Enjoyed a wrestling show here last night. A very large venue with very little air conditioning. Its a very old building but in great shape.

What a lovely place this was! My boyfriend and I started…read morehere on the Valentina Suite when we visited Harrisburg. The houses are so beautiful and well maintained! And the staff were all so friendly and attentive! Our room was so gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was absolutely delicious. We plan on staying again when we come back to Harrisburg in a few months.

This was the worst B&B I have ever experienced. We booked a…read morefive day stay for three couples a year in advance. When we arrived, we couldn't get in the building or our room. We had to make several phone calls to get the codes to access the building and room. This was just the first of many problems we encountered. The rooms were nice, but the service was terrible. We paid for a hot breakfast every morning, which was advertised when we booked. This was not the case when we arrived. No hot breakfast at all. Just cold lunch meat, hard boiled eggs, toast if you wanted to fix it yourself, instant oatmeal in a packet, over ripped bananas, and strawberries. This is not the hot breakfast that we paid for. I contacted the management company that operates the B&B and was told they stopped the hot breakfast two weeks before we arrived. I ask why we weren't informed about this. I was told they couldn't notified everyone that had reservations, over four hundred. I told them we would like to have a partial refund because they didn't give us what was advertised, and we paid for. As of today, they still list a hot breakfast on most of the travel websites. They didn't offer any refund. They said to review the cancellation policy. I then said we would have cancelled our entire stay if we had known this before we left home. Still no offer to at least a partial refund. We had to go to a restaurant and get our breakfast every day, and that was an extra expense. As of today, after several back and forth emails, still no offer of any kind of refund. As far as the service part of our stay. We had to ask every day for clean towels, wouldn't take the dirty ones, or empty the trash during our entire stay. I told the management company this is not a good way to run a business. I don't think they care at all about how they treat the people that rent at this B&B. I would never book this place again. I hope people read this review and avoid this property.

The bartender was prepping for that night but was super nice and took our orders. We tried a few different dishes. Everything was excellent. The Steak & Potato Soup (Brisket, Short Rib, Sirloin, Root Veggies, Bone Broth) for $5 was very flavorful and savory. The Parmesan Artichoke Fritters (Lemon Roasted Garlic Aioli, Parm Dust) for $7 were sooooo good. I wanted more. We had to negotiate to decide who got the last one. The Low Country Jambalaya (Shrimp, Chicken Breast, Cajun Andouille Sausage, Creole Tomato, Holy Trinity Vegetables, Long Grain Rice) for $15 had a very authentic taste and I would definitely order it again. Finally, the Four Cheese Baked Macaroni for $5 is good. I wish more people knew of this restaurant. People think this place is an art gallery or a theater or something and don't realize really good food is in there. Definitely worth the trip. I recommend daytime so you don't have to compete with the people there for the live music or other events.

The bar from the 3rd street entrance was enjoyable. Prices were ok, however...if there is a show going on upstairs, they charge $2 more for drinks even if you aren't going up to the event. That was annoying as my friend & I were just staying on the couches to drink. The ambiance was really chill in that section , velvety couches, soft lighting & live plants all around. They also had arcade games, 2 billiards tables, and a few electronic games scattered around this area. We went outside to listen to the open mic night poetry and enjoyed the beautiful evening.
