I have used ZeroRez at least 3 times to clean my carpet. I will only use ZeroRez. Their customer service is always very professional, they are on time, do the job quickly and most importantly the carpets are clean and stay that way. They will suggest or let you know about additional services or treatments but there is never any pressure to do so. and, they always give you helpful tips. read more

I have used Zerorez since we moved into our home in 2006. We put in high quality carpeting and I was determined to find a company that did not use soaps or chemicals. I have used them and only them ever since. I had one bad experience a few years ago where they talked me into cleaning a large area of tiles and it not only didn't change the color of the grout, but also caused some of it to come out. They tried to repair, but ultimately left us with the product to do it ourselves, which hasn't worked so well. Other than that, all of my experiences with them have been very good. In the last two years, Bert has been the one to clean our carpets and he is excellent. For carpet and upholstery cleaning, there isn't another company out there that I would trust! read more

Set up an appointment for an estimate, since other reviewers have talked about price inflation after services rendered. (ZeroRez apparently gets you in the door at the "special" price, but then adds lots of hidden fees). So I scheduled an estimate. "Nick" confirmed via email AND voicemail that a specific two hour window was scheduled for a service guy to come and give an estimate. I waited during the time window, and even had furniture moved for the estimate (that I moved myself). NO SHOW. NO CALL. Just a flat out no show. Then a half hour later I get a call from the technician on the road, "Oh, sorry, I'm late, I can be there soon though." Sorry zerorez, I am a busy parent, and you did not keep an appointment. I emailed Nick back and told him no one showed up for my scheduled and confirmed appointment. Two emails to them later, STILL NO WORD or appology from Nick or zerorez. they never reached out to me to make it right. Watch out folks! Not a dependable company, and I'll bet the price inflation claims are also true. Zero stars for zerorez. read more

Tech called 30 mins before arriving, was well within the scheduled time window, no strange/chemically smells, managed to get some heavy stains out (rental property), quite expensive though...$140 for 2 rooms and a very small mud room. They quoted me $335 for my house which would have been 4 rooms, a hallway and stairs, and that price *included* a buy 3 rooms get 1 free discount, otherwise would have been nearly $400. Yikes...Stanley Steamer is usually $250 for same job. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. WORST customer service ever. I scheduled a 3-5 appointment for December 31, 2015. I received a call from John at 8 in the morning they were on the way. When I told John he was supposed to come between 3-5 I was I could call and RESCHEDULE if I wanted but that the price I was getting would not be guaranteed at a later date. I told him I did not want to reschedule, I just wanted them to come when they said they would. I had to call the office and sure enough they had me down from 3-5 but they didn't have a cleaner scheduled for me and would need to find one. They did send someone at the scheduled time and he did what appeared to be an adequate job. He told me to be sure to fill out the survey I would be receiving describing my morning issue and I would probably get a discount for a future service. I filled out the survey; they did not respond at all. I also noticed after they left that my entry way (gold) rug appeared stained. As that is where they put their dirty water tank, I was hoping it was just wet and would dry clean. No. The next day it was still stained. I took photos and emailed them to customer service. They did not follow up. I never heard from them until this week (15 months later) when I got a cleaning reminder. I wrote asking why would I want that as I am still waiting to hear on my two issues from December 2015. Didn't hear. I wrote again. They wrote back saying they needed to look in to it. I sent another reminder. They responded that they had no evidence of anything I said. I sent them the emails from 2015/2016. They still didn't believe me. I asked that my email be forwarded to the franchise owner. They refused. I called and asked to be connected to the franchise owner. I was told he wasn't in and although they couldn't give me direct contact information they would have the owner contact me. That was days ago. I still haven't heard from either owner who the web has listed as Jason and Shane Karren. Bottom line, if you have a totally open schedule and are willing to clean up after a cleaning company, go ahead and hire these guys. If you expect "service" keep far far away. read more

