I ordered the chicken schwarma salad the chicken was really burnt on a many of the pieces and some pieces still had fat on them after picking out the burnt pieces and removing the extra fat from other pieces I was able to eat my salad but more than half the chicken had to be thrown away since it was burnt. They have a new system at the drive through where it automatically tipped 2 dollars, I do not mind tipping but I don't remember the screen even asking if I wanted to or not as an option. I've eaten at regular Zeus many times and really enjoyed it. I have to say I really didn't enjoy my combo plate from Zeus Express as the serving size seemed quite small and tiny when compared to other Middle Eastern food experiences I've had including Zeus itself. Perhaps I just ended up with bad luck on an off night or something but I wasn't very happy with the small portion size of my meal after paying the price I paid. This seemed to be a Zeus location like the others in town but the "express" part maybe changes how they do things here? The service was fast with taking my order while the delivery of my order was an above average amount of time as well. I ate my meal inside and didn't even get it to go but it was packaged like it was to go so maybe that is the deal with this location as perhaps they focus mainly on carryout food? I've been going to Zeus's for years. But I went yesterday, Sept 4, 2024 and ordered the Chicken Shawarma salad and an iced tea. It cost $17.99. That was before the $2 obligatory tip. The salad was fine but it is just iceberg lettuce, chicken shawarma, three olives, with dressing and a piece of pita bread. That's it. Zeus is a great spot to get your gyro fix. They stay busy, all the times I've gone. They are not stingy at all with the amount of meat they give. Ive tried both the gyro wrap and the spicy gyro wrap. As much as I like spicy, I did enjoy the traditional gyro wrap instead. The spicy gyro wrap comes with a spicy olive mix, and it's wrapped in a tortilla and grilled. Interesting. Overall, not too bad pricing and you can get your gyro fix. When I get the wrap combo, it comes with a side salad and hummus with one pita. I can never finish it all. We always love the food but this experience was very awkward to say the least. One of the girls working behind the counter was using very foul language and was speaking so loudly that we could hear every word, even sitting in the very back of the restaurant. We found out way too much about her personal life and we found it very difficult to focus on our own own convos because of how loud she was. Mediterranean fast food--what a delicious concept! We swung through this drive-thru to pick up a combo plate (combination gyro meat and chicken schawarma) that came with hummus, feta salad, pita bread and a drink, an order of meatless grape leaves and an order of the spinach pies. They were very prompt in preparing our order. Total came to about $18. So the chicken schawarma meat was decent, not the best I've had. Gyro meat was pretty tasty though. They were very generous with the tzatziki sauce in our order...it was very thick and full of herbs. The hummus was great, the salad was delicious and the pita bread was standard--not really super soft or fluffy, but what do you expect for fast food? The spinach pies were steaming hot and really tasty. Very crisp and the filling was just so delicious, chock full of spinach, feta cheese and most likely lemon. Speaking of lemon, we ordered the Lebanese tea (didn't see it on the menu but they said they were out of sweet tea and could offer unsweetened or Lebanese tea) and it was very refreshing with a lemony twist. I usually get the chicken Gyro or the chicken swarmer (dictation can't spell) salad and both are always good and the girls behind the counter are friendly to me. I love Zeus's food, especially the chicken Arabie sandwhich. But I have noticed that there is ZERO consistency between different locations. The one on pinhook serves the best food (ULL is pretty darn good too), but they can't fulfill a to go order to save their lives. Every single time I make sure I wait the 15 minutes they claim to need and yet I still wait about 10 minutes inside. One time they didn't even have a record of the order! But today, my beef is with the to go location (ie because I didn't want to wait inside for 10 minutes sitting in sweaty gym clothes). While tasty and hot, I noticed that the chicken arabie sandwich is about 2/3 or less of the size of the one at the pinhook location. Don't serve me less and charge me the same! "Tess" said we ordered wrong, saying "sub rice/sub salad/sub hummus" was too many buttons and it made it difficult for her. she punched her fist into her hand and said she "hated with a passion when people ordered that way" and i even have a video of her complaining of another costumer to us, like hardcore talking shit about her. Then her and the cook were screaming at each other. and then she told the person in the car behind us to "wait and slow down" while she was taking their order on the intercom. she even asked us three times how we wanted it AND STILL MESSED IT UP. we ended up going to Zeus on Pinhook and they happily fixed the other locations mistakes. disgusting how ungrateful and rude someone is during this hard time on our economy. Ordered a chicken arabie sandwich today for my husband. Decided to taste it and immediately had to spit it out, It was a nasty sour taste! My husband then tried just to make sure and had the same reaction. Called the restaurant and explained the situation and the girl's exact response was "Oh, that was definitely the garlic mayo sauce". She was saying it like they already knew it was bad but they still served it. No apologies or anything. Told her I would return to the restaurant for a refund and she said ok. Drove back 12 miles to get to the restaurant and she tells me that I can't get a refund without the receipt (even though on the phone she told me I could) After arguing back and forth and me asking for the manager, I finally got my money back.
