All of the meat is so well seasoned. I love the garlic toum and zhoug. I will not ever order from another Persian place in the city. Yalda clears them imo. And this is from a takeout perspective. I went in person with my parents. Whenever they come into town they requests the above mentioned restaurants. We decided to try Yalda. They prefer here over the others. Said the food is more flavorful, fresh. And that's coming from a Korean lady who is incredibly picky about where she eats in public. With that said, The Sandy Springs location is beautiful. Service was impeccable. Such friendly and attentive staff. Parking can be frustrating but I don't even care lol. Yalda ILY forever!

I came in before they closed but they still took wonderful care of me. They claim the chicken is hand slaughtered but I am not sure 100% as I haven't verified their vendor yet. Overall I will be coming regularly. The bathroom is also well maintained and was clean.

My husband asked the waiter which samosas he preferred since we couldn't decide. The beef samosas were good and quite filling. Two come with an order and they are large. The rice was wonderful. Lots of orange rind and almonds! The lamb was a little tough but delicious. The portions are very generous. I think this restaurant is more suited for dinner and am looking forward to coming back.

We also ordered the spicy mix kebabs , the milky dessert with tea, and mangu. The food was delicious, no complaints there at all. We loved the kebabs, the afghan rice, the bread, and the goat. We ended up ordering more rice because for us the portion was small since we were sharing. The service was slow and they were out of a few popular menu items. It wasn't packed but there were a couple of big tables already seated when we walked in. We never got the mangu and I had to find ways to distract myself since the food took a while to come. However, the servers were kind and apologized many times for the slowness. They even comped the extra rice for us. The ambiance was family friendly but I could see the place being a spot for adults to hang in the evening because there was open space. I think it would be a perfect venue for a small event. Definitely worth a try.

The interior is very mom and pop with soft lighting and old ceiling tiles but well maintained with an obvious attention to detail and care. There is limited seating inside; you've got long padded benches set in the walls and small tables. They seem ideal for parties of 4 or take-out. You can squeeze maybe one bigger party inside if you really want. I snagged a lamb sandwich on recommendation; it comed your choice of a chopped salad, cup of soup, or rice. I ended up going with the soup of the day which is a curry chickpea. The lamb sandwich was a definite winner. There's a lot of care and that same attention to detail to constructing it. There was a 15ish minute wait but perfectly acceptable since it all came out fresh. The lamb slices were super juicy and flavorful and the sauce added that extra spicy but not too spicy kick that went well with the softness of the pita and the crunch of the fresh lettuce. The soup was piping hot so I had to wait a few minutes to let it cool but flavorful and smooth. I'd gotten it as a potential dip but the sandwich did'nt need it so I'd probably go with the chopped salad next time. Overall, Cafe Sababa does a lot of what I enjoy in Mediterranean. I'd definitely stop in again and try out more items on their menu if I was in the area. A very good first impression.

So I went back up to the cashier and ran my card again. However, there was a mix-up and I had been confused with another customer. Long story short, I was charged TWICE for my meal because of a screw-up. The manager on duty told me I would be refunded within a few business days (he never apologized for the mix-up or the inconvenience). I've called twice in the last two weeks, and I have still not been refunded. They sent me a refund receipt at one point, but they apparently refunded the wrong card. I've always enjoyed the food here, but the management is just awful. They made a mistake, took over $35 from me, did not apologize, and did not follow-through as promised. I can't believe I had to keep calling and tracking this down. It's baffling to me that you can run a business with this kind of service. I'm sorry, but you've lost a loyal customer.

This is just a small, unassuming barbeque spot near us!…read more We ordered a large brisket plate with Mac n cheese & fried okra & 1 lbs of wings (half teriyaki & half lemon pepper) for under $40 which felt like a great deal! My husband, baby and I could've had just the brisket plate and been full without leftovers but with the wings we had lunch for one person It's counter service but they'll bring anything that isn't done immediately to your table They have just a few coke products but they serve beer too and they have banana pudding for dessert There were only a few tables in when we came but mostly seems to be a takeout spot. The brisket was tender & flavorful & we enjoyed it. The Mac n cheese had tons of cheese and my baby liked it The fried okra were cooked perfectly so we devoured those And the wings had a great texture freshly cooked & flavor was interesting but a little too salty for me. We really liked them with the spicy bbq sauce though! This place is pretty close to us so we'll definitely be back and glad we tried their food! They were all super friendly so check them out with plenty of parking in the shared lot