Two stars for the tech who came out and was said to be very friendly. Losing stars when the price jumped from $200 to $370!!! This is my third time using this company and the price seems to go up, but my house size hasn't! Not to mention, right after the carpets got cleaned, an hour later a lady came to demonstrate a Kirby carpet cleaner and they pulled up TONS of dirt. I have not scheduled an appointment with this service because I couldn't get past the website. It says a $150 minimum was required to even book the appointment (even though the special was $129 for 3 rooms...so there wasnt even a way to purchase the special without buying more stuff!) Finally, I was able to "graduate" to the next ordering step, only by buying almost $75 of unnecessary things I didn't need. So i didn't book it....not a good first impression. read more

Also, they counted my 15 x 12 family room as 2 rooms (even though there is a large area in the middle of the room that was not cleaned because it has an area rug and heavy coffee table so the carpet underneath did not need to be cleaned.) I had mihi chemdry refuse to clean my 4 year old carpet and told me to replace it; I have used them in the past and will never do so again. THese guys were great. Did a walk through and were clear about what they could do for the advertised price. I added a $60 treatment for pets that treated my whole living-dining area where chemdry had quoted $25-50 for each possible stain area. Place smells great. I don't have to vacuum again as you do with chemdry. And I am pleased as can be. read more

Zerorez cleaned our carpets and I am very happy with the results. The estimate they gave over the phone was pretty acurate. I added on our basement as well as stairs and they gave me a detailed account of the extra cost. They didn't charge me for two small area rugs that I had forgotten about and asked them to do. The two gentleman who came to my house were professional and friendly, not always the case with other rug cleaning companies. I like the steam cleaning. My rugs hadn't been cleaned in about 5 years, they were pretty bad and Zerorez made them look like new. They even got out an old red modeling paint stain that another rug cleaning company couldn't get out. It feels good to walk on without all that soap residue. I am very pleased! read more

This is the first time we used Zerorez and we were impressed with the results. The company called us two days before to confirm our appointment and the tech called us about 30 minutes before his arrival. When he arrived he worked quickly and efficiently, cleaning 2 rooms and 14 stairs. The carpet haven't looked this good in years. 2nd time with Zerorez and just thrilled with the results! The house we live in has had many renters with dogs and the carpets were cleaned just before we moved in (Dec 2012) from another company. Days later the urine stains were back. We called Zerorez a couple of months later. The technician pulled out his black light and it showed over 50 hidden spots! Since the carpet is old and needs to be replaced, we opted for a cleaning without the optional pet spot application. The carpets came out beautifully clean and no spots came back at all. Yesterday had another cleaning and it's totally dry this morning! Will call back soon for the next round upstairs (stairs and more urine stains). I definitely recommend Zerorez! read more

I like the business model and had a great experience with them. I booked online, they called to confirm, then the tech (Hayden) called 30 minutes before he arrived. I originally booked the $119 3/room special (the hook), but knew I would add on. I haven't heard if it's true of Zerorez, but other carpet companies have told me it benefits the tech if you don't book it all in the call, but wait to give the tech extra jobs so he earns a commission. I added a couple flights of stairs and carpet protectant. He couldn't work miracles on my old carpet, but it looks great. He was polite, professional, and fast. First of all, no one returned my request online for a carpet cleaning. I don't expect to get my first choice, but after 48 hours I should at least get a phone call. Second of all, I got a lecture from the phone scheduler. I just want to set up a cleaning - I don't want an education on carpet care when I'm trying to set up a time. Third, I got a lame excuse for why no one called me back. How about just an apology and let's get you set up. Are you professional or not? Finally, I have used you in the past and am in your system so you know I am a repeat customer. Does this mean you treat me worse than everyone else, because that is how I felt during my call. Finally, She was trying to schedule me two weeks from now even though I explained this was a timely thing and it has not been my experience in the past to have to schedule that far out, ever (remember I am a return customer as I own two rental units as well as my primary residence). After hiring many other companies in the past and not being all that satisfied, I decided to try Zerorez. The two gentlemen that were sent to my house were clean cut and looked professional. They explained in detail what the process was, and how much it would cost to get the cat urine out of the carpet. They did a great job and took their time (many other companies I feel that the cleaners rush through the job). My carpet looks great and smells great too. Yes, I did pay more for this service than other companies, but I knew what I was walking in to and was willing to pay that price to see the difference. read more

