Still using them after almost 9 years. A++ every time. Love that they are a family owned business. Excellent cleaning.

Zero Dirt is the Yelp! find of all time. When I arrived home to my apartment of SPOTLESS PERFECTION, Zero Dirt had also reorganized ALL of my kitchen cupboards: Spices, pots 'n' pans, dishes, cleaning supplies, canned food, etc. Now I can find everything! Zero Dirt is the magic genie of housecleaning. They go far, far above and beyond to a level of cleanliness you didn't think possible. Their name really says it all: Zero Dirt. Their rates are beyond reasonable and their work is simply amazing. And, this hard-working husband and wife team - so nice. Now that they come here once a month to clean my apartment, I don't know how I ever did without them. Zero Dirt is my exceptional Yelp! find of all time. Once you hire them, you'll see. read more

The whole purpose of Yelp is to inform the public to save them from either making a huge mistake or spending their money on a wonderful experience. This review is to save the public. My boyfriend and I were in dying need of a good maid service. I have been looking for months and we had maids come and go that did not live up to our expectations. I guess showing up on time and actually doing their job was too much to ask. After coming on Yelp to find a new maid service, I found Zero Dirt Cleaning. I called and Roberto said they were busy for the next month. He then said to email him so it would be easier to write back. Okay, no word back for several weeks. I called him and he said to email him, which I already did. He pulled up my email, saying it was in the "spam mail". Okay whatever. We schedule an hour to 90 minutes for cleaning with 2 maids. In the past 1 maid could clean our small 700 ft 1 bedroom apartment in 90 minutes. I figured 2 people could do it in less time. We set up the appointment, Roberto emails me to see if they can some 2 hours earlier than expected, we agree to it. They show up and we tell them we will be back in an hour. We figure 2 people should be done in 1 hour. We come back to see that they only cleaned the bathroom. We asked what they were doing and it they show us they cleaned the microwave and bathroom and that was pretty much it. $25 per person sounds like a great deal, but not when they try to stay for 3 hours! There was no sense of urgency to clean, especially after emailing Roberto and telling the maids we only wanted an hour cleaning. 90 minutes was the max we would pay for, especially since we wanted them to come once a week. We live in a very nice apartment so we could tell they wanted to milk us for every penny. We have a doorman and it is nice, so they could pick up on that. They also used all our cleaning supplies! What were we paying them for??? Roberto called me and said we don't have a problem here. I said yes we do since they did 25% of the work in 90 minutes. We gave them more time only to see they really were not cleaning. They said to come back in another hour. They just wanted more money. They had a smirk on their face. Please don't let the 4 and half stars they have fool you. They suck! read more

We have used WGM for almost a year now and are thrilled with the work of Alicia and her sister-in-law Maria. For $100 (initial cleaning, $60 every additional) they leave our usually tidy house immaculately clean. I'm talking 5 star, Four Seasons/Ritz Carlton sparkling clean. They also do special requests (organizing the garage, closet, etc.). They've also helped us move twice! Roberto and his brother will do your move-out detail (deep carpet cleaning, filling holes/repainting, etc.) to make it look as if you never lived in that apartment. We have worked with other cleaning services and I can say without a doubt, they are the best. All of it has to do with the quality people behind WGM. Few people take as much pride in their work as Alicia, Maria and Roberto. Please understand that they are a small mom-and-pop operation consisting of just these two ladies and Alicia's husband, Roberto, who also happens to be an excellent handyman-jack of all trades. Yes, it can be hard at times to get a timely response (they have gotten a huge increase in referral business, clients sometimes reschedule at the last minute), but they WILL call you back. It can be hard to entrust your home/pets with strangers, but we trust them implicitly -- it also helps that they remember each of our pets by name :) read more

One day, I found something that resembled "the blob" hanging off the scummy bottom of our shower door in addition to a dust bunny the size of an infant under our couch. That was the final straw. I immediately decided that we needed some serious help getting our nasty house in tip-top shape. Being two busy professionals with a very old house, lots of space, very little free time, a very sheddy cat, and a few nubbly muppet-like wool rugs, we realized that we could not just get anyone to clean the house. After reading a rec from a fellow Yelper, Jennifer O. I decided to call them up. Roberto was awesome, friendly, and fairly quick to respond via email and I was able to set up an appointment within a few weeks. For the initial visit, 2 girls came and cleaned for about 4 hours. They essentially went through everything on the top 2 levels of our house. Not a speck of dust was left on any surface and our entire kitchen was glittering from the top to bottom. Our old Wedgewood stove had been polished from the inside-out where we could read the instructions on the inside of the door. Also, the bathroom? Completely immaculate. They even cleaned the inside of our gross trash can. We were completely blown away since the last time the house was this clean was likely some time in the 20s. As for logistics, the first few visits, they bring their own supplies, but if you set up subsequent visits, they will require that you provide them. Also, the first visit is likely the most expensive, but depending on how often you would like them to come, the rates are discounted based on how frequent their visits will be. We have opted for once a month so we do get a bit of a discount. Either way, with their rates, it's honestly a paltry price to pay for our sanity and comfort. Bonus points for people no longer asking me if I own a cat due to light colored fur being stuck to everything that I own. Hooray for Zero Dirt! read more

