Beautiful spot for a picnic overlooking the Dry Creek region.

The only reason I have elected to give 4 stars, rather than 5 stars, is because the winery doesn't have wine for purchase. The winery only sells wine futures. You pay now (Summer 2015) and pickup next Spring 2016! While that may mean that they have phenomenonal wines, it still isn't the most practical setup. And, for a new customer, I have no way of knowing what the wine will taste like since they only offer tastings from the barrel with wine that hasn't fully matured. Other than the above, I have nothing bad to say about this winery. 1. Fair tasting fee amount ($10). 2. Tasting involves a fun experience (barrel tasting). 3. Friendly staff members. 4. Delicious wine. 5. Decently priced (red) wines....especially for wine club members. 6. Beautiful property.

One of the reasons that I recommend visiting Healdsburg over Napa is the laid back, friendly nature of the wineries. Zichichi is no exception. Not only did we taste a number of wines in the tasting room but we were also led back into the barrel room to taste wine straight from the barrel (an interesting experience, I highly suggest you try it!) I didn't love the wine that we tried in the tasting room but did enjoy some from the barrel and ordered a couple of bottles that will be ready in a year. I guess that'll give me an excuse to return to Healdsburg!

Absolutely stunning property in Dry Creek. The patio was absolutely stunning and I could sit out there all day drinking the fine wines produced here. Our wine educator was Amanda and she was friendly, professional, and let us know a lot about Zichichi and the way they make wine. We loved everything we tasted and will definitely take friends and family by to check out this gorgeous family owned winery!

Wine tasting #3 Did barrel tasting here. That was fun, never did that before and it was interesting to taste the wine straight from the barrel. We were brought into the barrel room and they had 3 barrels laid out for us to taste. Nice place to take some pictures. The winery itself is beautiful and had a nice tasting room. If you are in the area check this place out.

Another great spot in the Healdsburg region. You would be hard pressed to beat the views off of the back patio overlooking their plots, especially on a nice day. Zichichi also poured the best Zins we had on our trip, especially when you head into the back for their barrel tastings. had our pockets been a little deeper, we would have taken them up on a half case of futures. Come for the view, stay for the wine and enjoy the Zins

I don't normally drink wine but came for the olive oil and the experience and it did not disappoint! I also eventually changed my mind that red wine can be good:) We were seated indoors and Edd gave us the rundown of what we'd be tasting for the afternoon complete with stories and lots of fun facts. (I now look at any bottles that say "cold pressed" with some light skepticism since it's clearly only written there for marketing purposes!) We ordered a selection of the panini sandwiches, the burrata and butternut squash salad, and the charcuterie board. The fire cheese was delicious and the spread was perfect. Throughout lunch, Edd brought us different wines to taste and by the end we were most definitely sold on the Stone Soup (the red version). The olive oil tasting was so much fun. First of all the bread was so delicious. And then we tasted about 15 (?) different olive oils or vinegars. The raspberry, lemon, and garlic ones were clear favorites. My personal favorites were the garlic and sage. Even though it was a bit of a rainy & cloudy day, the views from the patio were beautiful. We finished our wine out by the fire pit outside, and now I really need to come back during the summertime when the skies are more clear for the full experience. I left with lots of olive oil and great Christmas gifts for the family. The four piece olive oil sets are perfect for that and I brought one home for my family and we did our own inspired mini taste testing (I still miss Trattore's bread tho). 10/10 recommend and yes I definitely want to come back for the summer views and this pizza oven I keep reading in all the other reviews:))

I showed up feeling like a mere mortal... by the time I left, I was a sommelier in spirit, draped in vineyard prestige and smelling of oak barrels. The Setting * The grounds are gorgeous. Rolling vineyards stretch out like green velvet, with immaculate landscaping, fountains, rose gardens--the sort of place you half‑expect a tuxedoed butler to walk you to your tasting table. * The architecture is elegant without being stuffy. Marble, wrought iron, white columns, and windows that let in golden light just so. Feels like you've stepped into a luxury retreat, but without all the pretentious "don't touch anything" signs. The Wine Experience * Tasting flights? Class act. They pour with confidence. Each wine tells its little story--bright citrus, hints of oak, berry whispering, a finish that lingers just long enough you start wondering if you should buy a case. * Knowledgeable staff who aren't snobby. They'll walk you through the differences between the Chardonnay and the Sauvignon, explain the barrel aging without talking over you, and even crack a joke or two about how wine pairs with late‑night pizza. Because, come on, late‑night pizza is life. The Fun Bits * Wandering the grounds is part of the charm: strolling labyrinths of vines, peeking into the wine cellar, chilling under olive trees, taking photos like you're pretending to be in a lifestyle magazine. * They've got nice spots to sit, sip 'n chat. Maybe even picnic (if they allow)--laying under the shade with a glass of something crisp and a cheese plate = pure contentment. * Bonus points if you catch golden hour there--sunset light turning everything warm and buttery, the vines glowing, your shadow long, your heart full. The One Tiny Caveat * For all its elegance, it can get popular and feel a little like a wedding venue at rush hour. If you want peace, go mid‑week or early morning. * Wine tasting isn't cheap here. But, dear god, is the ambiance and craftsmanship worth dipping into the wallet. Ferrari‑Carano isn't just a winery--it's what Instagram dreams are made of. It's class, nature, flavour, elegance, and fun. Would I go back? Absolutely. Would I bring someone that I want to impress? Double yes. Would I wear khaki pants and sip wine slowly, trying to sound like I know things about oak barrels and terroir? Maybe. Probably... Baby steps. So if you want to feel fancy for a day, drink wine that's basically poetry in a glass, and walk through vineyards pretending your name is "Baron Mikey de Grapevine"--go here.

May 6, 2025 - Cloverdale…read more This was our second visit to this winery, and it was just as lovely as our first visit. It's a family-owned winery, and very down to earth. Dog-friendly. Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by Tilley, a rescued Aussie Cattle Dog. I LOVE that they list her as one of the team members on their website. There is a large tasting room, and an outdoor covered patio on a terrace overlooking the vineyard with amazing views. Once we chose where we wanted to sit, our host, Christy, gave us a complementary taste of rose'. The tasting fee is $20 per person, waived with a two-bottle purchase. The tasting menu is mostly reds, but started with a Viognier. We were then offered the chance to try any white that they had open. Such a relaxing and, really, a perfect wine tasting experience. Christy is friendly and knowledgeable. And then Jim Rickards (owner) came over and talked to us for a while. He is very personable, and had some wonderful stories. We shared conversation with him for quite a while. We enjoyed all the wines. We bought the rose' and the merlot. Prices range from $30-$39 for the whites, and from $35-$63 for the reds.