Poor customer service. My tech was courteous but as my carpet dried it was obvious he'd left the tool sit in one place for awhile and a brown stain appeared. When I called to get this repaired, I was told it would be a week before someone would come. I called Zerorez before scheduling a cleaning to ask if they could get the discoloration and dog odor out of our carpet (only from oils from the dog's coat), and was assured they could. The technician came out in the expected time, looked over the rooms, and told me he could get it clean, and quoted a price to me. I told him I still needed to "prep" the second room. When he came upstairs and saw I had moved furniture out of the way, he increased the price and got very "huffy" with me when I questioned him about it. I let him finish the job, against my better judgment, and needless to say, he did not get either the discoloration or the odor out of the carpet. I will not be using Zerorez again, but will look for another organic carpet cleaner. read more

They quoted us $246 for the entire job over the phone after describing to them in detail about the rooms that needed to be cleaned. Once the technician got to our house and had already started setting up the price changed to $399. The technician was very nice and professional so it was hard to get upset with him but buyer beware, they will bait and switch the price on you so just be prepared to shell out a lot more money than what you are quoted over the phone. They will also try to upsell you on topical treatments for pet stains even if you made it clear upfront that you needed those services there will be an additional charge for it. read more

I don't know what all the other reviewers are talking about when they say this company is 'reasonably priced', I paid $280 for one 8x10 room with two spots of biological stuff. I could have purchased a new carpet for that, which is what I will have to do now because now my house is overwhelmed by chemical smell. The technicians were very nice and seemed to know what they were doing, but I wish they would have broken down the cost to me, when I got my receipt in email it basically said $150 for showing up, $119 for 3 rooms( they only did one 8x10 room), and $11 water fee, that is not what did and when I called to get help understanding the bill I had already paid the person on the phone just kept repeating that they did $280 worth of work but would not give me a breakdown in price for each thing they did, which was irritating to say the least, it also gave me the impression that I had been taken for a sucker that just paid out $280 to get my carpet cleaned in one room. If you order this service, make sure to get a written break down of all the costs that will equal the total cost of what they are going to do so you will not be shocked when you think you are paying one price and end up paying double what you though you were going to pay. read more

If there was a negative star...that is absolutely what I would leave. First of all, the price given on the radio is only meant to drag you in and, as I found out over the phone when I did the initial quote, it is only meant for certain areas . I was told in order to service my area in Boulder County it was going to cost me at least $60-100 more right off the bat. But as I have been an avid KBCO listener for years, I wanted to trust what I was being told. So out of the gate I was already paying more, and having been told they couldn't really give me an exact price over the phone, I was actually pleased at first due to the promptness of the technician. He arrived at 8 AM. He was alone and during the course of our conversation I was told he had about 5 more jobs that day to do all by himself. He was a very nice gentleman but as we began negotiating prices, I soon learned that I was not going to get away with a cheap quote. I was told that it was "in my best interest" to pay for additional sanitation fees on top of the radio fee (which I thought sanitation was already included in the original price???). I was told this because I had a pet and also because i had rented a home that had pets prior to my moving in. I would have to pay for extra extra sanitation at $60 a room and was given "a deal". This extra sanitation was to prevent smells and get rid of the bacteria etc. He was in an out of my two story house of which I did not have him do all of what i wanted after the pricey quote. I moved most of the furniture out of the way myself..all 120 lbs of me. I had them clean 1 room, 1 hallway, 1 set of stairs, 1 livingroom and he was done within 1-1/2 hours at a quote of close to $400-$500! I called them because the radio price was $109 and got a deal at $400-$500!!! I could have been happy had it turned out differently. I was told that it would take at minimum maybe five hours to dry and dont move furniture back until all of the carpet was completely dry. As I was having a dinner party that night at 6, I figured no problem. From 10 a.m. till 6 p.m. .8 hours would be sufficient time for the carpet to dry? Right? Wrong wrong wrong. My carpet did not dry until after midnight that night!!!!! My topsy turvy living room turned into a slip and slide for my guests. On top of that, the extra extra special sanitation additional fee that the technician offered me as a "good deal" and was supposed to completely eliminate any and all remnants of pet smells (I was fervently assured would be the case), DID NOT!!!! Imagine having a dinner party where you had to leave the windows open in 40 degree weather because you didnt want your guests eating to the smell of pee! Overall, I ended up paying three times what the radio said to have the "exceptionally green process" which in the end left my carpet soupy soppy wet for over 14 hours and left my house smelling like pet urine. Unnoticeable before they "cleaned and sanitized". Oh, and by the way, I did call them or let them know of my displeasure by email..I couldnt even speak to them..nor did i wish to..My discomfort was met with ONE call back to the tune of "they would have to check with the technician on my story". I had great hopes for Zerorez since they are a green company and are spoken of (advertised) so highly on the local radio. The tech was an hour late for the appointment, and I received no phone call to alert me of this from either the tech nor the office. When I called the office to check on why he had not shown up, I received an apology, and was told he hadn't called because he was "out of range." I found that hard to understand or believe since I can't imagine a place in the metro area with no coverage, especially for that length of time. The office person told me he would advise the tech to take $50 off the final price because of the delay, but he failed to do that and the tech wasn't buying my request. I was over it at tha point, paid the full amount, and was glad to send him on his way. The carpet looks good, but certainly no better than the local company I usually use, and one of the spots I pointed out to the tech is still visible. I will not be calling Zerorez again. read more

