She even put some time in after hours to help get things scheduled. Starlan was also available for any questions that I had about the process. Although I requested two movers, four showed up to help. We scheduled two guys for 2 hours to unload a 20' U-haul truck. They were on time, friendly, and did an excellent job moving in all our things. Even though they had to move a couple of heavy dressers up three flights of stairs, they never complained. I will call them again for any moving help I need in the future in Bend. read more

So I spoke to Will as my first contact with Zen relocation about two weeks prior to moving. I told him what I needed, which was a few strong backs to get my house cleared out and moved two blocks away. I agreed to furnish the truck, and the driver and had the truck there first thing in the morning. They were reliable and in time the next morning. I had basically everything boxed and labeled down to what room or level in the house it was to be placed. The guys decided after two hours they needed to take a lunch break, and I was told thirty minutes. They returned an HOUR later from lunch, no apology, nothing. They got back to work and their work took a sharp productive turn downward. They took forever to get the rest of the boxes loaded and arrived at the new house at 4pm. They took three more hours to off load the furniture and boxes, with half of the boxes left in the garage, because I was afraid they would be there until 10 pm, if they had to bring the boxes in to their actual spots they went to. Little jobs like bringing in a new frig took two hours to take the front door off and maneuver it in place. Meanwhile I was getting angrier and angrier watching them slow to a snails pace. After that I insisted they wrapped up. I had contact with the owner Will a Few times during the day. He suggested I remain positive and have everyone finish on a good note and pay them what I thought they earned. I ended up paying $700 for the 8 hour job because they seemed so unprofessional. I.e. these young men didn't even have the common sense to know the rugs go in the truck last, in order to come out first, to go down PRIOR to placing furniture on real wood floors. I also don't believe any of the men were bonded and insured, so just a loose collection of guys who needed work,but at $184 an hour for three men, that is way too high for unskilled labor. I still don't have my garage packed up, and originally thought I'd have them back on Thursday to finish the garage boxes and gardening pots, tools and etc. but told Will I would no longer need their services later in the week, because I was concerned that it would take another 9 hours for them to load up and off load at somewhere in the vicinity or $1000 or so. read more

Had a long distance move. I could not be more pleased with the service I received from Zen. Jesse and his crew pack my entire house and garage content into a 26' truck and carefully wrapped each piece of furniture with a moving blanket and then wrapped that with plastic wrapping. They were quick and efficient. I had not packed the tv's and a few other things that they packed for me with extreme care. Upon arrival at my new home they were once again quick and efficient in unloading and placing furniture where we wanted it placed. I can't say enough good things about William and Zen Bend Labor and Relocation. The driver of our moving truck showed up and was ready for a crew to unload the boxes and furniture from a 53-ft truck. However, the originally scheduled crew (from a different company, not Zen) didn't show up and so we had to find someone ASAP --- on a Saturday. William called me back right away and was able to show up within half an hour with his crew -- who were so awesome. They really saved the day. I wanted to use another company that gets great reviews on Yelp! but they were booked. They referred me to Zen and I took a chance even though they had no reviews. Happy to report that they did a great job and were affordable. We had some very delicate (and large) furniture pieces that they brought in to the house very carefully. A great moving experience with some really nice, considerate, and efficient people doing the work. William is great at coordinating and communicating in the planning up to the move, and the day of. Simon, Taylor and Andy were efficient, careful, fast, strong, and friendly. The knocked out the move from on home to the other (with a pickup at two other locations on the way) faster than we even expected. Nothing damaged or scratched, everything put in its place, and then asking if there was anything else they could help with before they called it done.
