Came for the Heiwa service ($119 for 85 mins). It was so relaxing and they take care of your from beginning to end with the same person. It starts with choosing your essential oil, which they waff throughout. The scalp massage was soothing- so much that I likely fell asleep for some part. They washed my hair meticulously and carefully. They also put on a cream mask to moisturize and unclog my pores. Lastly you end up with a blow dry to volumize the hair. This was my first head massage experience and I can say that the only thing that was disappointing was that I didn't get a longer service . I got the Sakura service and didn't really know what to expect. There's ample parking in the lot so one less thing to worry about. When I got here, There aren't private rooms but the areas are sectioned off by curtains and still maintains a serene and private environment. Since the Sakura includes a neck and shoulder massage I was asked to take off my shirt which caught me off guard since I was with a friend and didn't expect it but they allow you to keep undergarments on and cover you with a blanket which made it really cozy. Zen head spas lives up to its name- you leave feeling extremely 'zen' and thanking yourself that you invested in your self care. When you come in or leave, the manager running the salon is engaged, welcoming, and kind. You can tell this is the staff want you to have an amazing time, and their skill level gets better every time - this is my second time here and Tracy's masseuse technique got even better. Keep it up Tracy! I came with some friends and they were asked about the firmness of the massage and preference. I love that they're able to accommodate a group, and the operations is efficient and clean. Other perks: discounts for 5 pack- packages and you can share your package with your partner or friends. If you like your first service (you will) you can count that first service as part of your package. Plenty of parking and great food nearby. There are a lot of 10 minute parking spots nearby but allegedly they do not tow. Been to a few scalp spas and this one definitely is high up on my favorites! Absolutely beautiful, clean, and serene spa. Friend and I split the certificate package and highly recommend you get the package cause you are going to want to come again! Zen (the owner) has magical hands and literally did the best scalp scrub using her fingers and not her nails. She literally is so gentle but firm and scrubbed every part of my scalp. My scalp felt so clean and rejuvenated. She didn't have to use any accessories like the fancy shmancy machines. Some places with use different brushes and different scalp tools, but she literally uses the force and power of her hands. Literally knocked out like a baby in the chair and woke up to myself snoring lol. Keep in mind I have scalp psoriasis and she did such a good job with it all and my scalp was so clear afterwards. She also did a beautiful blow out with the Dyson blow dryer and used wonderful products that made my hair look absolutely beautiful. Zen literally made me feel and look so good! My friend also really enjoyed her service with her technician too, we both really felt relaxed and enjoyed our treatment. We cannot wait to come back again. Highly recommend. Again I have very sensitive scalp and skin, and all her products were very gentle and did not burn. The shoulder massage was to die for and she has very brand new equipment too of the line. Went to Zen Head Spa about a month ago. Saw a TikTok on it and seemed cool. Did their $85 Sakura package, which per their website came with: Scalp massage with salt and oil Shampoo and conditioner Hot towel Neck and shoulder massage Face cleansing Cucumber mask Blow dry (15 mins) This felt more like an over-paid hair wash and nothing else. The neck and shoulder massage, I asked for it to be firm and the person that did mine seemed very timid and did it light. The scalp massage didn't last very long. And I wish they would have given the option of a longer massage and not done the blow dry. The Sakura is usually $105 but is currently on special for $85. Basically after the tip, it was $105 anyways. Personally, would not return. I've had better for less price and closer to home. read more

I booked a 90 min head spa experience with friends using the online 5 pack deal which came out to about $100 per person before tip. The deal is insane value for your money since they allow you to book as a group or separate into different visits. We all really enjoyed our experiences! The head spa is done in a soft adjustable recliner and since we were all friends, they didn't set up curtains between each chair. The head massage, shampoo, and steam were very relaxing. I could have done without the facial and mask, but it was a nice addition if you don't typically get facial treatments. I especially loved that the massage included the neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and upper back. The 90 minute treatment comes with a blow dry at the end of the experience. I have straight hair, so the blow dry wasn't anything special, but my friend has wavy hair and her hair looked like she had a full blow out after the blow dry. I definitely found this whole experience to be relaxing and rejuvenating and would return. It would be great if they offered the 90 minute treatment without the facial but with more massage time instead! read more

