These folks did a fine job overall either my move, but because they miss-set my expectation on a delivery date, I'm downgrading my stars for them. I appreciate the initial meeting with their move coordinator and felt like that process was easy and well/communicated. The pricing was about what I expected for my cross-country move. The team that came to pack and load my stuff was awesome and is the main reason I would recommend the company overall. They showed up on time, communicated well, and knew what they were doing. That said, some of my stuff was ridiculously packed...wrapped in layers and layers of paper and then wrapped in packing tape very VERY tightly. And this was for plastic containers of things like moisturizer. Lots of non-fragile things were unnecessarily wrapped up, in my opinion, and this made it tough to get unpacked later. Because I had a cross-country move, I was given a range of delivery dates, which was fine with me. But at some point of the trip I was updated with an actual delivery date, and they missed this. I get that in the big picture of a massive move like this a missed delivery day won't ruin my life. But a lot of planning and expectation gets pretty rattled and quickly kills the excitement of settling in a new city. So for me, this was a HUGE miss on their part. I realize the missed delivery wasn't the fault of the individuals I was working with but could be chalked up to big corporate scheduling to maximize profit. Nonetheless, it's frustrating for me as the consumer. I was also disappointed that I never heard from my move coordinator once I contacted him about the messed up delivery. I felt like I didn't have an advocate and was just at the mercy of whatever. That really sucked, in my opinion. Anyway, I would recommend this company for local moves for sure. For out of state stuff, I don't think my experience would have been all that different t with another shipper, so I think my recommendation is to just ignore all "dates" you get and don't put any plans in place that would require dates to be met. Tough to do sometimes, but I'm afraid the issue isn't solvable. read more

In the fifteen years we have lived in Bend we have had three moves for which we needed professional moving services. For those moves we used Prestige Moving and Storage, the Allied agent in Bend. Each time we had a stellar experience for the packing and moving being carefully executed. They did exactly what they said they would do, exactly as they promised to do it and every person we worked with, from management to office staff to the guys doing the heavy lifting were professional and friendly. Given we needed to store furniture and belongings with them for a few months each time, we also had a top notch experience using Prestige for that service as well. All in all, at each step we felt as if our belongings were treated as carefully by the Prestige team as if they were their own. In fact our experiences with Allied were the best we've had of the several interstate and intrastate moving experiences before moving to Bend. We are hoping to move from Bend in the not too distant future and Prestige will be the company we'll use for that move too because we trust them to do it right. There may be movers who do as good a job as Prestige, but in all our years of experience, we haven't found a mover who does it better. read more

Prestige Moving & Storage - Movers Near Me - Bend, Oregon

These guys led by Derek, were outstanding on my move from so. CA up to Bend! I couldn't be happier with all of the guys who worked to get my belongings safely loaded up and safely unloaded. They were prompt, courteous, organized, and speedy (in a good way - not an unsafe with my things way). I would highly recommend this company - and will plan to use them again when I make another move! read more

Prestige is an agent for United Van Lines - expensive full service movers. We hired them & paid $10,000 to move, feeling confident we had a reputable mover. Moving day started before 8 am & they were finished & ready to leave at 9 pm at night. At that time, they presented a 14 page itemized list of what they packed and required us to sign it. Everything was already packed and there were tons of abbreviations & codes for everything. When they unpacked at our destination, a valuable African drum (authentic made by a West Guinea master drummer) was demolished. I filed a claim. They responded it was "packed by owner" not by them. On investigation, I was told the moving agent had written "PBO" next to each of 8 drums I had moved. This must be because they feared one breaking because I only had a case for one drum - and I told them that case was not padded or protective. They wrapped them all in moving blankets as I watched. I warned them twice that if one fell over in transit the head would break. Because it said PBO next to each of my 8 drums - a clear lie - my claim & appeal went nowhere & I have a $1200 broken drum. They also deeply scratched my dresser in front, & gave us $100 for that. Obviously that would not be enough to replace it & I probably couldn't find a matching one anyway. I had read moving horror stories, and I thought choosing a reputable mover would be safe. I didn't expect them to lie proactively to cover themselves if a drum broke. Not only that but we tipped 5 people $100 each for loading, and same at destination. Total charges were $10,000 & we did $1000 in cash tips. read more