I am not happy with this company at all. I am 9 months pregnant with only today to conveniently take off from work before this baby comes. I scheduled the appointment about a week and a half ago for today and came home from work to wait for their arrival between 1 and 3. I moved my furniture and had the house ready to go. By 3:40, when no one had shown up, I called the company for an ETA. The gentleman who answered had no idea who I was. He searched his records and I was not to be found. He asked if I could have used a different last name. Um, no. He then read every last name he had booked for the day in case I had accidentally given the wrong one. No, I only have one last name! Someone forgot to put my appointment in the scheduler and I wasted a very precious afternoon, of which I have few left. I asked if they could possibly send someone later today and he said he'd call me back. I waited. And waited. And called a different company to come out on Wednesday (another afternoon I need to take off) for the same price I was quoted by Zerorez. I called Zerorez back and the gentleman, very nonchalantly, said he had put out a call to a technician but never heard back from his guy. He didn't call me back to tell me that, I had to call. He then said he wasn't sure what to do. I told him that I was going to use a different company. I didn't get the impression that any good solution was going to come from him. It is very frustrating and I feel a lot better choosing to walk away and go with a different company who gave a more reliable impression on the phone. read more

i heard about Zerorez on the radio and decided to give them a try in my new house. the service tech called when he was about a half hour away from the house to let me know he was on his way. when he showed up he introduced himself and was very polite. he referenced the notes i gave over the phone about how i wanted to remove, the best we could, the cat urine from the previous owner. he told me about the various options and explained them with detail. i felt very comfortable and understood all of my options. we walked through the areas i wanted cleaned and used a black light to detect the spots the cat liked the most. when we found these spots he referred back to my options and made suggestions. at no time did i feel as if he was pushing these services on me. when we made it through the whole house, he started to tally up the total. since i requested a lot of spot and topical treatments, he made a few deals for me because of such. i thought for all of the work i had requested the price was most fair. he showed me some of the processes and even worked some stains for free he found as he went through the house. he was literally jogging through the house to the truck and back to the spots. when he was done the carpet looked great and when it dried, it looked even better. i would highly suggest this cleaner. read more

