Okay ladies (and gents-if you're into this kind of thing) you really need to check out this threading salon. For those of you who don't know what it is, threading is a subsitution for waxing your eyebrows. To be completely honest, it's a bit more painful, but looks MUCH better. Anyway, the ladies that work at this salon are great. $7.95 for eyebrows is a great deal! Plus, they all really know what they're doing. LOVE this place. I have crazy annoying eyebrows and Zia is the best. She did a great shape a while back and now I don't mind going to other people to just kind of keep them in check. It's not more painful than waxing and way better for your skin so head over! A huge plus is the price. $8 for eyebrows is a bargain. And there's a punch card so you get the 11th one free and like half off the 6th one. Can't beat that! I usually tip $4 to kind of compensate for the lower price of the service. been coming here for some time but only cause it's the closest threading salon from my house. they've messed up my eyebrows twice already when i clearly said "just a clean up." they were not the same shape and one had an arch higher than the other. also, some employees there just give off a rude vibe. they don't listen when you tell them what you want done on your brows and dont even let me finish off my sentence and just get right to it. they ALWAYS seem like they're in a hurry, busy or not. now i'm more than willing to go a few extra miles just to avoid this place read more

Came here at noon on a sunday...there was a little bit of a wait. when i walked in, i felt awkward because it was silent in the shop (no music no nothing) just 3 ladies working & a bunch of customers in there playing with their cell phones...perhaps to avoid the awkward silence of sitting there and watching. they need to get magazines or some type of distracting or else its just the customers staring at the people in the chairs getting their eye brows done. I was not greeted when I walked in, so i just put my name on the sign-in sheet and sat down and waited my turn (so unwelcoming). The lady who did my eye brows was very rude. she was not very attentive & kept talking to the other ladies in her native language. she talked to me in a rude tone, "hold your hair back", "no you are holding it in the wrong spot!", "do you want rosemary oil..is that a yes or no??"...it was very condescending. when she was finished doing my eyebrows,they looked ok. I've had better. It was good, but not great. ended up paying $8 which was pretty standard, didn't leave a tip. i would have if the lady did a phenomenal job...or if she were more attentive. Went to Zia's Threading for the first and last time today! I went to the reception desk where an older lady was sitting and I had to speak first, she did not acknowledge me until I spoke to her. She then walked away from the reception desk without asking me what I needed and began working on a customer. I stood there for about two minutes when she finally looked my way and said "Do you need something?" I told her what I needed done and asked the price. After hearing the price, I nodded my head in agreement. She then pointed to the sign up list and said very curtly, "Then put that on the list and wait your turn." I was stunned to be treated this way as a customer especially a new one. I sat down for a moment thinking it was my imagination until someone who spoke her language walked through the door. She stopped what she was doing to hug this person. I have never been made to feel that unwelcome in a local business and I have lived in the Saddleback Valley for almost 30 years! I then got up and left and went to Henna Threading and Beauty on Lake Forest Drive and Trabuco in Lake Forest. Two people greeted me upon walking through the door, what a difference! I just got my eye brows done by Noreen and she was so sweet. She took her time and explained to me what she was going to do before she did it. I had previously gone to Ziba in Costa Mesa and they ruined my brows and made them so thin. Noreen really made my brows look great!! I'm still in the process of growing them back out from the terrible job Ziba did, but I'm very pleased with how Noreen fixed them. I will recommend this place to everyone! I started going here mainly because it was close to my work and also because a friend suggested it. It wasn't busy at all, they sat me down right away and I had Deepa work on me...She is AMAZING!!! Very Precise, very knowledgeable. She talks you through the whole process and tells you what she's doing and why she's doing it. I loved the way she shaped my eyebrows. Ensured the "Bride-To-Be" - "they'll have me done in 5-10 minutes" (b/c that's how quick the San Clemente location takes w/ me for the past 2 years). But this Laguna Woods location had 6 women waiting (with only 2 employees) so I put my name on the waitlist. They continued take the other gals - no problem. Problem was when THEY SKIPPED ME 4X w/ other customers that came after me. I figured maybe they had appointments? So I checked the waitlist & noticed all the names before & after me where crossed off, so I mentioned I may have been skipped. After almost an hour long wait they finally took me & rushed me through & did a horrible job. I ended up being late to the bachelorette dinner (& I'm a bridesmaid in the wedding, so you can imagine the pressure & stress) & I was upset that they did not offer to accommodate or compensate me appropriately. They used to do a good job and now everytime I go there, my eyebrows become two different shapes and they mess it up. Especially with the new people, if you decide to go here, your best bet is with Mina or arezou. Everyone else is horrible. $13 for eyebrow and upper lip + bad customer service. Walked in the store and there were two ladies chatting with each other (one old and one young). Neither of them greeted me, the older lady at the counter pointed me to a chair as I walked up to sign in. A younger girl walked up to me and started threading my eyebrows. No greeting, no introduction, no asking about what I want my eyebrows to look like. I had to stop her a few seconds in and tell her I didn't want my eyebrows to look thin, just a clean up. Midway through the threading she starts taking with another associate. I did NOT feel comfortable with her talking and threading at the same time. She was standing over me at close proximity to my face and I could feel saliva droplets on my forehead. Gross and unprofessional!! I gave a 2 star rating because she didn't botch my eyebrows. I was satisfied with the shape and painless threading process. Don't think I'd return, don't want to get slobbered on. read more

