I was pleased with the service I received, so I decided to come back for a full spring/shock replacement in the summer of 2013. After picking up the car, I soon realized that the service tech (Conrad) failed to install the rear springs correctly. They appeared to be crooked, and were rubbing against the sides of the shocks. After bringing the car back and being assured that everything was normal, I decided to take it elsewhere. I went to every other Ziegler store in the area, and each one confirmed that something was definitely not seated properly within the shock assembly. After many phone calls and in-person visits, I was finally able to get a refund for the poor spring/shock installation, and then proceeded to have another local shop reinstall them correctly (no more crookedness!). Today (~1.5 years later), I decided to give Ziegler another chance at their new Whipple facility by taking my car in to utilize the alignment program I had already purchased, and to also have them check out (and possibly replace) some other components on the vehicle. When I walked in, the sales rep recognized me and proceeded to refuse the performance of the scheduled alignment service on my vehicle due to the "ordeals" they've had with it in the past. In summary, I was denied use of a (bought-and-paid-for) 3-year alignment service because the shop was (apparently) bitter about having to refund me for a mistake their service tech made, and then refused to rectify. Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend this new Ziegler location.

At around 3:30 I walked into the shop only to be told, "I was just about to call you. Our parts people brought the wrong part. We'll have it ready first thing in the morning (that would have been Wednesday MORNING). I took the bus to where I could bum a ride from a friend that evening. Wednesday morning came and went. Around 2PM I called and Brian said they were waiting on a pig tail (wiring part). I told him that I'd get going and catch the bus to the shop. "Oh, no. If we don't get the part then we'll have to keep your car another day." Brian said. Me: What am I supposed to do? It'll take me 1-1/2 to 2 hours to get there on the bus. Brian: Well we'll come pick you up." Me: But I live in Canton over by Taggarts. Brian: That's OK. I'll call you when it's done. My phone record says I called Brian back at 3:19. Me: Is my Venza done? Brian: Yeah, you can come pick it up. Me: But you said you'd come get me. Brian: We don't have a driver. Me: Well can you wait for me to get there- it'll take about 2 hours. Brian: We close at 5:00. (Website says 4:30). I hung up knowing I'd have to pay for a Uber- which I did. It cost $18 for the Uber. When I got to the shop Brian says: I apologize for being short with you on the phone. I'd just hung up from a really difficult customer. [And that's MY problem WHY?] I'm giving you an oil change next time you come in. [Like I'd go back to a LIAR that said he'd pick me up??] I asked what the "damages were" and paid $504. I got home and looked at the wiring and didn't see ANY new wiring. [I'd attach a photo if I could of the OLD wire.] TWO DAYS to do 3 hours of work? And one wrong part and an elusive "pigtail"? Really?? AVOID THIS LIAR AT ALL COSTS.

Just prior to my husband's passing, he noticed a tire pressure warning light but he was unable to fix it or get to Fuerst for help. Today I drove our car for the first time since my husband died. I drove to Fuerst and with my cane hobbled to the front door to find that it was closed. As I got into my car to leave, Mike came out the front door to ask what kind of help I needed. I was in tears due to circumstances, apologized and explained. Mike offered condolences and even though they were closed, he told me to pull up and he would check my tires. Mike was so gracious, patient and kind. He properly inflated all 4 tires and said if the warning light returns to come back on Monday. As a family owned business, Fuerst Automotive continues to prove how much it values its customers and cares about the community. Mike is a prime example of that excellence. I don't know of many businesses that would've reached out when closed to help someone during a difficult time. I wish I could give Fuerst 10 stars because they deserve it. Thank you, Mike, for your kindness and help.

I had to have a tow truck it to her address due to it not wanting to start in Park, I found out though that the shifter was very stiff as well and would only move when I used the bypass button. I couldn't get it to start but the tow truck driver showed me that it would start in neutral using the bypass switch and shift into gear but when in park it would still move. So, we didn't want to risk driving it to her house and so we had it towed. The tow truck driver said any mechanic should be able to fix that for you with no problem. So, I called Adkins that evening, and he diagnosed it the next day. He said, he tore the whole console apart, even tested the neutral safety switch but it was seized and couldn't be moved out of neutral. He told me it starts but will not shift. I was told the rod was welded internally within the transmission. I thanked him for his time and effort and he was paid by my mother in law. We'll, then myself and a friend came over and found the shifter was indeed froze in neutral, but after we re-tore the console back apart, and diagnosing it ourself we got it to shift. Took it to a transmission shop, who said this is not a transmission problem at all. We were told to take it to a mechanic and that it's either in the shifter itself or the cable, but definitely nothing to do with the transmission. The mechanic from Adkins confirmed over and over that he's torn many of these apart and he knows his stuff when it comes to vehicles. The question is, then why did he not diagnose the issue correctly and refer me to a transmission shop who then sent me back to a mechanic. I got the shifter out of neutral but he couldn't. He said he tested the neutral safety switch but it didn't look like it had been touched. I'm just saying, I will never trust this company to touch another vehicle of mine. Didn't seem to know as much as he claimed. Did not give a correct diagnosis and still took my mother in laws money. You decide what's right or if you would trust this mechanic.
