In April of 2012, I purchased a 3-year alignment program (along with a full set of tires) for my 2004 Acura TL from the old Portage location. I was pleased with the service I received, so I decided to come back for a full spring/shock replacement in the summer of 2013. After picking up the car, I soon realized that the service tech (Conrad) failed to install the rear springs correctly. They appeared to be crooked, and were rubbing against the sides of the shocks. After bringing the car back and being assured that everything was normal, I decided to take it elsewhere. I went to every other Ziegler store in the area, and each one confirmed that something was definitely not seated properly within the shock assembly. After many phone calls and in-person visits, I was finally able to get a refund for the poor spring/shock installation, and then proceeded to have another local shop reinstall them correctly (no more crookedness!). Today (~1.5 years later), I decided to give Ziegler another chance at their new Whipple facility by taking my car in to utilize the alignment program I had already purchased, and to also have them check out (and possibly replace) some other components on the vehicle. When I walked in, the sales rep recognized me and proceeded to refuse the performance of the scheduled alignment service on my vehicle due to the "ordeals" they've had with it in the past. In summary, I was denied use of a (bought-and-paid-for) 3-year alignment service because the shop was (apparently) bitter about having to refund me for a mistake their service tech made, and then refused to rectify. Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend this new Ziegler location. read more

Charged me $80 for a regular wheel balance not a road force one. when the 4300 tuscarawas st W location only charges $25 I feel scammed.

This is a beautiful store, being fairly new helps but what really stands out is the cleanliness. The showroom and waiting area are exceptionally clean but the garage area really stands out. This tells me that they have caring employees. read more

I took my car to Ziegler tire to get checked out because it was making a strange noise. The guys there took it for a drive and then took it into the shop to look at it. After about 45 mins of inspecting my car, he came out and told me that the front strut of my car was shot and it was going to cost $1700 to fix. I ended up taking my car elsewhere and had someone else look at it, and they fixed it for $90 and said that it was my break pads that needed replaced. I asked about the front strut and he said, no it's fine. I am extremely frustrated with Ziegler tire because they lied to me about the issue with my car and then tried to take major advantage of me. How many people do they do this to on a daily basis? read more

I took my vehicle here to find out why my exhaust was getting loud. They gave me an estimate to replace almost the entire system for $700-800. I asked them specifically where the problem was, and they could not tell me. They just said it was the whole thing. I decided to go to a shop in Alliance that I know is honest. That shop told me it was just the resignator and they fixed it for me for $95.00. End of story. Obviously, this Ziegler does not know what they are doing, or they just don't care how much $ they end up charging people. read more

Paid for a 4 wheel alignment, after completion all the specifications were still way off. Went in a second time to have it fixed and only one slight adjustment was made, most specs were still out of wack. I realize at this point they can't do the job right no matter what. I schedule a third time to atleast have the rear camber adjusted, they had set at -3.5. So after that was done they told me it's at -1.6 (in spec) but refuse to give me a printout. The wheels still look the same. Took it to elsewhere to have it checked and turns out all of the specs were still way off and the rear camber still at -3.5. Had it realignment correctly for $100 and is all within specs. All in all I wasted $120 and a ton of time at Ziegler and was treated like an idiot. They still never made it right. Wwwaaayyy overpriced. I went there to have my shocks replaced, along with an oil change. The $25 oil change comes with a tire rotation. I supplied my own replacement shocks. Because my vehicle would already be up on the lift and the tires removed due to the tire rotation, I thought that simply removing my old shocks and replacing them with the self supplied ones would be fail inexpesive. Imagine my shock and horror when I was presented a bill for $300. Now, this was not my first visit here. I asked why so much. Their reply was that it was the going rate and that, according to their data, this job is entitled to be charged with 3 hours labor. I was adamant that my vehicle was not worked on for 3 hrs, but they insisted that that was their charge regardless of how long it took. I had been a loyal patron here for over a decade, but after this episode, they shall never receive my business again. read more