They're always way to thin never even .she only took about 2 minute to do my eyebrow . she don't ask how's your eye brow too. When I give her tip she look at me with her angry face . I walked in 15 minutes before closing and just wanted a simple eyebrow clean up. They said they were closed. It was not even 6 yet. If you want to clean up and leave by 6 then you need to post on your sign that you close at 5:45. Otherwise you should be accepting anyone that walks in through that door before 6! read more

I am with this store for my service for so long . I really like Zia thearding.I like every one service here but I was there on Saturday who did my eyebrows one side is way thicker than the other,it's such a bummer . I can't believe I have to start again . This girl didn't know what she was doing?she doesn't speak English well . I asked her she answers me only I know, yes I know she answers own language too . I was Christmas shopping at Laguna Hills Mall this evening with my sister, thinking about how I was going to possibly find time to get my eyebrows and lip waxed before Christmas when we walked past Zia Threading. My sister had recently gotten her eyebrows threaded for the 1st time and told me that I had to try it. I have incredibly sensitive skin and always break out in hives and turn bright red after waxing, but it's one of those things that I just deal with, because, unfortunately I have dark lip hair and eyebrows. So I had no idea what to expect when I sat down in that chair and I was a little confused at first. But it was actually a really pleasant experience. It wasn't much more painful than waxing, it lasted longer, but I didn't have to deal with the allergic reactions that I always get, which was worth so much. She was done threading both my lip and eyebrows in less than 10 minutes. She finished me off with a little rosewater, which smelled awesome and helped cool my skin. It was quick and easy and super affordable. I think I paid $5 for each! I heard they are moving to Irvine, which is awesome, because that is where I live, so I will definitely be returning in the future. I don't think I'll ever wax again. read more

The person working on me seemed kind of bitter that everyone was waiting for a specific person, and she was taking all the walk-ins.. She was very rough with me - I had never experienced such rough threading. And she was in a rush, so she was going extra fast. I've been coming here to get my eyebrows down for over a year and I always leave satisfied. I come just to get my eyebrows cleaned up and that's all they ever do, they never over thread or trim too much. You have the option of picking which employee you want to do your threading but with any of them, you're going to get a quality threading. I am so happy to see that they have a new location! They were previously in the Laguna Hills Mall. Every time I've been in there, I am given a warm greeting, attentive service and beautiful results on my brows...and the price can't be beat. If you normally have your brows waxed, try threading instead. It hurts much less and there is little redness and none of those yucky bumps. read more

I walked in less than 10 minutes before they closed and they happily took me anyways. The lady took her time and didn't rush at all. They do a good job, but to me, it depends on who you get. I really like Anu and she does a very good job for me. The only complaint I have is that sometimes they talk to customers for too long and don't pay attention to the fact that people are waiting for them. They need to make sure they consider customer time, and not spend so much time socializing. read more

i absolutely love this place. ive been threading for about 6 years now and used to go to another lady who charged 20 dollars for eyebrows. ...zia charges 8, and in addition, i think my eyebrows end up looking amazing. ive always had issues with how my eyebrows turn out, and since they shape my face, it can be a great ordeal to find a good place that does them right, but zia's definitely does. my favorites are zia herself and negar. they are both really great at what they do. zia is working most of the time, and negar works on sundays. they listen to you, and do what you want. they never take off ridiculous amounts of hair, but do what they think is good, and then ask you to take a look and make sure you like it. if you dont, dont be shy or afraid to say.."actually, could you just fix this a bit?"..they are more than glad to. (most of the time, i never have to ask them to change anything). theyre super nice, always making my experience a fun one, and i get out feeling very satisfied with how my eyebrows look. ive been going for over a year now, and have never been disappointed. you can either make an appt, (make sure if you want someone specific, they are there on that specific day), or you can just walk in. usually when i arrive, there are about 2-3 people on average waiting (ive never seen more than 3). the whole process takes about 10 min (for eyebrows), and usually there are 2-3 people working simultaneously. read more
