's. This is one of the best I've drank. Zero bite. Zero taste of alcohol. Makes me think of a non alcoholic drink with Eggs Benedict's!! SOO tasty. Nice facility well situated in the flats of downtown Omaha by the stadium. Staying at the Hilton so it was a 2 minute drive. Could have easily walked it. Nice job. read more

Traveling on business and this was walking distance from hotel! What a find...Great tap room, great bartender, very knowledgeable of the product. I tend to enjoy more of the Hoppy wheats or the citrus IPAs. I highly recommend the Alpha Modern IPA 5.4 ABV. read more

Assuming you have at least a slight familiarity with Zipline, then there's not much surprise here in terms of beers. Most is brewed at their cramped industrial brewery in western Lincoln, so the majority of what you see here is on tap there first. The difference is the vibe. Obviously it's less crowded than that original taproom, and maybe that just fits into it feeling much more laid back than Lincoln. There's a long patio outside, a line of seating at the window, and a large L-shaped bar. The rest of the interior is like an old factory, complete with the stairs leading up to the enclosed manager's office (Wilco's "the air-conditioned rooms at the top of the stairs"). They don't do any happy hour and the beers are a bit expensive for what they are. You get a discount if you have movie tickets from Film Streams though. As far as places to hang out, I'd probably pick the Blatt or Trap Room over this, but I also don't find Zipline's beers to be that great. It's a friendly place though and it's nice to at least have a brewery tap room in this neighborhood. read more

A most excellent addition to North Downtown. And it's about time Zipline opened a tap room in Omaha! The space is pretty cavernous, as it's in a former warehouse. But that works really well for a no-frills tap room and even gives it kind of an 'at-the-brewery' feel. There are 10-20 taps featuring Zipline's current lineup plus a couple of guest taps. No food, but there are plenty of nearby options (Hook & Lime, Blatt come to mind). On both of my visits I opted for their all-around solid IPA. Staff were attentive and nice. If things get really hopping here, maybe they could eventually add an upper level for seating, live band/DJ, etc. read more

Arguably the best beer in Nebraska, this taproom has a sterile feel. I know they just opened and the have to work with the space they were given. Unlike the Lincoln location (which Ploughshare mimicked) this spot is not very welcoming. It's not their fault. What costs 2 stars from me is that the guest tap is Brickway. Seriously? They are just down the street and in almost every downtown bar. Just like Lucky Bucket was. Coincidence? No. I would rather see the likes of Boiler Brewing or a less overpromoted local beer. Not impressed. No acknowledgement when we arrived. Sat for 20-30 minutes talking at a table top. Bartender was the only one working on a Friday night. So no one came to take our order. We finally realized that you must go to the bar to order. She didn't approach me until I called out over the noise. Then she says they sell only beer. We wanted wine. I ordered two beers and was told that she's done last call already and we had about 15 minutes to be gone. Very disappointing. First and last time we'll go there. They need to step it up. read more
