5 pc with extra fries and mozzarella bites
    Eugene T.

I mean to be honest I'm a Canes eater and I had heard so many people big up Zaxby's as more flavorful so I figured I should try it. Even though me and my girl agreed we wanted to try here on the day we were to go she claimed she wanted to try another day. When we pulled up and the parking lot was empty exterio except for 2 cars which were clearly employees she wanted to leave and we parked to find somewhere else to go. While there a few cars came in and I convinced her to stay and try it. Going through the drive-thru there did feel like a lot of options on the menu after being used to Canes simple menu when it came to chicken tenders. We both ended up getting I think a 5 piece tender basket subbing the coleslaw for extra fries. I get extra toast at Canes but as I didn't hear good about their toast and it didn't look that good I went with fries. I also added mozzarella bites since I was there. As far as the food I get why people say it's more flavorful but it's over seasoned to me. The fries were way too seasoned, but they were so much so I think it was this store and instead of Zaxby's as a whole. The toast was not it. Too much seasoning on it and not a fan of just the slice of bread and how it held up. The chicken to me was flavorful but texture was too dry and thin. Not overly dry but drier than my preference. The sauce they have was not good and I could skip on it. The mozzarella bites were cool. The guy at the window, who I think was one of two employees there at the time we got there, was cool ordering with and picking up m so no complaints there. It's funny I realize this review is more about Zaxby's in general instead of this one store but I promise the rating I gave is based on this store. I'm struggling between giving them a 2 or 3 and I'm not sure if it's based on my experience or because I realized I clearly like Canes better. I'm going with a 3 because they were cool service wise and order and the food was okay.

5 Finger plate with questionable large fry order...

Wouldn't recommend this place until they retrain staff. Order was just thrown together with a smaller order of fries then ordered.

Let's see how good they are. Can't be worse than Canes.

This was my first time ever in a Zaxby's. I did not realize that they only have stops and wings. I thought they were a regular chicken joint. So I got kind of excited because I love wings and strips. I was also excited to compare them to Canes (spoiler alert....I can't stand Canes). We ordered a family strip meal with 20 strips, fries, Texas toast, and an appetizer of cheese balls. I have to say, their strips were crispy and flaky so the presentation and the texture was very good. But the taste was delicious, for a strip. Now when I first heard about Canes everyone kept saying "the sauce is what makes it so great!" This lead me to believe that they had multiple amazing sauces to dip your strips in. NOPE! They only have the one disgusting fry sauce dip and their strips are awful! At Zaxby's, they DO have multiple sauces for your strips! So the combination of delicious strips, plus good sauces, equals a great strip meal. Zaxby's = 8.5 and Canes = 0.

Not sure why this location has so many bad reviews. Every time I go by the people are pleasant and the food is good. I normally always get the wing and chicken tender combo. Quite a bit a food for around 9 bucks and some change. The sauces are really good. Food is always fresh. The line moves fast. I think they are just as good as canes if not better. I like the fact that you can get actual real bone in wings here. Thats the deciding factor for me if I am wanting this or canes.

You can clearly see two curved nail impressions that broke the seal
    Cameron M.

Asked the employee for an extra sauce pack and she rolled her eyes, walks off to the back with my bag without saying anything, and returns with it saying she put one extra sauce pack in the bag. Now that I'm home I see it looks like she punched her nails through the top of the sauce pack. You can clearly see two curved nail impressions that broke the seal. Seeing as another recent recent review posted their salad with raw chicken in it, this location needs to get it together.

Food was terrible. Ordered a zalad and got wilted lettuce and very questionable blue cheese. Threw it away after one bite.

It's also conveniently close to home, so it seemed like a win. We went for happy hour on a Friday around 5:45 PM. It's seat-yourself, so we chose a table near the bar. Our waitress (whose name we later learned was Marissa) approached us and immediately asked, "Do y'all know what you want to drink?"--no greeting, no menu, no mention of specials, and no acknowledgment that it might be our first time there. The issue was... we didn't even have menus yet. We told her we weren't ready, and she walked off. After a few minutes of finally getting a look at the menu, we still hadn't been told anything about happy hour. My fiancé ended up going to the bar just to take photos of the beer options. When Marissa returned and asked again about drinks, I explained we had to go to the bar and try to figure out the specials. She simply said "okay" and walked away again. To be honest, the service from her felt rude and uninterested. She seemed rushed and even tapped her fingers on the table at one point while taking our order. Despite us mentioning it was our first time, there was no effort to walk us through the menu or highlight anything. What made it more confusing was that she appeared friendly and engaged with other tables--so I'm not sure what the disconnect was with us. We're always kind and respectful to wait staff, but the lack of basic hospitality made it hard to enjoy the experience. As for the food--unfortunately, it didn't make up for it. The crawfish were bland, and the "dipping sauce" tasted like straight hot sauce. The extras (corn, potatoes, sausage) were minimal--basically one of each, cut in half. The Parmesan wings were also underwhelming, tasting like bland Alfredo sauce with Parmesan on top, though they were at least fried well. There was a shift change, and the other waitresses we interacted with were fine--that's actually how we found out our original server's name. Overall, this was a disappointing first experience. Between the service and the food, it just wasn't worth the time or money. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

It normally comes with their house sauce, but I added the house‑made ranch since people on Google were raving about it. If you choose any heat level, it defaults to Nashville style breading; Coop's Classic is reserved for kids meals or no‑heat tenders. They asked if I wanted to swap the fries for something else. I asked what counted as an even exchange, and the only option was coleslaw--which the Double Clucker already comes with--so that made no sense whatsoever. I stuck with the fries. Oddly, the meal doesn't include a drink, so I added an Oreo milkshake since that also had good reviews. The staff was very friendly, and the milkshake came out first and fast. They served it to my table in the empty dining room. Flavor was fine, but it didn't come with the cherry shown in the photos and included in the menu description. Worse yet, it was extremely watery--super runny, not cold, and definitely not "Frosty" as advertised. See my videos. Big disappointment. When the food arrived, the tender itself was great--moist and flavorful. The mild heat level barely registered for me, but the ranch dip was better than the house sauce dip. The coleslaw didn't do it for me. It lacked flavor, and the cabbage pieces were cut way too large. Lastly, the fries. Oh boy. Not refrigerator cold, but definitely cool. Not warm, not hot--just... cool. And ack. Overall, I can only recommend the tenders. They do sell them à la carte for $4 and change, and those are the only thing worth getting that I tried. The sides and the milkshake were just a huge letdown.

At least not enjoy spending it. But with prices these days getting way out of hand what can you do. I got the rattlesnake because I saw it touted as their award winning burger. Not sure from where the award came. But this and their trash can tacos had the emblem next to it. You also get a veggie pack with your to-go burger which has chopped lettuce, pickles, raw onions and 2 slices of tomatoes. That's nice so you don't have to put on the required latex gloves to use their veggie bar to get these yourselves. It's in a separate bag. I thought this was the buger at first and was secretly getting a bit concerned when I saw the cook toss it onto the counter like a bean bag. The cashier was super nice. He offered me water as I waited. They had another guy working in the back cooking the food. You also get a thimble of ketchup in your Togo bag along with a packet of mustard and mayo. The bun was a little burnt. And I couldn't taste any of the mixed in jalapeños. Also I kinda wish they had whole lettuce rather than chopped just because it kept falling out of the burger. But other than these issues the burger was pretty tasty. Definitely not a McDonald's burger like one person posted. But also not the best burger ever as many other posters swear by. Definitely glad I went. But don't know if I'd be willing to spend another $20 on one of their Burgers either. They're closed on Sundays according to Google maps which is old school nice to see.
