I knew Dr Ki Sun cares about his patients when he only recommended 3 sessions and that it was the optimal amount.

My shoulders slope. Disaster abounds along my spine. One day my mother told me I was going to an Asian doctor. She wanted me to get my back straightened out so I'd look good on my wedding day. No, I'm not engaged. The Hills Acupuncture Clinic is in a medical building in Northridge with a free parking lot. It's small, with one office, two patient rooms, and a sitting area. It's also well kept, clean and welcoming. I'd never visited an OMD before and I was skeptical. Still, I went twice a week for about two months. The doctor at Hills is a very sweet, gentle middle-aged Korean man, skinny and soft-spoken and skilled with his hands. Each session lasts about an hour and involves a combination of acupuncture and chiropractic. Both hurt at times, but for the most part the experience is not entirely unpleasant. Occasionally one needle will feel like it's cutting through some thick meat, but otherwise it just pricks. From what I understand, acupuncture has been proven effective while chiropractic is pretty controversial. This doctor definitely believes in both, and while I went, I did see results. The thing with chiropractic, though, is that results wear off when you stop going. After a couple months I got a job and realized the clinic was too big of a time commitment. The doctor was also having me do exercises that I felt guilty every week for forgetting to perform. I'm not entirely sold on acupuncture and chiropractic as a way of life, but I like this clinic, and I'll go back whenever I feel the need to stick myself with needles to redirect my flow of chi. And when I do get married, I'll see the doctor again about smoothing out the horrors of my spine.

Walked into the CENTER and was greeted with a smile. I was a few minutes early and sat down in the empty lobby. The reason for an empty lobby is that rooms are prepared before a patient shows up so as not to be left waiting in the lobby for more than a couple of minutes, if at all. I am a Male, 74 years old: for months I had constant sciatica with pain across my glutes and popping up and down different places on my right leg, If I drove more than 15 minutes straight my right leg would begin to cramp/pain in places. Still active I work 2 days a week, do calisthenics daily, and walk 20+ miles every week. Not a couch potato. Dr. Jennifer gave me a full assessment including watching me walk, squat, balance, flexibility, etc. A treatment program was drawn up with options we discussed and started. Huge surprise: the needles did not hurt when inserted. Also, when they were removed after the treatment they were disposed of. Each treatment room is private with soft music and a couple of times I almost fell asleep. I no longer have the sciatica pain and drove 55 minutes the other day without my right leg cramping, and without pain running up and down the leg. Also, following the Dr.s' recommendation I have improved my posture when walking. Without a doubt this has been a physical and mental uplifting experience. This Center is passionate about helping patients improve their health rather than slap a bandaid on a problem and issuing a prescription. The procedures are tailored to address the symptoms of each person and they worked. THANK YOU REBOOT ACUPUNCTURE CENTER!

WOW!! And I mean WOW!!…read more Discovered this place during a campus tour and boy am I glad we explored it. The first thing I noticed upon entering was the wonderful smell of aromatherapy. Definitely a clean smelling scent. Reminded me of some of the spas that I've been to. Everything looked clean, smelled nice, and quiet. If I was a student here, I would definitely spend a lot of my time here to relax. A hour massage costs a student about $29. They have two rooms. You can also get acupuncture for the same price. There's a room to take a nap in these pods. You can't lay flat though. There also several massage chairs for use that are free. Plenty of sitting areas inside and outside. They maintain the quietness throughout this facility. The gender inclusive restroom is also very nice and clean. I was told these restrooms are the cleanest on campus. The only thing missing is hand lotion. The only thing I didn't like was that I noticed that one of the cushions inside was VERY dirty, as if someone spilled something on it. They really should clean or change that cushion.

Check-in is quick, you just need to punch in your ID number and scan your hand (although this is AFTER you register with the SRC or Oasis.) There was no room to sit inside so I found a couch outside. The space is quiet and so relaxing. A wonderful place to come and read or just chill. They also have services such as free nap pods and massage chairs that you can reserve beforehand, and services that have an additional charge but are super affordable such as massages, accupuncture, Reiki therapy, and more. The Oasis Wellness Center is somewhere I am definelty going to be spending a lot of time at and I am looking forward to trying out one of their wellness services in the near future. This is a wonderful luxury for the students.
