I was told on the phone by the Central Oregon division that yes I could have a unit delivered on March 11th. I did not hear anything further after that. I called again two more times requesting more information and confirming that a unit will be delivered on March 11th. I called on the day of expected delivery, March 11th asking when the unit will arrive and was told perhaps in the next few days. I reminded them that I was told March 11th was confirmed. The person on the phone at that time said no, they did not confirm a date for delivery at all because they never received a rental agreement. I was never informed that I needed a rental agreement to reserve. As a result, I had to search for another company to resolve the mistake made by Storage 2 U, they never admitted their error.

We've had excellent experiences with the Bend, Oregon CubeSmart on NE 4th Street. It's a new…read morefacility, spotlessly clean, secure, and well-organized. It is climate-controlled (AC in summer; heat in winter), so that is very helpful for storing our stuff. The staff are friendly and helpful, and Barbie, the manager, explained clearly everything we needed to know. Our move-in (with a commercial moving van) went flawlessly, and since then, we've gone by at various hours to put additional stuff in the storage unit. There are always plenty of carts available for transporting our stuff. My only (small!) suggestion for them is to get a better loading ramp, with a smoother surface, to facilitate wheeled carts. I think they're on it already, though--when I talked to Barbie, she said they knew it was difficult and they planned to build a better ramp.

I have heard they are under new management, so I might not have any place leaving a review. If they try to make you purchase your own lock, and tell you that you have to give 30 days notice from "your billing date" instead of just 30 days notice, then avoid this business as they are still running it the same way. If however they do not make you purchase a new lock and have a different move out policy than the new owners are better then the previous and they have actually overhauled the business plan. Give them a call and ask about their policy on raising the unit rent and requiring you to buy their crappy lock for $12.
