I was going to this practice for almost 8 months on a weekly basis. Dr. Zhong is very knowledgeable…read moreand have accommodating hours, especially if you work an 8-5 job Mon - Fri. They have Saturday clinic hours. Just as a heads up, they are very busy on Saturdays and the walls are thin, so you may hear the conversations in the hallways. The acupuncture beds are not the most comfortable. Due to the number of clients that they see on Saturdays, sometimes it feels a little rushed compared to the other 2 acupuncture places I've tried. At each visit, the practitioner will listen to your pulse and check your tongue. They will place fine needles throughout your body's meridians for about 20 minutes. At the end of your session, they will prescribe herbal teas and/or supplements. They informed me that they do not take insurance....although Aetna lists them as in network. They do give you a superbill if you want to submit a claim to your insurance. The out of pocket charge each visit was $105 (on the more expensive side in Houston). They usually recommend herbs on top of that so, expect to spend another $40 - $60 for a week's worth of herbal teas. FYI, the prices on the initial consultation has increased so expect to pay $130+ for that. I didn't have success with my primary treatment, but I had secondary benefits like sleeping better and less stress.

As a Military Veteran and former athlete I know the importance of flexibility and how it prevents a lot of injuries and issues we suffer from day to day. I had an appointment with Saadia today and she did an amazing job! Not only did she stretch me very good, but she did an amazing job utilizing her body to get my body to move around the way she needed it to. (and I'm a big guy by the way) What impressed me the most was that I told her the areas that gave me issues and when she started to massage and stretch the areas she hit the exact problem spots without me even telling her where they were. It was really cool how just by her feeling around she knew exactly where the problem areas were. Overall the entire process felt great, i felt fluidity again in all my areas, and I will most definitely make it apart of my schedule to come in again as often as I can.
