This is the where I go in Lafayette when I want healthy Lebanese food and not go to the "gas station" locations. (More choices!) They handled a very large "to go" order For eight people upon opening on a Sunday. (All the other Zeus's are closed on Sunday). You are expected to order at the counter but you can eat in. They also have a drive-through window which does a lot of business according to the staff. Friendly and accommodating staff made the weight worthwhile with the complementary drink from the soda fountain. The flavors continue to be exceptional. Great $ value for healthy food! read more

I often forget how much we enjoy this place! It had been a while but we had lunch here and it didn't disappoint. We had the vegetarian grspe leaves and shared the Gyro Combination Plate with their special versions of Baba Ganoush, their Zeus Ganoush. I eat a lot of Middle Eastern and Greek food and this is certainly some of the best and most flavorful I've had in Louisiana. They really have some great dishes and even just their rice has a fantastic flavor. When you've had your maximum intake of awesome Cajun food and need a change of pace then this is a good option. We ate here last Friday night and it was delicious! We wanted to try a few things, so we ordered a bunch of appetizers instead of entrees. The appetizer sampler was really good, and actually came with more things than were listed on the menu. The hummus was delicious. We also had fried kubbi, and fried cheese, which was the best I've ever had. Desert was baklava... Yum... The belly dancer was fun and we definitely needed the Lebanese coffee to perk us up enough to make it out the door after all that food. read more

It's really hard to write a single review of Zeus Cafe. All the locations are very different, and I've had good and bad experiences at all of them. I have to say, before ZUes started openeing up all over town, the food was amazing.... but really went south after all of the new locations opened up..... I don't know if all the good cooks were spread thin.... but food quality was definitely sacrificed for expansion..... I think the location by Charley G's is by far the best... but the take out versions really serve marginal food compared to the restaurants.... Ya'll were doing such a great job before.... you shouldnt have spread yourself so thin..... I mean how many Zues's does one city need??? You have restaurants that are leass than 3 miles apart.... A good place for Greek food in Lafayette. I am always seeking out a good gyro. I got a combo with gyro and chicken shaworma. It came with Tzatziki and Hummus and a fried something with ground beef inside. Very delicious. Chicken was on the dry side. There was a belly dancer there on Friday night. I hear there are a few of these in town. This must be one of the less popular ones because there were very few people in there. read more

It's hard to say who has the best Greek/Middle Eastern restaurant in Lafayette, but Zeus is the standard. They have consistent quality among their various locations, and rarely disappoint. If you are looking for humus, gyros or their unique seafood recipes, stop on by. The owners are fun-loving and friendly, and on weekends, they'll sometimes have belly dancers perform. This is some of the worst Greek food I've ever had. I couldn't help but think that the Greek food I've had in any mall in America was better than this. The hummus has no flavor and is the consistency of paste. The Mediterranean Dip is a nice accent to a sandwich, but should never be served as a dip with pita as it was. The spinach pie is OK, but the highlight is the phyllo dough as opposed to the contents. The meat pie is sweet, like sugar sweet, not like "Sweet! I'm eating a meat pie.". Never order it. The chicken schwarma is dry and not overly flavorful, but wasn't near as terrible as the hummus or meat pie. The one thing I will say is the pita is terrific, they just didn't have anything I was excited to put on it. The facility isn't nice and the food is definitely overpriced. To make matters worse, the iced tea is not brewed, it's a Gold Peak dispenser. We wanted to try it because I usually love locally owned restaurants as opposed to chains, but this is one to skip. read more

I wanted to like Zeus Cafe, and I was seriously disappointed. I ordered the eggplant royal ("Our award winning eggplant stuffed with...) If this dish won an award, they must have had different cooks than when I was there. The eggplant itself was seriously undercooked, while the stuffing was over cooked just short of being burnt. I suspect that they took it out of the cooler and stuck it under a hot broiler... scorching the top and leaving the bottom almost raw. I was also very disappointed in the hummus. So bland, no oil, no garlic... who makes bland hummus. If this was my first experience with hummus, I would never order it again. The only part of the meal that was not plain awful was the salad.. Nice greek salad, no complaints but certainly not excellent enough to get me back to Zeus. I hope they can find some cooks who know what they are doing. I read more

Stopped in for late evening take-out and got a sampling of foods since this was my first time at Zeus. Gyro, spinach pie, kibi, hummus, the usual. The food was quickly delivered and the staff was very friendly, even visited with me briefly as I waited as there was only one table of folks left dining. However, the manager came out mid conversation and jumped all over the waitress right in front of me. Awkward!!! How unprofessional and RUDE, not to mention embarrassing for her. Recently decided to try Zeus for the first time for lunch. Arrived at 11:20 AM and was told to come back in 10 minutes as no food was ready. Did so and returned. The menu looked very appealing, however; the first four items I ordered were unavailable. I asked why are they on the menu and was told all locations use same menu but not all have same items. I asked if a menu was available of what choices were available and was told no, just look and see. Rather than argue or continue to be frustrated, I simply left. I then visited the company website, shared my comments and concerns and asked for a reply or solution, advising them that if they choose not to respond I will post a negative review. Seems the owners do not care, so here is the review. Zeus has an appealing menu but the items are not available, the staff is unhelpful and ownership/management does not care.
