One of the movers got sick so there was a bit of a delay to get more hands on site, waiting was quite worth it for they were a well oiled machine with the appropriate sized team. No issues with the instrument, she was babied and secured properly. Anthony was the lead, I also had Adam and Wes on location. They should get a Piano "Tilter" to ensure longevity in their workers. They moved my daughter's stuff out of her apartment and stored everything safely until we could get to Bend to move her back home. They opened for us on a holiday to retrieve her stuff and helped us load up on their own personal time. So grateful for the kindness. You don't get service like this anywhere anymore. They were to pack our belongings on the third of the month and move 11 miles to our new house. They did not show up until the 6th at around 8 or 9pm to get started.The company still has not arrived with our property. It is the March 5th with no hope in site of our property!! Value We had a three bedroom house with garage moving 4 miles. Everything was packed and ready and it took 4 guys 7 hours and we still had three vehicles and a trailer loaded three times on our own and we still have more left to move. They were very "lethargic" acting and very seemingly unmotivated for a day of moving. Took way too long and exorbitantly expensive.(Almost $2000.) I certainly would not recommend them to anyone. Booked a move for June on Friday. $960 Job they wanted a $600 deposit. Which was a mistake to give them. Called on the following Monday to cancel. Nicky said the entire deposit was non-refundable. She feels the charge is fair because they are so busy. Claims she told us it was non-refundable. You only see this when you click to cancel the move. I guess it's on us to take them to small claims court. I will take this down if they return the deposit. I can see a reasonable charge if we had strung them out for weeks. read more

We have worked with a variety of movers in the area and I would not use them again. They were flexible and accommodating to changing schedules. The pace was slow and scope of the job not fully understood. We hired help packing the morning of and the people that were sent did not know how to pack. I expected them to be the experts with the correct packing materials, which was not the case. We have several friends who recently had a full house packed in one day with the same amount of movers. Our kitchen took 4 hours, which was half packed when they arrived. Other moving companies provide information up front of what they can and cannot do. We did not receive this information up front leading to differing expectations of the job. Overall I have had much better experiences with other moving companies and I would not recommend On the Move. read more

Had a great experience with On the Move. They showed up on time, did a good job loading and unloading the truck. The crew was friendly and efficient. I paid just over $180 per hour for a three person crew. Thirty minutes each way for drive time. They collected a $300 deposit. Would absolutely use them again. read more

We needed 3 appliances moved from a kitchen to a garage. It was probably a 15-20 min job for 2 people and a dolly. We called these guys. To do this they wanted $300=non-refundable fee, and they were going to send 3 guys. THey arrived on time and were efficient. But for what they had to do, we felt the fee was excessive. read more

Called two weeks in advanced to schedule their junk removal service. The lady I spoke with was very helpful on the phone, she said I had to pay ten bucks an hour more to have work done on a Saturday. Up to $190 from $180 per hour and that I would only be billed for the hours worked and that they wouldn't bill until after they dumped it to calculate the fees accurately. On top of that they wanted a $300 down payment for the services. They showed up on time and called ahead to make sure I was there and started working immediately. No issues with the work done. Then came the bill. They said I owed $875 on top of the $300. Apparently they actually charge 5 hours minimum on Saturday and a $200 minimum for dump fees. Was able to get the price down a bit but would have just done it myself if I knew that going in. Wouldn't recommend. read more

I do not have an issue with how hard anyone worked. I have an issue with the fact that my bed arrived with deep scratches in the wood frame and no hardware. I am sleeping on the floor on my mattress since I cannot put my bed together. I have an issue with my free standing jewelry box where legs of the stand are broken so I cannot put it back together. I have an issue with the fact that these professional movers showed up with no hand truck and did not use ours. They moved one box at a time. I have an issue that the team did no inventory on arrival and continued to ask us if particular items needed to be moved or acted surprised at what was expected to be moved. We were moving, to another state, when a household moves they need to take everything. As I said, I have a big list, DON'T take a chance on these guys. Use a professional that does an inventory on arrival and gains agreement up front on what will and will not be done by the company. read more