Miracle workers. This is what these folks are. I had a very complicated moving situation where everything needed to happen all at once- the move and the cleaning. Roberto eased my fears, said they'd be on time, and would do the job despite all the other activity we had going on. They showed up right on time and immediately got set to work. Honestly, I know it wasn't an ideal work environment but they made our place look fantastic! My step-mom even remarked at how thorough they were and I am seriously just counting the days until I have them come to our new place. I can't wait! read more

Great work! Clean and sparkly. Everything was organized, polished, wiped, vacuumed, etc. Thorough and efficient. Reasonably priced. Will definitely be having them back on a regular basis!! read more

I had Working Girls Maids come to my apartment about 3-4 weeks ago to do a 'deep clean.' They sent 2 maids, Alicia and Maria, who worked hard for 5 hours and did an amazing job. My 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment was relatively clean and neat before, but they left it sparkling and organized. Alicia went through my entire wardrobe and organized my room from the inside out, at my request!!! I was in love with my room and the rest of the apartment afterwards, and I've been able to keep up the organization because of the way the maids put everything away - everything was easy to find and access. I honestly couldn't wait to have the maids come back. They just did such an amazing job. I wrote a rave review on their website and emailed Roberto (the person who coordinated the cleaning session) to tell him how happy I was with the service. I asked to have the maids come on a biweekly basis to clean the apartment for 1-2 hours to keep it spotless. Roberto said that he'd be happy to schedule biweekly cleaning sessions for me, but kept telling me that he had to check his schedule. He didn't follow up with me for quite some time. I kept calling and emailing him... I finally got in touch with Roberto again and it took about 5 or 6 calls back and forth to set up an appointment. I was thrilled that we were FINALLY able to settle on a time. Unfortunately, Roberto texted me day-of to cancel (this is after I had to coordinate the scheduling with my roommate to make sure one of us would be home for the 2 hours when the maids were scheduled to be there). Roberto simply said that they were busy and would call me to schedule another session later. I was pretty upset because I had spent so much time calling/emailing them over the last 2-3 weeks to get an appointment (I haven't heard from him still, and I've since found another house cleaner who will come weekly/biweekly to tidy up our place!! He is fantastic.) Anyway, long story short - good house cleaning service, poor customer service and follow-up. Beware. read more

My apartment was a mess from the kitchen sink flooding and for weeks I'd come home to a disaster as the floor was replaced and my things moved an broken. I found Zero Dirt on Yelp and called them in to help. The feeling I got when I walked in after they'd been there was nothing shy of utter relaxation and cleanliness. They did such a great job I'm having them clean my boyfriend's place next. 5 stars for putting a giant smile on my face! read more

Roberto and his cousin have been coming to me for a few months and I can't be happier! He is so committed to his job and timings that it's very easy for me plan my schedule a month ahead. His cleaning is immaculate and detailed. After a lot of time spent googling for a reasonable cleaner who would come to SOMA, I found a gem, Roberto. I highly recommend his cleaning services. I agree with Jennifer's and Sara's reviews! read more

I don't write a lot of reviews on yelp, but when someone deserves a five star review, you have to jump on and make it known. Roberto and his team absolutely do. They are easy and accommodating, most of my cleanings have been scheduled via text message or FB Chat. You can usually schedule less than a week in advance. Once they get in the door, the magic happens. These guys cleaned the inside of my refrigerator, reorganized my kitchen counter and made it look awesome, and cleaned my pitiful bachelor pad top to bottom. I swear, I fall in love with my place again every time they come through. If you are looking for a cleaning service, I couldn't give a stronger recommendation. read more

Roberto and his team (between one and three other people) clean our place every two weeks. They're reliable, communicate well, and really try to do the best job that they can. We've worked with several other cleaners in San Francisco over the past decade, and Zero Dirt has been the most consistently good. I rarely find anything to complain about, and when I do have an issue with something, Roberto is always very attentive to fixing it - either when I mention it or the next time he comes in. And it gets dealt with ... without me having to ask again. Very responsible. The regular deep cleaning is really welcome in our place, where we have a couple kids and lots of pets. I think the Zero Dirt team puts a lot of care and pride in what they do, and I'm very happy to employ them. Would definitely recommend them to anyone I know. And even people I don't know (including you). read more