March 28 2021 Liars.... That is what this company is!!!! Let's just start with Brian.... Right from the start we asked if they were a Broker.  Brian assured us they were not a broker.   That is the only reason we went with this company.  A week before the movie we tried to get a hold of them.  We found it very difficult and no one would answer the phone.  We start to get just a little worried at this point.  Then a couple days before the move Chris finally calls us back.  Chris doesn't have the list that we gave Brian and asked us to give the breakdown of our stuff once again.  So we gave Chris the breakdown again, the same breakdown we gave Brian....  Brian and Chris both still gave us the same quote for our move $2284.78. The moving van arrives at our storage in a 26-ft Enterprise rental truck.   When they opened up the truck door there was other people's stuff already on the truck... When they opened the door stuff had fallen all over the place inside the truck.  I wish I would have taken pictures of it.   I have my storage open at this point . They start walking into my storage and estimating everything in my storage. Then The driver tells me it's going to cost me $3,000 to move our stuff.  Our original quote was $2284.78.  They are wanting me to sign some papers agreeing to the $3,000.   I don't know if this is on top of the down payment of $760.00 we already put down. So I refused to sign anything at this point. I asked for their boss's number to call him and they said here is the broker's number.  Then driver gives me the broker's number.   I was like a broker... We did not go through a broker!!!!   I don't know who the driver was talking to but he seems to be able to get a hold of somebody.  The number the driver gave us to call we can't get a hold of anybody.    No one's calling us back.  This has been going on for an hour and a half now.  We chose this company because they said they were not a broker. We didn't want to go through brokers because we've heard nothing but bad things when you go through brokers.   You can never get a hold of them.  They don't call you back they don't know anything that's going on.  This is one of the biggest reasons why we didn't want to go through a broker.  I'm also looking in the truck and seeing how everything has fallen all over the place and thinking I don't know if I trust these guys with my personal belongings.  So we are trying to get a hold of Brian can't get a hold of Brian can't get a hold of Chris.  The movers decide they're going to go to lunch.   I don't know if they're coming back at this point.  I don't have time to be playing games with people.  I have a 9-hour drive that I have to do that day.  We are on a really tight schedule.  I'm feeling very uncomfortable that we have been lied to.    The movers will not even touch or stuff until we agree to pay $3,000 for the move.  At this point if we put our stuff on their truck it would fill it up and they still had one more stop that they were supposed to pick up.   My husband finally gets a call from some girl.  We don't know what her name was.  But she pretty much was calling us a liar about what we said we had in our storage... My husband asked her to read the list that we gave to Brian and Chris.  She starts reading off the list. My husband said that's exactly what we have in our storage.  If you would load that up in the truck that would be great....  She hung up on him. We had to find another way to move our stuff but they still kept our $760 deposit and refused to give it back... read more

Bryan and his office helped out to prepare for my daughters move locally in August . They were extremely helpful

We needed to move my parents into assisted living from Bend Oregon to Port Townsend Washington. We gave Prestige a short time frame to complete the move. They were able to provide a quote and firm up a moving date that work just perfect for us. The quote was very reasonable, and we got a fantastic surprise what's the date of packing and loading with about a 20% reduction in the total price of the move due to the fact that we attacked some of our items ourselves. Upon delivery, even though I was delayed getting to the property where they were delivering the furniture the crew was able to get started with the help of the management company. They placed all the large furnishings where they needed to be unloaded the boxes into the appropriate rooms. We will find any damage to any of our items. These guys went above and beyond what I've experienced with moving companys. read more

As another single woman who had a terrible experience with these movers, I was blown away to read Danielle's review. Jason also sat in MY living room and told me, with complete earnestness, how much "easier" my move was going to be "now that everything was in their hands." Nothing could be further than the truth. They "lost" an unbelievable amount of items (I think they were left behind because I had originally booked the truck and apparently it was too small,) of course Jason did not bother to take a look before moving day to check. He hired a third guy to "make things quicker" without my permission and then tried to charge me for it. They arrived with the van at my new location (also a different state,) basically dumped my stuff in my new apartment and left. Nothing was unpacked. My bed was not put together because they "forgot their tools;" (as they told my landlord,) one small crescent wrench was all that was required. They could have bought one at the hardware store a block away. I was in touch with them a half-hour out, and they were supposed to wait for me. They just left. After three days traveling with my dog and cat I was exhausted and walked into a huge mess. They were supposed to take the balance of payment upon delivery. They didn't even wait and then tried to invoice me an additional $800. I had to hire new movers the next day to have my things re-situated, bed put together, etc. my landlord from Bend called to tell me they had left items in my apartment which I then had to pay to have shipped. Worst of all, I am still finding (not finding) things that were "lost." I thought maybe this was a one-time thing and wasn't going to write this review until I read the other. It was too similar a story and if I can help someone else by speaking out, I will. Bad karma, guys. Bad karma. read more

Prestige has moved us a total of 3 times, twice to Bend, and once out of Bend. Each time they were excellent to work with. They were extremely good and efficient packers, they were in regular contact to plan the arrival of our stuff, and great about unloading items where they should be. If you ever need to move to or from Bend, these are the guys to use! read more

First experience using moving company. These guys were terrific. Showed up exactly when they said they would. Worked efficiently and smoothly through my home and loaded the truck perfectly using every square inch. They chatted as they passed each other on the ramp, they chatted with me and my husband as they packed boxes. They were friendly and fun. Next day arrived at my new location and did perfectly the opposite. They were respectful of my home and belongings. I greatly appreciate this group of movers. read more

