This review is LONG overdue! I have heard so many wonderful things about how acupuncture can help with fertility so I made an appointment in September 2020 with Dr. Jin Kim. I am SO glad I did! The office is very clean and comfortable, parking is easy. Dr. Kim is very nice and helpful. We started with weekly sessions and added on with herbs from their office to help the process. I couldn't WAIT to come to my 2nd appointment of November to announce (scream) "I'm pregnant!" I have continued with weekly appointments throughout my pregnancy, it's my favorite part of each week. This clinic is the best. I've been going for a few months now and they've been so helpful. I have lower back pain and also pretty severe ADHD. I originally went to them to find a natural alternative to adderall and intense medications that changed my body and personality. They immediately found a solution and it's been working wonders. I question the 5 star ratings here. Dr. Kim threw a fit because I flinched a few times when the needles went in. He told me to "restrain myself" (I'm not new to acupuncture, have done it over 30 times, but my last visit was a bit more painful, so I flinched a few times). I told him I'll try (to restrain myself), and then he asked me if I wanted him to stop. I said no. He asked, do you want to leave? I said no. I was 100% fine with everything and him continuing. Then I flinched again and again he had issues. He asked me again, do you want to leave? I said no. I responded that I think he wants me to have zero discomfort, but I can't control that. His response was this: "I am also a human being". I guess his being a human being means that patients can't have any reactions or his feelings get too hurt. I "know" the 5 star ratings here are BS because, in his diatribe to me about acupuncture, he told me that some patients are not happy with how he does things and where he places needles (I did not have a problem with his needle placement whatsoever). I am very confident that other patients are not happy with him. He seems to have a major chip on his shoulder and is generally psychologically too immature. I will never go back! read more

Sylvia was really thorough in explaining the process for my first time so I got to learn a bit about why acupuncture and cupping are effective. I've seen both Dr. Hyo and Dr. Alex and both are some of the most caring, knowledgable acupuncturists I've ever been treated by. I'm currently on a treatment plan with a Lyme Literate Medical Doctor for Bartonella, Babesia, mold, Candida, Hashimoto's, and parasites, and acupuncture has been immensely helpful in helping drive the parasites out and detox from my diseases. I don't think I'd be healing from my illnesses this quickly if it wasn't for acupuncture. In addition to acupuncture, they do moxibustion (for parasites) and e-stim (for constipation). I have been coming to see Himeno for cupping and accupuncture and couldn't be happier. She is very welcoming and nice. You can tell that she is very passionate about what she does and enjoys being able to help people and educate them on how to live a healthier life. I get muscle tension/pain often from dance injuries and have found that cupping has been a wonderful relief and actually helped tame my anxiety as well. I have been seeking alternative and holistic paths of treatment for my chronic lower back pain and frequent shoulder injuries, this includes infrared sauna and lymphatic massage. I don't know why I didn't think of acupuncture since I grew up getting cupped and pricked on the reg. The first appointment asked that I set aside 90 minutes, I gave this a nice eyeroll and scoff, I've never needed 90 minutes for acupuncture LOL To my wonderful dismay, sure enough, our session took the full 90 minutes, at least 30 minutes was just us talking, which was followed up with acupuncture under infrared sauna light, and finished with an amazing fire cupping session. Dr. Alex was so thorough, non-judgemental and had a great bedside manner. I gave her a summary of my entire health history, and what my current ailments are. I even asked about potential future needs and she gave great information. I was a little apprehensive about going to a practitioner who wasn't Chinese, but any shred of doubt or question is completely eliminated. The clear communication and non-judgemental piece really did it for me, I used to feel extremely judged at previous places, and not to mention a language barrier at times. I don't think I had a full understanding of what they were trying to tell me and vice versa. After just one session, my lower back is not as tight, and my shoulder feels much less pain. Goes without saying, I made my second apt on the spot for 2 days later, and just made my third for next week. This place is amazing. I came here while I was pregnant for back pain. I also came here with my husband when I was 40 weeks and ready to try and induce labor. Dr. Kim saw both me and my husband at the same time. He treated my husband for back pain and myself for inducing labor. At one point, he left us in the treatment room to meditate under an infrared light and it was an awesome experience to do together. This was on a Saturday afternoon and Sunday night labor started! I don't even know where to start. I'm visited Zerone during my second trimester of my second pregnancy and it's the best thing I could have done. I was suffering from terrrrible back pain and felt like miserable! Within 3 sessions I felt the pain lessen. I had a severe head and neck injury 2 years ago and have been seeking help ever since. I have been in physical therapy and have seen spine specialists and taken dozens of medications. My doctor finally referred to acupuncture and it has changed my life. I have only been going since January and I feel like I have my life back. I can actually sleep laying down now and can travel without being anxious about sitting in a car or on a plane. I still have difficult days due to the nature of my injury but most days the pain is minimal or non-existent. Alexandra is usually who I see but I have also seen Sylvia and they both are amazing. They take the time to listen to you which I feel like has been half the battle with Western medicine.
