We have an undercoating warranty and brought the truck into this Lyell Ave location for an appointment made over a month ago to get the annual application. It took SEVEN HOURS. That is insane. It's an absolute blatant disregard for the customer and the value of their time. It also shows that these employees do not care at all how long it takes to do a job. This robs the company of getting in more customers, thus more revenue if their employees' work was done in a much more timely and conscientious manner. Disaster. I was told my car would have the undercoating, paint coating, interior coating, auto starter, and stereo completed in 1 day. This 1 day turned into 4 months and 7 additional visits. Their team did not communicate or keep track of anything that still needed to be done. Every time I went in there I would leave with more problems. I was ensured that ALL of my BRAND NEW CAR'S features would still work after the installation of the after-market head unit. List of things that went wrong: -Did not install correct head unit -Destroyed my original front speakers to install the new front speakers -Stained grease on seats of brand new car -Backup camera did not work -Auxiliary port did not work -USB port did not work -Radio antenna did not work -Screw cover on driver's door broken -Amp toggle not installed -Car auto starter box rattled underneath dash constantly -Front tweeters were run from head unit rather than speaker crossover = extreme distortion -Charged me for full amp installation even though I ran ALL wires to correct locations -Would not refund me for speakers & would not give me full packaging/grills for speakers -2nd head unit installed incorrectly: could not open DVD drive -In the end I got my own adapter for Auxiliary jack as they claimed there wasn't one Overall it was the most frustrating purchase I have ever made. I ended up selling the horrible front speakers they incorrectly installed, bought myself an amp, new speakers, and installed them myself with the help of Youtube. I would recommend either going to Bestbuy or Stereo Shop to have a stereo installed unless you want to risk dealing with endless problems. The sales rep who sold me the stereo had no idea what he was buying and did a horrible job keeping track of what needed to be done going forward after our first visit. I've been to the Ziebart on Lyell and in Henrietta. I had a remote starter installed here at the Lyell location where I can control the car from my smartphone. It took a few hours for the install but the waiting room was comfortable. The staff was friendly and didn't pressure me into any additional services. Would recommend Ziebart to anyone. read more

When I asked for help to check my Rhino bed liner they said " I can check on an issue that you have mentioned to me but I can not help you to evaluate your bedliner." I just left Ziebart on Lyell Ave in Rochester NY and am very disappointed with the service provided. I purchased a Groupon ($100 on a $299 internal and external detail) and made an appointment for today at noon. I was told I would be there for three hours, which I anticipated. After 4.5 hours I asked for a guess at how much longer and was told 20 minutes. After that time the technician said five more minutes. Needing to be somewhere at 5, the inspector brought me my keys, apologized, and I left. Upon getting into my car I was immediately frustrated with the work. Very poor quality of work. Ziebart on Lyell RD. The absolute WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER. They lost my key fob! Dropped the car Saturday 9/23/17 morning for annual service (trip one). Told car was done at 2:00PM Saturday afternoon. Showed up at 3:50PM to pick up car... NO KEY FOB! They looked , but nobody there was really worried about it. At 5:00PM closing no key fob. Was told to use my backup set at home. 6:30PM went back with spare fob for car - needed for work on Monday (trip three). I called them on 9/25/17 Monday at noon - "Hey did you find my FOB?" Uh yeah we have it here. Went Monday at 5:00PM (trip four). Here is your FOB. It was in another car scheduled to be here for the weekend. The reason: these things happen. No sorry, no apology, nobody who was responsible came out to say anything. They let the poor schlep salesman deal with me. No offer of gas money, car wash, nothing. I said give me your keys, address, and let me take off for a few days... Uh sure but I'll have to pay for cab fare to get home to get my other set of keys.... LIKE DUH! It's OK for me to run around and waste my time and money.... I like Ziebart products but honestly I wouldn't let this place handle my kids bicycle. Because, uh things happen. I recently purchased a 2020 Jeep. I took it to the Ziebart on Lyell Ave. for the rust proofing I purchased from my dealer. When I went to pick my Jeep up, there was overspray all over the entire vehicle including the windows. I complained about the condition of the vehicle. The sales rep directed my complaint to the application department. After about 1 hour they told me my Jeep was ready. Strike two, it looked even worse. The windows were cloudy and there was liquid debris from the undercoating inside every door including the rear hatch, car wax on the drivers seat and smears on the inside of the window. Back to the manager of this location. Strike three, a little better, but using window cleaner for everything, including the finish!!! OMG!! I asked them to please stop and that I would take it home and clean the Jeep myself. Throughout this whole time, I had been texting my Jeep salesman. He was apologizing about the entire experience. Once home, the sales rep from Ziebart called me and kindly offered to make things right. She was polite and kind. She offered service at another Ziebart location. I politely declined. I did not have a good experience with this company and here's why. I was quoted a price for a car starter and remote locks. The price was changed when I arrived at the location. The sales clerk was trying to sell additional services and trying to get me to sign up for a credit card. It just seemed like a greedy approach to siphon money out of customers. I was unimpressed. I was told it would be $100 per door on my 4 door car for remote locks after I arrived for my appointment. After 1 to 2 years. My remote locks do not lock my car doors. And I have had stuff stolen out of my car because of faulty locks. I am unsatisfied with the entire experience. And I would not recommend. read more