Thanks to Bryan and his crew for the great work they have done. They have moved not only my home, but my business as well and each time it's been a great experience. With my home, they've moved me in their busy season as well as their slow season. It's been good either way. As is sometimes the case, closing escrow can be a bit uncertain and this affected us with trying to set up an actual move date. Bryan was extremely accommodating with my uncertainty - and even during his busiest time of the year. He was great about keeping me appraised of arrival times for his crew, the crew were all extremely respectful, and they were conscientious of taking care of my belongings. With the business move, they were dedicated to getting everything done in one day - which was a BIG challenge because of the heaviness of the items being moved. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Another single woman here who had a terrible experience. I've left multiple messages for them to discuss my experience and no response. The movers themselves were nice and friendly enough. They had three guys at the beginning who seemed really responsible. By the afternoon (it was a Friday) they added two other guys who seemed less capable. They literally packed an LCD flat screen TV in a wardrobe box, unwrapped, no cushioning, with random other items. It took me a day to find it. Their quote was $1300. I understand quotes are not binding. But the final amount was almost $2000. I didn't realize until they had left that they didn't even move everything from my old house. I had to make two additional trips to pack big items that they didn't bother packing. For $2000? What a rip off. And again, no one has bothered returning my phone calls. Unacceptable. Will never, ever use them again. read more

I was not a paying customer so I don't want to tank their average here, but be advised that the crew refused to wear masks while in my house, citing difficulty breathing. read more

In any move, it depends entirely on the skill and experience of the crew and driver. In our case, we were very lucky to get Tom, a seasoned driver, and excellent loading/unloading crews on both ends. We only lost a couple of inconsequential breakable items in boxes that we packed. Even though we moved to Tucson, Tom hired crews from Phoenix, 90 miles away, to unload our stuff because he didn't think the crews from Tucson were as good. The crews were unfailingly professional and willing to please. We were also pleased to get a refund, the first time ever from a mover, since the load was lighter than was estimated. read more

Bryan was a true professional. The packers and shippers were efficient and careful with belongings. The move from Bend to Denver was made less stressful with their care and I am ever so thankful. read more

If you want to pay exorbitant costs (of course, they are affiliated with Allied) then feel free to get a quote and move with Prestige. Their quote was 4 X the price of any other mover in town. We were moving five blocks away and they were going to charge us the same price that it took to move from California to Oregon. Steer clear of these fools. My god. read more

I called Prestige Moving & Storage in Bend based on the recommendation of our realtor. I worked with the sales manager Jason, who scheduled movers through Allied Van Lines in Southern California. They got it right on what counts when moving: arrived on-time on scheduled date, packed professionally and efficiently, delivered to storage on date promised, all items in great condition. The movers clearly put in extra effort to set up the storage unit in a horseshoe so all items could be viewed and accessed. We are grateful to have had such a good experience and will use Prestige with any of our moving needs going forward! read more

Jason did an excellent job of coordinating our move from Bend to Las Vegas. The crew he assigned to our job -- Mark Buck, Ryan and Niah -- were hard-working competent and showed up on time! Would highly recommend them. read more

Prestige is the WORST moving company you could ever encounter. They're dishonest plain and simple. Sloppy work, broken stuff, damaged stuff and the list goes on and on. I'd move myself before I ever called this company. Completely unprofessional and they really don't care what happens to your stuff! read more

Positives and negatives. All of the movers themselves were friendly. They worked hard. Customer service on phone was friendly and helpful. The negatives are these - as we were moving a long distance we were required for insurance purposes to have the movers do the packing. I wasn't thrilled with the result. Things that should have not been packed yet, with liquids in them, were packed without questions. Upon receiving them there was mold and mess to clean up. Much too much paper used for anyone to consider sane (towels wrapped in paper?) Labels had the barest of info (small box; bedroom; garage) Do you know how many garage boxes I have? These are just small issues. The biggy though is that our beautiful, solid wood dining table, which we've had since we married 22 years ago, arrived with the pegs which fit into the expandable leaves crushed. We had to pull them out because they would no longer fit and leave the table leaves not completely locked together. Disappointing. This has led me to a new decision I should have made years ago - don't tip prior to delivery and quality check. Again, everyone was nice, just wish a bit more care was used. read more

Absolutely the worse experience with Prestige/Allied. We booked our move nearly three months in advance. Jason reviewed our load in advance and provided an estimate. The truck showed up on the planned date and driver informed us he did not have enough room. We advised the driver and loading crew to take all house items before loading the garage and outdoor items. They did not follow those instructions, nor communicated with us to give us the option to select what goes now and later. Prestige promised and charged us for a delivery window which they met with only part of our belongings. The remainder load still sits at origin, waiting for another truck. The latest mis-information Prestige has provided is it will be two more weeks before the delivery of the remainder of our load. We are without important living items at our new home 800 miles away. In addition Prestige crew damaged two custom pieces of furniture, one during loading and another during transport. Do not use Prestige/Allied for your move. read more