The only reason it gets 2 stars instead of 1 is because the carpet cleaning was very good but the customer service was miserable. It all started when they had to call my husband 3 times to get our address within one hour before the scheduled time of the appointment. The driver/cleaner showed up and proceeded to call my husband again because he said no one was home. Our blinds were closed since it was hot out and he "assumed" no one was home so instead of just ringing the doorbell he called my husband for the 4th time. He then claimed he rang the doorbell but I was home the whole time and the doorbell never rang and I never even heard a car door close. My husband set up the appointment so I did not know all the details but the cleaner kept trying to upsale me on all the different options and when I told him I was not interested he told me that since my husband set up the appointment I needed to call him and make sure he did not want any of these options. As he went through the options he referred to our main area as area 1, hallway are 2, and the front 2 rooms as area 3 and 4. I told him again we were uninterested and told me I had to call my husband to make sure. During the cleaning he was very nice and we chatted about things and once he was done he quoted me the same price my husband told me it was going to cost however what I didn't know was that my husband had paid extra to have our study cleaned as well. It included the special of 3 "areas" and my husband paid extra for our 2 hallways and $50 for our study. The whole time he was trying to sale me extra features not once did he say anything about the fact there was an extra area to clean as well. It is my fault I never looked at a detailed report of what he was suppose to do or and since everything is on an ipad these days I did not see it until it was emailed to me later that night. He was so concerned about selling me more options and asking me to call my husband for those things but never reviewed our actual work request with me. We figured we would just call and get our money back for that room since it is not a large room and since they already did the cleaning there really was no point to come back. When we called customer service they said they do not do refunds and they would need to come back to do the study. Both my husband and I work and do not have time to take another 3 hour window appointment for them to come and do ONE room. The first customer service person did not have an answer for us and told us she would call us back on Monday once she spoke with a manager. Shocker we never heard back so we called again. We got the same answer from the 2nd customer service person but this time she said she would call the technician and see what he has to say about it. When she called us back she stated that the extra money was because our family room is a "double size room"....which at the time he was here he only referred to it as "area 1" never said anything about it being extra and I will remind you he is also the one who lied about ringing my doorbell. The customer service told us the only way to resolve this is for them to come and reassess our order and look at the space which is interesting as when we first called to set up the appointment they quoted us the price over the phone without seeing our space and including the extra room (our study). They kept saying "we just want to do what is easiest for you"....what is easiest for me is for you to give me my money back for the extra room that was not done!! I would never trust this company again as the quote they gave me was the same as the one given to my husband over the phone and that include the study and not once did the technician say that our main room would cost extra due to the size. It should not be this difficult to get $50 back for something that did not get done. I was so excited to use them because I heard such great things about the cleaning but I am so disappointed with the customer service I will be taking my business elsewhere! read more

Like a previous reviewer, I am also very sensitive to chemical smells and exposures, and other carpet cleanings in the past have driven me out of the house for a day and made me break out in hives, triggered my asthma, and caused me to have to use a lot of Benadryl to get through the drying phase. Not Zerorez! I sought out Zerorex because they are a much safer, natural alternative to chemical cleanings. Even if I didn't have chemical sensitivities, I'd do this to know that my children and cats were not being exposed to toxic chemical residues when they are laying around on the carpet. We have used them twice now, and I've had no adverse reaction to the cleanings (like the previous chemically sensitive reviewer, I didn't let them use additional toxic spot treatments except in a couple small stain areas, but I did OK with that). I wondered the first time if perhaps being less toxic also made them less effective, but I was pleasantly surprised - - Zerorez does as well or possibly even a better job getting our carpets cleaned as any company we've ever worked with, and our carpet is light colored so really a challenge to clean well. We also had them do our couches and throw rugs this second time and they did a great job with that too. Further, they are very pleasant and professional to work with - - easy to schedule by phone, and a courteous technician who calls 1/2 hour before coming to let you know, and really spends time cleaning your carpets to perfection. Yes, Zerorez does tend to cost more than those cheap cleaners that leave loads of chemically laden water in your carpet that takes days to dry (Zerorez dries faster), but they are SO worth it and they do often have specials running. I highly recommend them and I only take the time to write a review when I'm really impressed! read more

Zerorez has cleaned our carpets several times. Each time, the techs arrive on time, are dressed in clean and pressed uniforms, and are generous in our favor when the quote the cost of cleaning our light gray carpets, which our three Labs often "decorate" in their unique manner. We had a wave of canine flu hit our home recently, and at one point our dining room, our dogs' favorite canvas, looked like a crime scene! I was certain that the stains were impossible to remove, even though Zerorez has worked magic in the past. This time was no exception. Ricky, who is the tech who has cleaned for us several times, got all the stains up. He carefully placed plastic guards on each corner to prevent damage from hoses; he used clean towels to wipe up whatever water was on the wood floors that abut the carpets. The carpets stay cleaner far longer than they did when we had steam cleaners or, especially, after we've made the mistake of renting a cleaner from the grocery store. We've been consistently pleased with the work Zerorez does in our home. read more