Lyell Ave location.Totally disgusted. Went to have electric start put in. Dealt with Tim Paige who talked me into undercoating and interior shampooing and diamond gloss. The inside was drenched, the undercoating was half assed and their diamo d coating caused the rear wheel wells to bubble. Tim calls me at 6:30pm to say all done. Its dark out. I call Monday to complain and get told to bring it in. Owner( I assume) who owns detailing shop looks at video and states I can't make out the lines of the body of your vehicle. (Hmmm, but you own a detailing shop) Proceeds to scrape and pop the bubbles removing the paint then says "I'm not responsible for this." $1200.00 for you to ruin my vehicle. If the owner doesn't know his job I can imagine that his employees know even less. 8 months I saved to give this as a 20th anniversary present. Thanks a lot Ziebart. Now I have to save another $1300.00 to fix your screwup. Will never recommend you to anyone for anything and wl be telling all about this horrible service. read more

If it wasn't for the maintenance package I putchased with my vehicle, l would not patronize the Lyelk Ave. location of this business. Next year for our annual maintenance I will try a location farther ftom my home and review the business there. In Sept. We had the annual cleaning, clear coat protectorant and window cleaning and maintenance done. The exterior cleaning was so poor I was requested to bring my vehicle back at my convenience to have a redo. Did so 1.5 months later, this time after wating 2.5 hrs., after being advised it would only be 45 minutes to 1 hr., they showed me my vehicle with yet another inferior job done. Then they only touched up the spots I pointed out, very difficult to see all missed areas. I had the plastic film on the hood of my previous car; something poked a tiny hole through it and the paint, and they repainted the hood for free (and the color matched!) I have been going to Ziebart since I purchased my car in 2008. I have no problem with the Ziebart coating, but when I had my car detailed there a couple yrs ago they broke a handle in the back for the storage compartment, now I have to keep something wedged in there so I can open it. Also the vacuumed two caps off my foot rest and they only found one to replace. I also don't like the fact that they try to sell you something you don't want. I dropped my vehicle off before they opened for a morning appointment to have the interior cleaned and outside washed. I was told by Tim this would take about 4 hours. Immediately the guy went into upsell mode. It seemed so desperate and low class. Later that day I got a call from another person thinking my car was ready early, but no, it was another call while I'm at work to upsell. No interested, what's your wife's number I'll give her a call and talk with her about it. Really?!? I was thinking this was the call to come pick up our vehicle. No, it was another upsell to remind us that they could sell me something although they hadn't started on my car yet. so eventually my wife got to pick our car up close to 5:30 or 6. The outside wasn't washed, the inside was soaked and wet.