A few days ago, I came in with a group of friends on my birthday to do a headspa experience using their BLACKFRIDAY24 promotion. I had booked mine, my sister's, and my boyfriend's services and my other friends booked their own. Other than my boyfriend, we all did the 90min session Shizuka ($125 normally, $90 for the promotion) My experience during the actual massage and cleaning and facial was just okay. However, when it came to checkout, I was told that the promotional ad mentions that the payment must be made in cash or Venmo. I attached a screenshot of the ad where I got the discount and nowhere in the video or the post made on their instagram did it mention it being only cash. So it came down to my friend and I being pressured to pay for our services AND tip in either cash or Venmo, being told there was no option for us to pay in credit card. ALSO there's a MANDATORY tip of 20%, there were no other options. If you give less, the worker then looks at you expecting more and you're pressured to put out. I would've given tip regardless but I don't like to be forced into a position, that's outright shady and unprofessional. Will not be coming back to a business where there is no transparency. read more

I had a great experience at Zen Head Spa! It was very easy to book an appointment online day of, and you can pay in advance either in full (including gratuity) or put a deposit down and pay when you arrive. Plenty of parking and places to eat and drink in the center. I purchased the Shizuka service. You get to have cozy blankets which is nice. The first 30 minutes is scalp massaging, scratching and the hair washing. After that, they wrap your hair in a steam bonnet while they start the facial portion. I was worried about the bonnet but it was really comfortable and not loud. The facial consists of a great massage, a hot towel, and a cold gel mask with jade rollers. While the mask is on, your arms get massaged. The mask and bonnet are removed and the massage continues with your neck and shoulders. My girl did an AMAZING job. I was really impressed with the quality. They adjust the chair to sit you up to really get into your muscle. My blow dry was 15 minutes and I couldn't do what she did in 15 at home. I asked for a round brush versus straight and it came out so nice. I was sad I had no where to go after. I have been to other scalp massage places before, and this is ranks towards the top. Everything was perfect! This was my first time doing the head spa and had been meaning to try a place for so long! I am SO GLAD I picked Zen! They were doing a 15% off special if you booked for two for valentines day. My boyfriend and I went together and he enjoyed his experience as well. The minute you step in the ambiance is extremely relaxing and they check if you want to use the restroom before you start...which I really appreciate as someone who always has to go pee it was thoughtful! The spa is very clean and orderly. We booked the 60 min service and I have no critiques at all! It was so incredible, the staff were very kind, quiet and attentive. They pay attention to all the details such as where to put your items and changing into a towel wrap. They even put a long pillow under your knees/legs for comfort. The head and face massages were so thorough and I never wanted them to end! The scratching on the head during the wash was perfect. The lighting was off/low and peaceful tones were playing on the TV. They have curtains so you are separated from others but get to be with your party. They wash your face, massage, do a face mask and cold jade rollers as well. Every detail is thought out and I loved it! The smells of all their products were very relaxing as well! I had read about head spas lacking on the hair drying. I have long thick hair so I figured I would be leaving with half wet hair. 15 minutes is never enough to dry my hair. WOW was I wrong. They have those fancy dyson air dryers and my hair was brushed, dried and oiled within 15 mins and I was shocked! They even have cold water, mints, and little candies in the waiting area while my boyfriend waited for my hair drying. The owner was extremely nice, gifted me a jade roller and gua sha which was so kind!! I can't wait to do it at home! Paying in full online was super simple and I got to include the tip. Have been to Zen Head spa 2x now: once with a bachelorette party where we split the 5 time pass amongst us for a solid deal; another time with just one girl friend to treat ourselves. Each time I've done the Shizuaka 90 min head spa treatment. The ladies who work here are friendly and effective. The ambience is calm with zen music . While not private rooms, there is reasonable space between the lined up salon seats and the dark black out curtained ambience provides plenty of privacy. You get a full scalp treatment with calming aromatherapy and a remarkably thorough upper back massage (thank you Yuka!) Of the 3 headspas I've been to, this one really does give the best value for your money, and of course it doesn't hurt that you leave the spa with beautiful blown-out hair as sleek as a saluki's, perfect if you're headed somewhere nice or have plans later in the day. I'm thinking of buying a 5x pass just for myself to use as a repeat customer. read more