Wow, where to start, zero stars if possible. First off, each of my requests has never been answered promptly...usually taking 1.5-2 days for any kind of response. We simply booked for a cleaning for my loft and they were a complete no show. We emailed and called the number provided on his website, email etc. The phone goes to voicemail that is full. To this day he asserts it was our fault that we didn't text him instead of calling. Are you serious??? They apologized profusely so against my better judgement I gave them a 2nd chance. They came out a 2nd time, and were ridiculously early and waiting for over an hour for us to arrive on time for the cleaning. The maids were furious that they were being paid less for the 2nd cleaning (he gave a discount) and were not told in advance by Roberto. This showed in their cleaning as they entirely missed certain parts of the loft (for example they did not touch the freezer which we specifically asked to be detailed/cleaned). I'm really not sure how there are so many 5 star reviews when they completely miss speicific items that are requested to be cleaned???? The manager/owner needs to step aside and hire someone that can communicate quickly with potential customers, his staff, and is committed to returning calls, having voicemail and returning it, communicating clearly with customers and staff...and provide some level of customer service. I would warn everyone against using this service. There are much better out there! read more

Great service! Good price, left everything super clean and Roberto is really nice. I would defenetly hire them next time. read more

The only reason I gave Working Girls 4 stars is because they are often slow to respond to emails. Other than that I give their services 5 stars. Working Girls always leaves our house immaculate and best of all tidy. Yes, there is a difference between clean and tidy and when both happen it makes your home feel brand new. I can't recommend Working Girls enough, they are very thorough, profession and easy to work with. read more

Just used their services today . Two wonderful ladies came in and super cleaned our kitchen and bathroom in our apartment. Unfortunately I didn't get their names but I am oh so happy with the results . Plus you can't beat the price $150 for 2 1/2 hours . Be a good client and provide the cleaners with some cold water bottles!! read more

See all

I have them 3 tries to 1) show up on time 2) if they are going to be late call 3) provide their own cleaning supplies (since they said they do) They didn't show up on time more often than they did Roberto said that he would always come to each cleaning so their would be consistency, that didn't happen I asked them not to use my paper towels and cleaner. My request never stuck. I'd leave a new roll of paper towels and come home to an empty roll every time. when I started hiding them my house became less clean. Even through all of this I decided to give them a key. I am home an hour after they should have been done and they had just arrived. Another days 2 hours after they should have been gone and again they had just arrived. Finally I came home one day and they never came. I emailed. I called. I texted. No answer. 5 days later they said "Oh sorry we had a planning mistake". I asked them for details. Never heard form them again. I give them 2 stars because when they did show 80% of the time they did a good job. Language was also a barrier of course. Like the phrase "Working Girls" I'm still not sure if they know that can also mean "Prostitutes" Yea the Prostitutes Maids! read more

I was beyond impressed and happy with Zero Dirt Cleaning. It was easy to get ahold of them, make an apointment, and they even looked at pics of the mess my roomie had left behind. I have a two bed two bath and Elizabeth and Maribel came to clean the place. They did a deep clean and cleaned things I never thought to scrub down. My roomie had moved out and left behind a mildew smell in his room and mold on the walls. Most of the smell is gone but there is a slight odor still so I am going to try having the carpets cleaned. They deep cleaned everything and it looks amazing. My whole place feels way better and it was exactly the price I was quoted. Thank you thank you thank you! I will be using your services again and recomending you to everyone I know. read more

We have been using Roberto and his team at Zero Dirt Cleaning for the past 6 months now for cleaning vacation rentals we manage, which require many cleanings per month. They do a fantastic job of being prompt, consistent and attentive. Furthermore, have been flexible should there be schedule changes. We highly recommend this company for their professionalism and service. read more

Roberto contacted us back after a bit and apologized for the delay. He was very nice about it and also let us change our time to Friday evening on short notice because of a schedule conflict, we really appreciate it! Maribel & Veronica worked on our apartment and they did a fantastic job. I smell lots of bleach in the bathroom (good thing). They vacuumed under the couch cushions and I didn't even have to ask!! They were also very nice about my special requests such as the insides of the cabinets. My only complaint is that I asked for the blinds to be cleaned but she only wiped one side so if the blinds are turned the reverse way it was still dirty. read more

