I am really surprised by how good the reviews were and how poor the service was. I called them on June 30th and left a voicemail that we needed a mover. I did not receive a call back until July 7th. When I spoke with them on the 7th they made an appointment with me to come out on the morning of July 9th to evaluate what needed to be packed and moved. They didn't show up and didn't call me to let me know they were not coming. I called them the next day to see what happened and left them a voice message because no one answered. Today is the 14th and I still haven't heard a thing from them. They may be great movers of your belongings IF they call you back and IF they show up to their appointments. It is the summer and I understand they are very busy but all they needed to do on the 7th when I spoke with them is to tell me that they are scheduled to capacity and could not take on any more clients. Taking on more than you can handle and then failing to meet modest expectations is not a great business strategy. read more

Was not happy overall with my experience. Positives were that they moved a ton of stuff for us. We have a huge house 3,800 sqft. They worked hard during the move--moving very heavy items. I appreciated there hard work. BUT Had several issues and would not recommend them to others: (I have moved with movers before and never had a bad experience) 1. Broken bed screws we had to repair the night we moved in. They assembled the bed and I went to lay on it broke. High end bed, 4 years old. Am certain some strain Occure's during move. 2. Took way longer than they planned for so they had to come back next day. I had cleaners scheduled so that was an issue. They said everything was out of the house remaining to be moved so cleaners could come, but there were boxes, large bags of clothes, sports equipment, a tv, etc. 3. They forgot to move stuff--an entire shelf with all our garden tools was left at old garage. 4. They bid $1800 then charged $2900 for "all the extra work for the big job." They did a walk through and were able to see how full house was and how much big furniture we had. I went with them due to low bid and good reviews. They did come down to $2500 when I complained. I had several other bids in $2200-2400 range. As all the reviews were good I thought I should leave a realistic veal so others don't have same frustration. read more

This is the second time we have used Ryan and his crew to help us move and they are THE BEST!!!! The whole crew was very friendly, polite and super hard working with a great can do attitude. We put them to the test with 3 extremely large and heavy items. They were thoughtful, careful and strategic about how they moved each item. All of our furniture was wrapped well, no damage. The day went longer than we all expected but Ryan's hourly rate is very reasonable, especially for the heavy lifting that they did. In addition, Just Solutions does move out cleaning as well! I decided to take advantage of this service and they did a great job, very thorough. Again, the price was reasonable. I highly recommend Just Solutions Moving. Moving can be so stressful, and this was our first time moving from one city (Portland) to the next, and with a toddler in tow! Ryan and his crew helped us breathe deeply after many days of packing up our Portland home and driving a giant U-Haul over the pass, complete with pool table that needed to be moved very carefully. They made the quickest work of a 26-foot-long truck packed to the brim than I could ever imagine! I cannot properly describe how happy I was that I did. They went above and beyond helping us move across town. I was one of the unlucky ones. Just Solutions Moving had great reviews and I was very pleased with my interaction with Ryan and his staff person, Robbie. That is up until about three days before the move. Ryan contacted me to let me know the start time of my move would be 1.5 hours later than originally agreed. I received another call the day before the move stating it would likely be later than that. The day of the move, the movers (without Ryan) showed up and got started five hours later than originally scheduled. This wouldn't be a problem if I hadn't very clearly communicated how much there was to move. Ryan's wife led the crew of 3-4 guys, only one of which seemed to be regular crew person. There was one "lead" guy that seemed in charge of how the trucks were getting loaded and I found him to be very rude and snarky on multiple occasions. He and I went toe-to-toe twice on a couple of issues, the first being which items were going in which truck based on WHERE they would be unloaded. He proceeded to tell me how and where the items were going and that it wouldn't matter how the trucks were loaded. The second was that numerous boxes were unloaded into a large shop that were suppose to be in the house. He snarked at me saying I told him to put the there. I explained that there doesn't seem to be a SINGLE lead person taking charge of where anything is going and that EACH person has individually asked me where things are to be placed and that I based my response off of which box they had in their hands at the time. There was one guy that was younger that was in Bend for the summer to hike, etc and had taken this side job as a break from his corporate job. He was the ONLY person on the crew that could remember what I would say regarding where things went, how to stack (or not stack boxes that were clearly marked NO STACKING) and was very helpful and accommodating. He was friendly, efficient (loading up the hand truck with more than one box at a time vs. how the one-box-at-a-time many of the crew members moved items). I was very disappointed in how my furniture was handled and wrapped, with damage to at least three pieces. The crew touched my white fabric dining chairs no less than 15 times, moving them across the room over and over as they placed them in front of others trying to get through hallways, stairways, etc. (with dirty handprints showing as evidence) with no semblance of a plan on how to best handle them. I was VERY clear in how an antique dresser was to be taken apart and moved yet found it moved completely the opposite of how I had requested. I had spoken directly with Ryan's wife specifically about this piece. The snarky "lead" guy told me he couldn't figure out how to remove the mirror so he just wrapped it up and proceeded to bring it downstairs and out the door. I am specifically very disappointed in how this piece of furniture was handled. The mirror could have easily snapped off and then what? It's a piece of furniture that's not replaceable. There was very little organization or communication from the lead person. I currently have three of the four patio chairs on the patio with one chair shoved in the back of the garage. Who thought the patio set that they moved from my old house to my new house had lost a chair in the transition?! I have boxes that are suppose to be in the house that are in the garage. I have boxes that are in the garage that are suppose to be in the house. I've spent a week now moving boxes here and there trying to locate everything. The more I unpack and try to locate things the more irritated I get. I am a very organized and efficient. I am this way for a reason - so I can find things when I'm ready to unpack. Prior to the crew arriving at my home to start loading the trucks, I had every box packed, taped shut and labeled on the top AND on the side so if they are stacked you can always see which room they belong in and the contents of the box. I explained this to the lead person before we started to PLEASE stack the boxes so I can see the labels so I don't have to move EVERY box to find things. This did not happen and it's a cluster f! There are boxes turned every which way and boxes that say DO NOT STACK are stacked. Clearly this crew was not professional or aware of how to handle expensive furniture, how to be organized or how to interact with a homeowner. This was by far the worst experience I have had with a moving company and I've moved over 15 times in my lifetime. I wish I could recommend Just Solutions Moving, but I can't. I regret booking this company and I also regret not tipping that professional young man staying in Bend for the summer that was heading back to his corporate job. I always tip each moving staff person well because I know it's a tough job and that it likely doesn't pay all that well, but I was so upset at the end of the experience that I forgot to tip him. It's very hard to find good movers but the crew at Just Solutions Moving were top notch. Communication was excellent and they even showed up early which is unheard of.
