I chose Amazing Lash Studio in Ladera Ranch because their website clearly advertises 50% off a classic full set for new clients. Based on that promotion, I booked my appointment expecting that pricing to apply. Instead, I was charged $145 plus tip, which felt like a bait-and-switch given how prominently the 50% offer is displayed online. The rep at the register said a full set is normally $290?! That makes zero sense. More concerning was the quality of the service. The technician appeared very new, and unfortunately the results reflected that. The outer corners were not completed, and lashes began falling out on day one. I was also charged for a "volume refill" add-on, which does not make sense given the incomplete application. After reading other reviews, I realized I wasn't the only client who picked up on what appears to be under-trained staff performing services at full price. If clients are being used as training models, that should be clearly disclosed upfront and priced accordingly. A simple solution would be a tiered pricing model: * Master Lash Artists - Premium pricing * Senior Stylists - Mid-tier * Junior/Training Artists - Discounted model pricing Transparency builds trust. Charging full price for training-level work does not. It's also incredibly difficult to reach management. There is no clear email contact for the Ladera Ranch location on the website, and attempts to escalate concerns are routed through generic channels. That adds to the frustration. read more

I had my lashes done two weeks ago. The girl that did mine lumped up the glue on the lash line and my eye got infected! I called right away to have them removed, no response! I had my friends lash girl remove them. I called two times, went in and still no response on a refund! This is the worst customer service that I have ever seen! Five days ago, I had an appointment. I have sensitive eyes, and I told them to use glue for sensitive eyes, but I think they used the wrong one. Now, my eyes are very itchy, and I started losing my eyelashes in less than a week. My eyelashes are also flaking near the eyelid. Im really sad about that happened to me Thank you for your response. I'm genuinely surprised by your message, especially the suggestion that I was trying to receive services for free -- that was never my intention. I paid for my appointments each time and have never requested anything complimentary. While I have previously been happy with the service and have appreciated the use of sensitive glue, my most recent experience did not meet the expectations I've come to rely on as a returning client. As a paying customer, I believe it's reasonable to expect consistency and care, especially when there's a concern with the service provided. I understand that not every appointment is perfect, but I also believe it's the responsibility of the business to address client concerns professionally, rather than labeling them as attempts at "blackmail." My review was an honest reflection of my experience, not a tactic to get anything for free. That being said, there was clearly an error in the service I received, and it needs to be addressed -- no matter what. When it comes to potential health concerns, it's not something that can be dismissed or ignored. As a business working so closely with clients' eyes and skin, ensuring safety and taking responsibility when something goes wrong should always be the top priority. I will not be returning, and I'm sharing my experience for the benefit of future clients. read more

Update: I did a follow up call and spoke to the manager who was very empathetic and had great customer service. She said that that being a model doesn't promise that they would be done perfectly as it is a training process, she offered that I come back to get another set. read more

first red flag should have been the scheduling issue when the texted me prior to my appointment asking me to change the time, at first it was all good, but my later experience was nothing short of a let down especially on mother's day where i was hoping to walk out of there beautiful.. walking in the front desk staff seems nice, as i waited for my lash tech to come out, she seemed unappeased to do my lashes and was very flat to be honest, i showed her a picture of what i wanted, she took one glance and said ok! it took about 2 hours for my lashes to be done, and i was upset immediately when i saw them, i said thank you and went to pay because i just couldn't even bear to be in there any longer, the front desk staff had a hard time even figuring out the system to pay for my service.. i'll be calling tomorrow to talk to a manager it's not even 6 hours later and my lashes are already falling out. read more

Update to review. In my original review there is a comment from the studio asking to please call to get the issue resolved. I followed those instructions and once again asked for the manager to connect with me. They did not bother to call me back. Ignored again! I want to say I am shocked but figured as much. Here is a copy of the original review. Terrible Experience Unfortunately. I had a brow service with Emily. First time doing a lamination and let Emily know that this was my first lamination. She offered for me to come into the studio to review my brows and let me know if I am a good candidate and what to expect. She was very nice and seemed knowledgeable. All great so far. She let me know that I was a good candidate and showed me in the mirror what the results would look like. Well, the lamination was unfortunately a wreck. I followed all the instructions exactly as recommended but I noticed within a few days the hairs were going in different directions. Kind of like bed head but on the brows. I would brush them with castor oil as recommended and they would start to tame slightly but within an hour the hair was going in all directions again and was untamable when out and about. Honestly, I felt embarrassed because I looked like such a mess in public. I called the Lash studio and Emily was helpful with trying to make things right. She offered after the first week to redo them after the solution wore off at no cost. This seemed very nice. I understand that everyone's hair must take differently. Though by week three my eyebrows became even more unmanageable and not tamable. I called back the Lash studio and Emily explained that she would use a stronger solution because my eyebrow hair is stubborn. Which I do think that my eyebrows can be a bit stubborn. I use the Anastasia Brow Freeze and it takes a few rounds to get them to really hold but I figured a professional lamination would at least keep them in the same direction. I told Emily that I'm nervous that if the next lamination didn't work I would have to walk around for another month plus with eyebrows that look like I stuck my finger in a socket. She understood and I asked for a refund instead. She stated her manager would connect with me to move forward with a refund. I did not hear back from the manager. I was having trouble with my VM so I called the lash studio a few times to see if anyone connected but it did not seem that was the case. The woman at the front desk did take the time to speak with the manager, who did not call me herself but just simply relayed the message that we don't offer refunds. Please come back for another visit. Wow! Completely dismissive of what is going on. I told the front desk person that when things go hay wire in any business they should try to make it right and that just dismissing my needs are unacceptable. Please go back and speak with her again and let me know what the next step will be regarding a refund. Since that conversation, no phone call, text message or anything. I told them that I wanted to try and work this out internally but I guess the manager just doesn't care. So this is my terrible experience. read more

Alyssa absolutely slayed my lashes!! She made me feel so comfortable the entire time & was fully focused on getting the lashes right. I asked for a classic set since I have deep set eyes & they turned out so pretty and fluffy & matched my eye shape well. I've had lash services in the past and moved to amazing lash to support a local business in Ladera. It was just a simple lash lift and I got a horrible infection. I would not wish this on anyone. I had to have eye surgery to remove an eye stye infection. It was terrible. I just wanted to have a conversation with the manager as I'm sure I signed something that said I was fully responsible. She called me once and would never give me her number to call and have a conversation.
