I'm Chinese but never believed much in Chinese medicine. That kind of ignorance was probably due to the the fact that I had been blessed with good health and fitness... until three weeks ago. I started to have surreal amount of acute pain from my lower right side of back, and it shot down to the entire right leg. I limbed in every step and was screaming in pain when I got off the chair or bed. It was so bad I woke up in tears and swears at night. I injured my shoulder last year and, while it was able to heal on its own about 80%, I still had pain when reaching up with my arm. I was tired of it and went to Dr. Lu for help. He was able to diagnose that my pectoral muscle was extremely tight (never recovered from injury) and pulling on my shoulder causing the pain. He not only did acupuncture, which hurt a lot but no pain no gain, but also hooked me up to a TENS machine and applied an oil rub which he also sold to me. One day later and my shoulder feels GREAT! I'm so happy to finally not feel limited with my range of motion and I'm planning to come back for a another nagging issue of mine. Dr. Lu is an amazing doctor. I was on medication (inhalers with steroids) for a constant cough that lasted over 9 months. I went to go see Dr. Lu and after a combination of acupuncture and tea, it went away just after 3 weeks. In addition, I had limited strength, movement, and constant pain in my hand due to carpel tunnel and tendonitis. After 1 session of acupuncture, I gained movement and strength in my hand. I do have to say that I had sore pain for about 3 days, but sure beats that I was able to regain complete use of my hand. I had chronic right-sided scapula dull/stabbing pain for 9 years that would be bearable on some days and some, worse. I would wake up with a chip on my shoulder and be aggravated on those days. I went to different medical/licensed and certified professionals and they all had different things to say about my problem: Filipino Hilot massaged therapist says: "Maybe it's a fracture or it's your nerves."