These guys showed up on time and busted their butts moving all our stuff from a very large house [ 4000 sq ft] Anthony, Taylor Jason, Lexi, and Tailor worked all day. They had to make 3 trips. Redmond to Powell Butte Oregon. They moved our piano and 2 large refrigerators up many stairs. These guys & gals are very friendly and got the job done on time! We got bids from two companies. Wish I had paid more initially and hired College Hunks! We went with the lower bid, (which ended up being substantially more), On the Move Movers...ugh! Their initial bid was less than $900 to move our furniture and baby grand across town. On moving day they were only about half done by 5 pm and informed us of exorbitant overtime fees. This was a Friday, so overtime applied for all weekend. So we requested they finish on Monday. It took them twice as long as their estimated time/cost. The movers were cordial but very slow and carried one box at a time. I suggested hand trucks and they nixed that idea. Over $1900 later with my 72 year old husband hauling numerous pick up loads we finished. They broke an $800 glass dining table and the "settlement" for it was $42 and change. Horrible experience!!!!! Do NOT hire these people. If I could have rated them at zero I would have. This explains my rating. read more

We were definitely in a time crunch during this move, especially moving from one property and into 2 smaller ones. The movers were very helpful and accommodating, it was a hassle free situation as they helped to bring back and arrange some of the furniture that was mistakenly dropped off at other properties but it wasn't their fault. I called these guys in the afternoon and needed them to be at a business location at 6am the next morning for a quick 4 hour job. I personally hate early morning calls but Jason and Anthony showed up early and worked their butts off on a chilly 30 degree morning. Not only did they pack everything with great care, they also made sure to be mindful of the business. They were loaded in a little over two hours and unloaded at the new location quickly. Ive been looking for local movers to move my items, very skeptical, due to having bad experiences. But i went with on the move movers due to the reasonable prices. The crew showed up on time, and was very nice men if you ask me. They wrapped everything and used moving blankets to make sure my furniture doesn't get ruined. The truck was packed VERY good! Wish I could give the company 5 stars but this was the most frustrating and expensive of my 11 moves over the years. We transported a lot of our items the day before. The moving day took 14 hours and they still didn't get everything out of our home. They spent 8 1/2 hours loading the one truck, and we then had to move the remainder of our belongings the following day ourselves. They needed an additional truck from the beginning (for which we would have been happy to pay) in order to load and transport all of our household items. I gave the company 2 stars because the guys were kind, considerate and careful which I greatly appreciate. read more

Not only did they not show up for the job when scheduled, nor complete it in time promised (they took three days to do what should have taken 1-1.5 days). When they did show up they broke items, stained our couch, cracked an antique dresser, and overall did a terrible job packing. The owner he'd pay for damages 3 months back and has never followed through or returned emails or calls. I've heard every excuse in the book, but still no reimbursement for the damages they caused. While the actual movers worked very hard and diligently. I was more than a little frustrated when our quote for move was $140 an hour provided by the business owner himself, mid stream into move we were advised by one of the young men that the owner called and appparently he had mis quoted us and it was going to $200 an hour since the move was being made on the weekend. They are very prompt, efficient and professional so when we needed help moving a very expensive antiques we called them. They came out the following morning and took great care moving it. Got totally hosed by these guys. Had a move from a 2 bdr apt to a house, plus a second move days later from storage to the house. Three guys did the apartment move, took them 8 hrs. The same move (the guys that moved me into the apartment) took TWO guys 6.5 hours. This should have been a 5 hr or less move! Three extra hours at $155/hr!! When I asked the lead guy about it, he said he had "two new guys" on the job! I thought I hired professionals, not paid to train them!! Then, tried to contact Joe for four days post move (and before the second move). He never returned my calls. Finally reached him the day before the second move, four days after my move, and he said he would look into it, never heard back from him. The lead guy started texting me at 5:30pm about the move the next day. Yeah, right!! I told him there wouldn't be a next day move as I still hadn't heard back from Joe about the problems with the first move. He had the gall to send me an invoice for $500 for "cancelling within 24 hrs". Run from these guys, not professionals at all. read more
