Disappointed with the service and unexpected price changes I went to the clinic for acupuncture. Before my visit, I called to confirm the price, and they told me the first session would cost $75, and the following ones would be $65. However, when I arrived, I was told there was a "misunderstanding," and the actual price was $190 for the first session and $160 for the following ones. In the end, they offered me a "discount," so I agreed to pay $130 for the first session and $110 for the next ones. I initially thought it was just a misunderstanding. But after my fourth visit, I suddenly received an email informing me that my next session would cost $120. No one had warned me about the price increase beforehand--they just informed me after the fact! When I asked why I wasn't notified in advance, they simply told me the next session would now be $125. I want to emphasize that Dr. Denis is very kind and attentive, and I truly appreciate his care. That's why it's especially disappointing that the clinic operates this way and treats its clients like this. I feel really sorry about the situation. This is the second time they have changed their pricing without proper communication. I'm shocked by this approach to customer service. Be careful before booking an appointment here! read more

This was my first experience with acupuncture. I developed some pain because I tried to lift someone that had fallen and was quite heavy. I saw Doctor Alex Ezzati and explained where I had the pain as well as some numbness around my lower right back, cheek and right abdomen area. At the end of October I was in a car accident which caused pain in my sciatic area, my back and neck. I've been coming to Balance Within for the last few weeks and it has helped my pain tremendously. Stephanie has been my provider and she has been extraordinarily knowledgeable and kind, and the treatment plan she created is amazing. During our first appointment, she really took the time to listen to all my concerns -- I even had some questions about Chinese Medicine that didn't necessarily have to do with my pain, and she answered all of those questions too. In our sessions we've been doing Acupuncture, sometimes with electro-stimulation, and cupping. Both of these treatments have done wonders for my pain. Stephanie clearly has a gift for helping and healing people. During our sessions, she leaves the needles in for about 35-40 minutes. The room is very relaxing and conducive for healing both my body and mind -- the room is the perfect temperature, the table is heated, and there's calming music playing. Besides the treatments that we do when I'm in the office, Stephanie also recommended I take Chinese medicinal herbs to help my pain. I have yet to try them but I'm sure the herbs will be a great addition. I whole heartedly recommend Stephanie at Balance Within for anyone who is looking to heal their body through acupuncture or cupping. It's been a life saver! read more

I wanted to give a review of my experience bringing my teenager who has a huge phobia of needles to Balance Within. Dr. Dennis was really patient with us and gave my child the time they needed to calm themselves and try something that was really scary. No "it doesn't hurt that bad" or "it's fine just do it" that we've experienced with doctors and nurses. Just a huge amount of patience and the time and space they needed to be able to have what ended up at the end to be a very positive and helpful experience. And even though my kid is still anxious about the next visit they feel confident that they'll be able to do it again and get benefits with their chronic pain. Dr. Raisa Shahbazian was a godsend! I had a wicked sciatica nerve flare up two weeks ago and after a week of debilitating pain I decided to give acupuncture a try. Balance within was able to see me that day and Dr. Raisa was the first person after a slew of ER visits to acknowledge the amount of pain I was in, and come up with a plan to help. She made sure I was comfortable and talked me through every part of the experience. I responded really well to treatments and I firmly believe that it is the two appointments I had from Dr. Raisa that is allowing me to feel as good as I am now. I started my acupuncture journey with Dr. Alex and I've been only seeing positive results since! I came in for digestion related issues including bloating and rosacea. Do yourself a favor and book the appointment! I was in a bad car accident, I went to a chiropractor, orthopedic, and physical therapy. After so many treatments and shots I was still in pain. The doctors said the only other option I had was either an epidural or surgery. Before doing something so invasive I decided to try acupuncture/ cupping. It's helped tremendously!