If you are actually able to get them to show up the cleaners do a pretty good job. Not great, but probably 3.5 or 4/5 stars on actually cleaning. The 2 star review is because it is practically impossible to get them to show up on time or on the actual day you want them to show up. I used them 3 times, and every single time there were scheduling issues. The last time was the last straw. We scheduled a cleaning for a Saturday afternoon a week in advance. Saturday rolls around and we receive a text asking if the cleaners can come early because someone else cancelled. We were not home so we told them no, we'll keep the 4PM appointment as previously scheduled. After some back and forth they we agreed to drop what we were doing and head home to let them in. On our way home they reply they would have to cancel the appointment because the cleaners had already stopped by and we were not home, what? They had just asked if we could go home. They promised to come early Monday morning and stated Roberto would be there as well to apologize and discuss the issues. They actually did come on Monday (surprise!), but no Roberto, and did a rush job and left after 45 minutes. Time to look for new cleaners. read more

WHEN the cleaners come they have been great. They said they would be here at 2 p.m. its nearly 4 p.m. and I haven't heard a word from them nor have they shown up. We will not be calling them again... read more

Working Girls Maids are amazing!!! I have been working with WGM for 2 years (Roberto and Alicia) and they are absolutely the best! We have strongly recommended them to many of our friends. Totally reliable, very professional and quite accomodating. Their attention to details is incredible and they take a lot of pride in their job and truly shows! Everytime they leave our house, it's spanking clean, and so organized! They have accomodated us even for last minute needs and we are very grateful for their hard work and trust them blindly. For a great cleaning service, Working Girls Maids is your place! read more

I would rate them higher for their cleaning, because they clean well. But their scheduling is awful. They don't show up when they say they will, or they show up so late they cannot get all the work done. They lose checks, then try to collect more than they are owed. I stopped using them because of this. Part of the problem is that the crew speaks so little English, and communication is a major issue. Sorry. read more

Roberto and his team are by far the best cleaners in the city. They always do a thorough job and get an amazing amount completed in such a short amount of time. They're also very flexible and will work with you to find a time period that works best. Coming home after Roberto and his team have been there is always a great thing. read more

This company does a fantastic job cleaning our home. It usually looks like a fancy hotel when they leave, even the toilet paper is folded at the edges and they always do special little touched I wouldn't have thought of like folding a whole section of napkins, arranging our kids doll house or doing something pretty and interesting with the couch cushions. We send an email, the give us a time, they show up. Sometimes they have been a little late, but we understand they have other jobs before us and can't always say how long that will take, so it's fine. I read the other review about shedualing problems, but I have not had that issue with them. We are happy! read more

This is a follow-up from a review done 2.5 years ago when we used Roberto and his team at Zero Dirt Cleaning for 6-months servicing short-term rentals we manage. Over the years, and hundreds of cleanings later, they have consistently met to our expectations - maintaining a high-level of professionalism and service. Working with them has been a pleasure. We gave them a 5 stars then, and still maintain the 5 stars now. Look no further, Zero Dirt Cleaning is definitely the one to go with. Highly recommended from a long-term client. read more

Zero Dirt did apologize profusely and arranged to come back and clean. All went very well. Thank you for making it right! At a later time, update: To clarify this rating, I can not raise this to a 5 star review after a missed appointment. The cleaning was good. Zero Dirt is really fantastic. They have very reasonable rates and do a spectacular job. Everything was incredibly clean when we arrived home from work--it was really a pleasure. They really go above and beyond what I would expect from a cleaning service. Not only was everything dusted and vacuumed like you would expect from many cleaning services, but they also cleaned the inside of the refrigerator and the microwave and followed all of the instructions and request I gave them beforehand. They also made our beds so that it felt like you were coming home to a hotel. Money well spent is all I can say. read more

Zero Dirt does a great job! I was in a time crunch for move in and move out cleaning and they were able to fit me in their schedule at last minute with no problems. Was so impressed with their work, now have them clean my apt every 4-6 weeks. Very thorough cleaning and affordable. Highly recommended! read more

Working Girls Maids is the first maid service I have personally hired as an adult. They were recommended by the woman I see cleaning a neighbors apartment who was unable to take me on as a client. They responded to my e-mail quickly, they arrived promptly within their specified thirty minute window on the day of. Nothing went missing from my apartment, and they made my one bedroom sparkle. There are two reasons they got 4 stars instead of 5. Firstly, they missed a couple of things that I really would have liked done. The curtains in my bedroom have pet hair all along the window sill and this was not even attempted, and the closet where the litter box is still has litter on the floor. Secondly, the maids spoke almost no English, so I was unable to communicate areas that I wanted focused on - like the curtains. Every other area of my apartment was spotless and beautiful and I will definitely be using their service again! read more
