All Makes and Models is truly a rare experience for an Auto Maintenance Shop, and after my first…read moreexperience, they have won my business hands down. We were recommended by a friend, I decided to give them a try, and found that they exceeded expectations all around What I discovered about them is that they don't charge you to look at your car and give you an initial evaluation like most auto shops which could be $100-200 just to even look at your car. The recommendations that came back from my repair was on the high end in the worst case scenario, and that was absolutely on par with the dealership's service departments. However, they recommended the repair plan to start with the simple repairs and if that doesn't work go on to the further so overall my bill was much less than going to a branded Repair Shop. The repair ended up working right off the bat, at a much lower cost, and they treated me like I was a person. They spoke to me like I was a normal human being who didn't really know much about car maintenance and I greatly appreciate them talking to me at my level. Looking at the cars that were in there repair lot, it ranged anything from really old classical cars to really high end sports cars, and then every normal car in between. They clearly have a skill set that is suitable for All Makes and Models (dad pun). I can't recommend them enough, they're practical, down to earth, and they work with you to meet you at your level. If you ever need a repair the only thing they really don't do is body work I would absolutely check this place out.

I put in a diagnostic request for my mother in law's 2009 Kia Rondo. She doesn't have much money,…read moreso I was hoping to try and save her some money. I had to have a tow truck it to her address due to it not wanting to start in Park, I found out though that the shifter was very stiff as well and would only move when I used the bypass button. I couldn't get it to start but the tow truck driver showed me that it would start in neutral using the bypass switch and shift into gear but when in park it would still move. So, we didn't want to risk driving it to her house and so we had it towed. The tow truck driver said any mechanic should be able to fix that for you with no problem. So, I called Adkins that evening, and he diagnosed it the next day. He said, he tore the whole console apart, even tested the neutral safety switch but it was seized and couldn't be moved out of neutral. He told me it starts but will not shift. I was told the rod was welded internally within the transmission. I thanked him for his time and effort and he was paid by my mother in law. We'll, then myself and a friend came over and found the shifter was indeed froze in neutral, but after we re-tore the console back apart, and diagnosing it ourself we got it to shift. Took it to a transmission shop, who said this is not a transmission problem at all. We were told to take it to a mechanic and that it's either in the shifter itself or the cable, but definitely nothing to do with the transmission. The mechanic from Adkins confirmed over and over that he's torn many of these apart and he knows his stuff when it comes to vehicles. The question is, then why did he not diagnose the issue correctly and refer me to a transmission shop who then sent me back to a mechanic. I got the shifter out of neutral but he couldn't. He said he tested the neutral safety switch but it didn't look like it had been touched. I'm just saying, I will never trust this company to touch another vehicle of mine. Didn't seem to know as much as he claimed. Did not give a correct diagnosis and still took my mother in laws money. You decide what's right or if you would trust this mechanic.

I called to have my car towed to Canton Auto Repair at 3628 Cleveland Ave NW in Canton, Ohio 44709…read moreon Tuesday February 28, 2017 at 10:48 a.m. because my car needed repaired. Around noon this same day a tow truck driver came to pick up my car. At this time I was charged $53.25 that I paid with a credit card. The next day Wednesday March 1, 2017 at 8:56 a.m. I received a call from a man telling me that he did a thorough diagnostic of my car and there was a list of issues wrong with it. Here is the list and the estimate that I was given at the store. (This total is $30 more than I was originally quoted over the phone, the receptionist said someone must have miscalculated the tax when quoting me my price, I was told it would be $2544) Radiator $223.07 Alternator $219.96 Alternator Belt $22.07 Coolant Flush $99.95 Transmission Filter $20.60 Transmission Fluid 5x $8.10 = $40.50 Transmission Assembly Recycled - $988.00 Sealant for Transmission Pan - $7.75 Transmission Cooler Lines - $63.90 Upper Radiator Hose - $24.53 Lower Radiator Hose - $14.31 Labor to Remove and Replace all above listed parts 9.5x $70.00 = $665.00 Shop Supplies $25.00 Subtotal $2414.64 Sales TAX $156.95 Balance Due $2571.59 I told the man on the phone I would have to discuss this with my fiance' and that I would get back to him about whether or not to do the work. He told me we would need to put down at least fifty percent of the balance due in order to proceed with the repairs and I told him I would call him back. This same day Wednesday March 1, 2017 at approximately 11:00 a.m. , I went to Canton Auto Repair to put down part of the balance so that the work could be done. At this time I paid the following: $1300.00 MasterCard CC - PAID 3/1/17 $495.00 VISA CC - PAID 3/1/17 $160.00 Cash - PAID 3/1/17 Current Remaining Balance Due $616.59 During these transactions the man told me an estimated time that my car would be ready. He said by the end of the week or beginning of next week, as he was waiting to receive some parts that were needed to complete the repair. They said they would call me when the repairs were complete. The next time I received a call was on Thursday March 2, 2017 at 5:04 p.m. This was not the man I had been speaking to previously, this was someone else. (The other guy supposedly was working on cars and couldn't come to the phone.) He told me that in addition to the repair work quoted above there was additional work to be done. And now I was confused! But I figured okay if it's too much, I will just say no thanks and get a refund, just paying for the diagnostic. He proceeded to tell me that my battery was dead and wouldn't take a charge and also that in the morning when they got there, brake fluid had poured all over underneath my car, and now the brake lines would need replaced. He told me they had to push my car into the garage and so it sat overnight. The approximate total for these repairs were going to be an additional $500. At this time I was asking if I could get a refund and not do any of the work at all. All the repairs were going to be too much money so I apparently in my head I just need to junk my car. The man said they had already been working on the car all day long, (now realizing why I'm getting a call so late in the day!) So I asked why I hadn't be called immediately in the morning when they found out more repairs were going to need to be done! Obviously I was going to want a refund and say no thanks to any of the repairs. Why was I not told of these repairs originally when I was told of the diagnostic to begin with? I am extremely hurt and betrayed by this business' actions. I have never gone to an auto repair shop that just does work without telling you what else is wrong with the vehicle. The minute they find something else, they call me to tell me how much more it will be. And that way I have the CHOICE whether to use my hard earned money to fix the repairs or say no thank you! This is sickening! So now I am stuck between a rock and hard place. I would have told them NOT to do repairs on my car if they were honest from the beginning about what was actually wrong with my car. Instead I was purposely mislead and they worked on my car a for full day, instead of and before even thinking to call me to ask if I'd rather have a refund, or would I like to proceed with the work! This is literally the worst service I have ever experienced at an auto repair shop. I hope this never happens to anyone ever again!
